It looks really good. Make sure to caulk around the sink, so water won't get under the contact paper. You can cut and remove the caulk when you move out.
The poster boards are a great idea!! Our new rental has tile counters in the bathroom and I was trying to figure out how to cover them up without it looking lumpy and bumpy. Thank you for sharing!!
You did super awesome cutting around the toilet! I tried a similar DIY with contact paper on the floor, but I definitely think this tile is much better. TFS!
If you don't rent, you can loosen the toilet to slide it up to wax ring. If you can't loosen it, a hot knife is amazing on this product to make curves. If you need a hammer, not going to lie, I used a rubber mallet from dollar tree. This updo looks incredible!!
Sis, let me tell you how you are a life saver right now, because I just ordered these from Walmart, and sis I never, never did tiles myself and girl, when I seen your amazing job I was like what? Mines come Feb 18th. I have 3 boys 25, 20 1/2 and 18 and yes one of them or all misses the toilet from time to time is it hard to clean? I heard you when you said put them next to each other so thanks for that tip.
I have that same flooring from Home Depot in my bedroom. I LOVE it!!!! Where did you get that shower curtain? It looks exactly like the new shower tiles that I will be installing in my shower soon. I am doing major renovations to my place. Hopefully, I can get some videos uploaded soon.
You’re making me so excited to move into my new, old ugly apartment! If I’d gotten a renovated place, I would have to play twice as much. But this makes things so much more worthwhile! PS - how many boxes did you have to buy!
@Nohna Buznes 👏 this is awesome, my husband and I are going from a studio to a 2 bedroom house on 3/4 of an acre , we were totally ready for more space - but the new house is a downgrade in many ways, luckily our landlord doesn't really care what we do to it - that being said we don't want to spend thousands of dollars fixing up someone else's home - so we set a budget of $800 and are doing little things to make it cute - if the house we were renting was all redone - it's cost 500$ more per month easily!! I feel the stuff we are doing may not have the best longevity but hopefully it'll last until we are ready to buy
Beautiful work, however, the wrong materials. You should be looking at an appropriate floor underlayment for a floating floor vs using poster board. Poster board will absorb water and become a mold nightmare. Mold feeds on paper. This is why you don't tile over wallboard (paper) in a wet area and instead use a cement backerboard. Another option in this small space would be to use vinyl sheets that have plank wood look (typically come in 12' width at home improvement shops) and transfer your posterboard template onto the back of the vinyl, cut it out and lay loose over the tile. Be well!
@@chapter45reset93 google 'underfloor layment' and you should get product suggestions. You can also visit a flooring or home improvement store to ask questions about your specific subfloor and product desired. Hope that gets you started!
I have a cheaply done wood floor in my apartment and want to cover it up. I'm concerned that the peel and stick tiles will pull it up later any advice or recommendations to protect it and eventually get my deposit back
❤Great job. This takes a lot of patience. I purchased 3 boxes from Lowes about a year ago and haven't done anything as of yet. Not sure if I want to do a wall or a floor.
why are you using poster board as a base? I thought that the placement of the tile would be sufficient to cover the floor. I can see the poster board being used as a template, then removed so that the tile can be applied....
It looks really good. Make sure to caulk around the sink, so water won't get under the contact paper. You can cut and remove the caulk when you move out.
Also around the bottom of the toilet
Agree on both comments about caulking around the sink and toilet. Caulk is removable
Really great idea using the poster board, much better than just sticking it to the floor. that way you can just pick it up when you move.
will get wet and mouldy, i don't believe the isolation from the peel and sticks is 100%

You have a lot of talent, you did a great job
Girl u really saved me cause I was struggling with the floor tile in my new home. But u gave me the prefect idea.
Your so talented! You get it from your Daddy!!! Lol
lol lordddd ... thanks daddy!!
You did super awesome cutting around the toilet! I tried a similar DIY with contact paper on the floor, but I definitely think this tile is much better. TFS!
You deserve a award!!! I never thought of doing these upgrades!!!
Girl that's AWESOME. TOTALLY BEAUTIFUL! I LOOOOOVE THIS!!!! YOU DID GREAT!!!! 👍
Your landlord would probably be very happy with that flooring!
You can also use a rolling pin to roll over the floor to get a better stick.
Great job Ma!

Thank you!!! I removed it when I moved out so I can get my deposit back 😂
Looks great! I did my entire apartment and bedrooms with this brand. I love it. It really makes your home look brand new. Thanks for sharing
How did they hold uo
@@Beautybysabrina 1 year later and they are still hold up. No lifting.
@@CR24k thank you! Did you use her method of applying them? I am going to do this to my rental
@@Beautybysabrina no I didn’t just put them right down on the tile.
You did a great job. The color of the flooring is so pretty. Looks wonderful!
I needed this! Thanks 👑🥰

BEAUTIFUL JOB
What was that white stuff you put down first and it turn out beautiful
YOU DO GREAT WORK .
Great job! 👍🥇
Thank you girlie 💁🏽♀️ I’m definitely trying this in my kitchen bc I hate the flooring color in my rental condo
I've never seen anyone lay poster board down first... That was kinda smart! Did it ever slide?
I also want to know this. What a brilliant idea!
I’m assuming it didn’t because she used the mounting tape to prevent that 😊
May I suggest you reveal the total cost of each project in your videos? I need to know when I’m spending too much.
I’m impressed
I love it
Well done
This look amazing
I love this I think I might brush on a layer of polyurethane waterproof coating over the top.. thank you great video
How did this workout for you?
@@ManiJ. not moved there yet😀😀
You should get a rubber mallet. They allow you to hit more powerfully and not damage the surface
Great job love the video how many titles did you need to complete that project?

Absolutely love that.
Love this video

Thanks bestie!!
I wonder if there is a waterproof tarp like base I could use.. poster boards scare me for bathroom.. you’re amazing. Ty
yes, they make plastic underlayment specifically for putting under flooring like laminate plank.
Thank you for this idea!!

How do u mil and clean your floors tho ? Also how about insects ? How do u prevent build up crime under neath? Just wondering
Great job! It looks very realistic in the end. How long does it take in real time to set it up?
That amazing 👏
You deserve the masses to listen to you! You're so amazing!!!
Very nice!
Nice work
I saw online alot of people complain about it not sticking very good. Have you had any issues?
How many boxes did you used I loved what you did.
had to subscribe to keep up with your journey
Beautiful
But what if it comes water there?
How do you measure the small pieces please share tricks
You can also use grout

Hi great video I will be visiting Home Depot ASAP!! Where is your beautiful shower curtain from?!?! Thank you

How did you get the corners
Cabinets and walls next
How is it lasting so far? It’s been a while

What size Poster Boards did you use?
why are you using poster board as a base? I thought that the placement of the tile would be sufficient to cover the floor. I can see the poster board being used as a template, then removed so that the tile can be applied....
Can we use this same technique for walls 🥺
🤔🤔🤔 I’m not sure but I’m now interested in trying this lol
@@theniaayanna im sure you gon kill it like this too cause this is so smart and pretty
@@AlfreItua I’ve seen someone use the same method on walls.
Next time use a contrasting poster board. Tryin to watch a white poster board on a white bathroom makes it hard to see...
Them nails dope
Does anyone know if her bathroom is ventilated?
curious - what's the purpose of laying poster board first? Why not put the stick & peel tile over the old tile?
LOOKS GOOD!
It's for a temporary rental ..so there wont be a ton of adhesive stuck to landlords original tile
