@@Herr.Mitternacht yeah but I thought he'd sell them after he reviewed them
@@hoppel9177 Some probably but the cool ones for sure not 😎
@@hoppel9177 what if you want to do comparative testing? It's good to have an inventory of cases you have reviewed before. Good thing the focus of this channel is SFF cases 😅

I want to take a moment to appreciate NCase M1 as the pioneer of the SFF world
Laughs in Ghost S1
I feel like Lian Li were the first ones to do the tiny rectangular monolith that everybody makes these days. The PC-Q25B back in 2011 was sort of the precursor to the M1. It's so similar that I wonder if the NCase/Lian Li partnership actually started earlier than we know.
@@phychmasher Silverstone doesn't get enough credit man...

Nope, it was Shuttle with their XPC bare bones systems in late 90/early 2000.
That system was the inspiration to the creation of the ITX mobo.
This channel is basically the sole reason I went SFF for my system, extremely happy with my FormD T1 V2. Seeing the return of the Ncase is refreshing given it was some of the first content of yours I watched.
I just built in that case also and was experiencing some case envy watching this at first until I saw them side by side. This case a little too big for my needs/liking.
My only real issue with my build is the panels bow out slightly on both sides. On one side it’s due to my fan duct and on the other it’s due to my graphics card. I could fix it with some work but I’m pretty sure if the side panels had some additional tabs at the front it wouldn’t be an issue.
Dude I just exchanged my 4090 STRIX cause it wouldn't fit in any SFF cases, and now this drops !
Had you not exchanged it this case would’ve never dropped that’s just how it goes 😅

Well, don't worry, in a few months new 5000 series will drop and you will get something more powerful and hopefully more efficient and smaller for a lower price (but probably not as low price as they should be).
@@ACE112ACE112 lol don't worry I traded it for an FE to some guy
Blessing in disguise
Gorgeous case, intelligent layout. Will be a hit.
That being said, I can't help but think about the SFF landscape in 2024. It's completely different now than it was when the M1 was dominant. Back then, the only good cases were the boutique ones that you paid 250 dollars and waited 6-8 months for. Now, there's a sea of "good enough" SFF cases that you can buy and get delivered in 2 days. I did the "buy and wait" thing for my FormD T1, and honestly I don't have the time and patience to do it again
Fractal design Terra comes to mind. Not quite as good as this, but design is better imo and you can’t beat how fast you can get it.
It feels kinds of that ncase m2 are too late for current trends there are tons of great alternatives are available out here
@@RiceCubeTech Yeap, despite the fact that is have some serious flaws to me personally it's really promising option
It won’t. W360 ruined the ncase brand in enthusiasts’ eyes. Ncase m1 evo was basically advertised with false claims and people didn’t forget it.
well i did for mine and the formd is worth it. Ive seen others but not as good
I'm the happy owner of an M1 for 10 years - still using it for my gaming PC. Was not going to change (even if I would like to upgrade the GPU). Now I finally can !!!!!
Eagerly awaiting the triple radiator build you're inevitably going to do!

