Had this guy just cooperated with the trooper, more than likely he would’ve just gotten a ticket, possibly even just a warning , and been about his way. But when you just give them a hard time on top of being in violation then they’re definitely not gonna help you out. C’mon people.

Now that he has been arrested, they have every right to search the car. He screwed up at the end. If he didn't have anything illegal in the car, he was just being a dumbass. Still knows his rights though. Cops get on power trips sometimes and think it's like the end of the world of someone doesn't want to allow them to search their car or talk to them. I love when people are "tough guys" and feel the need to prove something (probably their masculinity/ego) to someone (why that's a cop, idk). Congrats. Now your car's impounded and you're in jail. At least you still have your ego, right? Cause that's all that matters. Moron.
And to everyone saying the cop's on a power trip, he was well within his rights. He had every right to not only tow the car, but arrest the driver. He would've given the driver a break by either giving him a ticket for or a warning, and letting him get on with his day, but the driver pushed his luck too far. An expired tag is a valid reason to tow a car, and obstructing a police officer is a valid reason to arrest someone. Sorry. He didn't arrest the guy for "mouthing off" or because he was butt hurt. Grow up.

Just cause someone is in a situation for the police to pull them over doesn’t make it ok for police to use brutality against them.
