If this game goes all out, I'd love to see a stage builder where you could make stages out of lego. Some Lego Movie representation would also be nice.
I can imagine a level creator being very fun, it would be awesome if you can build outside the area you can play in

Actually, watching this, I’m amazed that we haven’t seen a Lego battle royal yet.
The changable parts nature of mini figures lends itself to unlockable character customizations, the whole Lego concept of building with bricks could make for an evolution of Fortnite’s building mechanics, and it would appeal to all ages. Plus it already has a lot of crossover deals with multiple franchises IRL.
Maybe they’re just too late to the party to succeed, and they’d need a very talented dev to do the concept justice. Still, I’m surprised they haven’t at least tried.

Yeah! An even more cartoonish Fortnite, and it can be played offline, reshaping the whole island, play with the physics engine, lots of stuff to unlock and a fun game.
Don't think they are too much a fan of micro transactions. At least Tt games aren't. With the license soon to be opened up to other game studios, we could prob see a Lego battle royal
@@sonic-bb Yeah lego doesn’t like nickel and dimming people so there won’t be any of those. Now if it’s something like character packs that give you the character themselves, that they’re fine with, as well as expansions.
Imagine if Lego would actually make a good western or pirate set again. This trailer would suddenly make more sense.

@@Man_Jr._Studios Okay hear me out, The Western set will be about a small group of Cowboys along with a deputy goes around the Wild West fighting all types of bad guys like Outlaws, Hex wielding villains and DON'T FREAK OUT... Aliens and they also get help like Abraham Lincoln (or a dude that's similar like him) and an organization that build steampunk like weapons.
@@Man_Jr._Studios It was. As was pirates and just regular knights until they decided no child would buy something without a large brand behind it. So now all you've got is superheroes and Ninjago. I personally would like something more classic for my brother, but oh well. At least there's cheaper competitors with better quality.
All they need is to have some new western/pirate IP to work off with, we've ninjago for ninjas, Monkey King for eastern kung fu, and etc.

I think Sakurai said there was still going to be more Super Smash Bros. He just said this recent one set the bar a little high for the future of Smash Bros and that they probably won't be able to do something like that again😅. Hoping to see how this Lego game can hold up to that kind of platform

This has loads of potential. I appreciate more platformer-fighters coming out from big developers/brands to fill in for Smash Bros now that the DLC waves have finished.
Honestly, this looks amazing.
A fighting game is really something we've never truly seen in the Lego types of games!
I mean, we all know the brick ton of games from other franchises (Star Wars, Harry Potter, Marvel, ect), but this looks good!
Plus, from what i'm getting, this is kinda gonna be like the Miis, where you can not only have custom designs, but also custom weapons, and maybe even custom attacks!

given lego's track record as of the past 2 years in general... this is a nice breath of fresh air.
Lego games are usually hit or miss but when the lego game hits it hits HARD and so so far this game looks really good and im excitited to play this one

@@pineapplepenguin1759 That’s a shame, I like Ninjago though so I am glad it’s in there. I also have my Bionicle book collection and the upcoming open world PC game to look forward to so I don’t mind if it isn’t added.

Despite smash bros and all stars both drawing heavily from old characters, given that lego is always just trying to sell current sets, I can't see that happening honestly :(

I think there were a few fan games back in the day. I made one too, but honestly it's not very good. It does have basically all of the set based characters in it though.

May be possible to recreate hulk and a somewhat "venom" as they have the big minifig. As for star wars maybe something thats not called a lightsaber but has the same function will be a weapon.

For all of the really cool things announced in the Direct (where I assume this announcement came from), I actually have REALLY high hopes for this game being popular and good
LEGO has a pretty good track record when it comes to games and I think something like this is a *great* idea for a game! I myself especially have big hopes because a Lego game was one of the first games I ever really binged (Shoutouts to Lego Battles on the DS!)
