Loved the video man, I subbed. I’ll be doing the same type of videos for my camshaft and cylinder head swap (alongside refreshing and or upgrading numerous other components such as the water pump, oil pump, timing chain, etc.). I’ll be pulling my pistons and rods to gap the piston rings to push the stock rotating assembly past that 8psi/650 BHP limitation/“safety zone”. She’ll be documented NA, then we’ll see what she does with a blower.
I have a 2018 R/T Shaker 5.7 and I'm in the process of installing a hell cat blower on it. I've been in contact with Berni too and it has been great . I was a G M trained mechanic who owned my own shop and have built a bunch of high performance engines and custom fabrication but that was 40 yrs ago. Bernie has giving me great advice and just is a all around down to earth great dude . So any body thinking of going this route he is the guy
love the process bro keep it going can't wait to see how everything works out that 5.7 gone be a beast, I got a 5.7 challenger shaker waiting for the warranty to run out lol so i could start modding it
Sweet, I got a 2015 rt plus in b5 blue with 54k miles. This is a plan down the road when it's out of the warranty, and i can't wait to watch these videos.
Definitely understand that. Good thing about the 5.7 is it’s arguably the best option of the 3 to beat on with stock internals. For 600-800 to the wheel, stock internals should be able to hold it with no problems. Which is impressive when a stock 5.7 challenger/charger makes 320-40 to the wheel.
@@kurbykurb2345you can do both most high hp street cars are both, doing both will make a lot of power might break a transmission quick but still can do it just make sure it’s tuned right and you’ll be good
i subd just for the fact that you at least SEEM to bea normal person starting to learn about cars which is to me ALWAYS awesome and you don't pretend to bea expert in any way shape or form. love it. before this did you have any car experience? have you driven(drag raced) before this?
Nah I didn’t. I’m getting a duo fuel pump that allows me to go E85 if I want to but I have other plans for the drag racing (coming in future video) The goal is mid 7’s in the 1/8 mile and 610-620 hp to the wheel..with what I’m having done it should get me there.
part of me regrets not going this route. I saw a bankruptcy sale for the mmx adapter kit, hellcat supercharger, rods & pistons, etc etc. for only $3500! I should have bought it instantly but I wanted to sleep on it. The next day it was sold lol ...I went with a procharger that cost about $7000 more all in. But I still need rods & pistons. I've put too much into my car tbh
Aw yeah that was the deal of a lifetime! lol Hindsight is always 20/20 though, pro charger is the best option in my opinion, save for those rods and pistons and keep chuckin away at it💪
Shit.. old carb builds are expensive aswell.. if not more expensive than newer efi builds.. done em both. believe me I know lol. But I am contemplating a blower on my charger in the future.. if I don’t find a great deal on an entire 6.2 swap
From my research that should be just fine for a hellcat blower. Thats the same engine I have and mine has 140k miles on it. The key is how much boost you throw at it..it’s recommended not to throw more than 6-10 lbs of boost at it without forged internals..from my research
Hey man I definitely want to do this to my 5.7 Chrysler 300 but I don’t have any mechanical experience nor do I trust myself . But where are you located I could pay you and you can help me with the build !
Hell yeah man and I appreciate it but I am no way even close to be able to advise at all on this..I'm mostly a complete beginner. I suggest checking out CRASH N BERN's UA-cam channel. I learned all of this from him..He offers 1 on 1 consultations as well...WELL WORTH THE MONEY
love seeing more guys taking on the 5.7 hellcat challenge🔥 stoked to see how it goes
appreciate the support boss👊🏽 you’ve got a badass build man and have inspired many others

Can’t wait for part 2! Keep it up Sky!
Yessir! On the way brother
love the process bro keep it going can't wait to see how everything works out

Right on man! Yeah I had a newer one with a warranty...sold it and got this one to beat up on and build lol

Nice man! Thats what I got. Appreciate the support👊🏽

Awesome video. Love the honesty you bring 🔥🔥
Appreciate the support👊🏽
Beginner mechanic, proceed top have a whole tools box in the background lol.
Lol I bought most of that in the matter of like 3 days
Lmao I was going to say the same thing lol 😅
Can’t wait bro! Thing is going to be 🔥
Yessir Unc!
Good work bro might go this route on my Daytona
Thanks man, Part 3 coming tonight!
My 5.7 is cammed, I kind of wish I would’ve went supercharger but was kind of nervous about the internals.

Got a 2.9 Whipple for my 5.7 a couple weeks ago can’t wait

Nice project bro it’s going to be fire 👌🏻
You should do the MSD delete now that u removed the intake manifold
Yessir getting that done as we speak..along with a few other things 👀

I appreciate the honesty and support man👊🏽 and I grew up going to the track but only been drag racing for about a year
i supercharged mine like 6 months ago it’s been lit , def worth it
How many miles you have? Did you upgrade any internals?
Hell yeah boss.. great decision! Mine is currently on the shop now getting a lot of other stuff done as well. This will be an expensive hobby lol

2 days ago? Definitely gonna be keeping up with this build
Could you also link the stuff you needed for the build in the description
👊🏽
Im following this lol i been trying to figure out what i should to do my 5.7 charger lol. 2nd gen its fun already lol
For sure bro, one thing to know before starting this mod journey is that’s it’s EXPENSIVE..lol
Can u drop links on where u purchased everything
did you need a accessories spacer kit?
Nope
@ how did it fit? I swear every thing I see says you need it from mmx

I was wondering if this could be done 😮😮
I have a 5.7 grand Cherokee and want to supercharge mine but I have 108k miles and not sure if the internals can handle. Or should I rebuild first?
From my research that should be just fine for a hellcat blower. Thats the same engine I have and mine has 140k miles on it.
