The Ministry of Labour (MoL), in collaboration with the Centre for Health Economics, University of the West Indies (HEU), is currently engaged in the conduct of a Knowledge, Attitudes, Practices and Beliefs (KAPB) survey on HIV in the Workplace within the Public and Private sectors as well as the informal economy.
The purpose of this survey is to gather critical baseline data to inform policies and programs to address HIV in the world of work and will be conducted during the months of April to July 2024.
The expected outcomes of the survey are:
1. To determine the level of knowledge and awareness of HIV in the workplace
2. To provide insight into the myths, misconceptions, attitudes and beliefs about HIV prevention
3. To identify behaviours and practices that may increase HIV risk
