      @@tomdurst2859 I got it done about a year ago and I am very happy with it now. I never realized how restrictive the tpi was above 3000 rpm but it feels like a rocket up to about 6000 rpm now. I can put my parts list here if you want it

      @@tomdurst2859 I just did a nice re manufactured quadrajet on a Weiand 8125 street warrior intake. I don't understand why people hate the quadrajet, they really do perform well and you can still get decent mileage if you try to tune them. And they sound great when you open up the secondaries

    Hi there, I am getting one (same year) with a Holley carb on top, recently swapped to carb. I notice for some reason the gauge is not working at all, would that be a common ECM issue when doing these conversions? Not sure if they took the ECM out or just unplugged it, what would be the correct procedure when it comes to disconnecting the computer w/regard to all the electric components of the vehicle? Thanks

      What gauge are you referring to

      @@clarkstonperformance The cluster gauge w/speedometer etc., I found out it's been sun damaged but it is connected to the ECM and do notice it tries to light up after cranking but then nothing.

    Any helpful information regarding fuel delivery would be greatly appreciated. Going from the 40 psi TPI all the way down to 6 psi is huge step, and most regulators are either for strictly EFI or Carburetors. What fuel pressure regulator are you guys using? Thanks.

      @91981march Рік тому

      You can get an in tank pump for an old 70's chevy monza thats almost identical size. Puts out right around 6.5 psi. Did it on my el camino almost a year ago with no issues and no regulator.

    Iv got a 93 corvette and I want to do a carb swap on my 383 lt1 I just wanted to know will I b able to use my stock hood and why are all the carb swapped vettes I see mud 80s models?

    • @IllegalC4
      @IllegalC4 Рік тому

      I feel like people don't carb swap the LT1 as its actually a decent setup and probably is a little more expensive and complicated than doing say a TPI, TBI, or crossfire.
