Meg, thank you so much for coming into my home each day. I found you on UA-cam about a month ago and have been following you ever since. I'm a 65 year old with bone on bone arthritis in both knees and a right shoulder full of steel and can't lift my arm above my head. I'm in the process of losing weight to get knee replacements. It's been a very long, painful process. I've been diagnosed with severe depression and anxiety along with PTSD. I led a full active life before I shattered my shoulder and lost the rotator cuff. My job of 36 years in senior management in banking was taken from me as I was deemed disabled. That was 8 years ago. This past August, I was all set for my right knee replacement and I was sent to see the surgeon. When I went, I had lost the weight that was an acceptable BMI. It took a lot of work but I did it! I left the surgeons office crying. He told me the BMI Chart changed in January 2022. Devastated, I was told I needed to lose 35 more pounds. I've been in a deep depression ever since. Exercising is very painful and often times excruciating. I used to faithfully ride my recumbent bike every single day for 10 miles. Now, my knees are so bad I can't do it. I was so frustrated one evening, that I pulled up UA-cam and went on a search for "Senior Citizen chair fitness". AIM Fitness popped up, I was thrilled! I've been following you each day and love it. I'm so thankful I found your videos, you are a joy to learn from! I still have a ways to go for my knees but I have my sights set on the worst one (right) getting done this year. I'm really praying for that. Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤ Janet Dibler Spokane Washington
Hi Meg, I just turned 86 and find your exercises so helpful. I need to improve my balance, leg strength and strengthen my core. Your exercises along with walking really help. Thank you from Toronto & Algonquin Highlands.
Meg I’ve seen 3 or 4 of your videos!! I’m new to exercising… been doing it for 2 months and haven’t missed is day. Watch a lot of different people but really like the way you work. You have different ways of exercising. I’m 69 and have been doing the seated videos. I like that you imitate every day things… pouring drinks.. I’m watching from Eugene,Or.. Thank you!!
Hi Sharyle, thanks so much for your message! It's great to hear that you started to exercise recently and that you haven't missed a day! Keep up the great work!! Thanks for tuning in...hope to hear from you again! 🙏 🙏☺️☺️
Tried this video today. It’s the second one of yours that I have done. The other one was the seated one. I have to say that those reverse push ups were definitely a challenge for me! So I will be sticking with this one for a while until I get more confident. I’m watching from Louisiana, USA and am hoping for more seated exercises as I am handicapped. Thank you for these videos!
Thanks so much. I really enjoyed this and really felt my core. I have been working on my core because I used to have back ache.. The only suggestion I have is if possible to tell us before that we can use weights so we don't have to run and look for them in the middle. Looking forward to similar workouts
I enjoyed your video on falls. I recently had a bad fall in my yard and dislocated and fractured 3 bones in my ankle. I am not able to put any weight on my left foot for the next 8-12 weeks. I was looking for exercises to do in bed to improve my fitness. I think you videos are going to be perfect for me. Could I have a copy of the worksheet you spoke of in this video?
Morning exercise is such a refreshing way to start the day! It's fantastic that you're prioritizing your fitness. Keep up the great work, and thank you for watching and joining in!
I have to comment about your instructions as to when to breathe in and when to breathe out during exercise... You are SUPPOSED to breathe OUT during the exertion phase of an exercise so, for example, you need to breathe OUT when leaning backward during the reverse sit-up. I believe that you say the opposite. I notice this mistake throughout your routines. Thanks!