I respect the challenge in fitting as much performance as possible into as little space as possible.
I don’t do that myself, but I enjoy watching your journey.
Same, although for me its not about the challenge that keeps me from doing so. Its the money. 😐
Which case size you would recommend?
Can't wait for the full review/building guides. Thanks to you I bought my M1 in the first place and I'm still very happy with it.
Ahhh. Ncase. The case with which I discovered you Optimum, and ended up building the same water-cooling setup, and it's still running like a charm ❤
A fellow dual rad Ncase brother? You using the external res/pump or the AliExpress pump/res/waterblock?
My rig uses the AliExpress block.
Did the exact same thing. Wonder how many slim XSPC Rads were sold, only because of his videos
Studio looks clean af. W for warm lighting
i mean its basically an empty warehouse thats why its so “clean”
? The lighting was anything but warm in this video
@@Dubulclethe lighting needs to be colder for color accuracy in the video, but in the rest of the space there is warm lighting.
@@rayafk8502 Oh, no. I'm not upset that the majority of the lighting is cold. I'm just saying that the majority was cold.
@@Dubulcle in the video, yes, but that is just a small portion of the studio, which is what the comment was talking about.
Can’t wait to see the best config for temps. Love my Ncase M1 v6!
Thank you for the video! The M2 is beautiful and it's great to see the price coming down compared to the days of the M1.
Love how versatile the case can get with all the possible configurations. Looking forward to your other build videos with the M2. Cheers!
Still rocking my Ncase M1, still in love.
If you used a 4080 FE or 4090 FE water cooled so it is only 206mm & moved the sandwich board up, you could add dual rads top & bottom with the CPU & GPU water cooled, but you will need to cut/tap some new threads.
Finally! This looks perfect my use. It would also be helpful if you reviewed the mcprue cases.
Man, its good to be back with Ncase. Your videos on Ncase back in the day is what got me into ITX. Cheers Ali
As someone who loves making custom panels for my PCs, what I already love about this case (haven't finished the video) is how easy it looks to repaint without having to de-rivet certain portions.
I was waiting for this after 'Machines and More' channel reviewed this case
Amazing case, especially for the price. Fitting mATX is a game changer too, you can have more of everything and still pay less lol.
The quality and the Lighting conditions and the smooth editing gives goosebumps ,high tier content
I can't wait to see your full build in this case. I just ordered the black colorway. I've owned the M1 v6, and I was an early adopter of the M1EVO and while I really liked it at the time (I still do honestly), and it did feel like a natural evolution of the OG case, it really wasn't at the level that I expected if that makes sense. I will finally upgrade to current gen ryzen x3d and build it in this case. I'm excited.
Bro you are definition quality over quantity when it comes to dropping videos 🫡
9:47 absolute deal breaker for me, they definitely need to get that fixed on the first run
well it's not like you'll be able to find one in stock anyway
Most boards have it near the 24 pin port, but it's super unfortunate for this MSI board.
Just make it longer yourself. It's two cables
It’s in stock right now
Would love to know the ETA for Round 2.
definitely going to do a build with the M2. looks so sleek and beautiful.
always great to see a new video in the morning, optimum keep it up man.
Hopefully you already know this, but NCASE now has this video embedded in their website as promotion for the new case. I really hope they asked for your permission first!
Would be very cool to see a build in this with a matx mobo and atx psu. For those who want to downsize without rebuying everything 😅. Maybe even compare it side by side with the Meshroom D that allows matx board and atx psus with an extender bracket.
100% thinking about this lol. And I also have a beefy 4080. Might have to get different connector cables though.
Would love the same video!
At the same time, it's kinda sad that GPUs have gotten so big that a case that can fit almost all of them is defacto big enough for mATX now. I mean, that's cool, don't get me wrong. Just feels weird 😅
(Now, at 16L, where should I save it? In my list of ITX or mATX cases?)
I have the previous version mentioned in the video (M1EVO v1.1), so things might be different on the M2, but it's not as flexible as it might seem - some configurations of components only fit in one way (for example, it would be very difficult to do mATX MB with 4090 vertical, as you are then limited to water cooled CPU with small limit on CPU block).
But it definitely is versatile, and I hope the extra width in the case opens up more options. I currently have my M1 EVO configured in "classic M1" style, using a mATX board, SFX PSU, 7800x3d, air cooled, 4090 air cooled and I'm very happy with it, it really is the NCASE M1 successor.
@@mickaelsflow6774 16L is still very small. Especially compared to the Hyte y40 my pc is in rn. 50L down to 16L is a massive difference. I would say anything 20L or more is considered matx
@@faydark8805 I have a pretty long Rx 6900xt with an atx psu, so fitment might be a tad sketchy 😂
I'm pumped! I'm hoping to get my hands on it soon to do build review.
This man has become one of my favorite tech content creators because of how clean his videos are. Keep up the good work.
Fun fact: new ncase M2 has nothing to do with ncase m1 v6.1 that Ali loves so much.
That’s a huge shame Ali keeps advertising cases from W360
It's pretty crazy that i've been here since the original ncase videos.
Next step: Go outside.
@@HalfDayHero I'm simply reflecting on how I'm an OG subscriber, not sure what that has to do with going outside.
Perfect timing on this, as I've been rocking the M1 for like 8 years, but will need something bigger for the 5080 when that comes. Nothing out there has hit the spot for me, but this looks like it will for my planned air build. Can't wait to see your build guide, and I'll wait for the second release.
Yoo, NCASE is back. I built my M1 based on your videos, and fell in love with SFFPC design. I can't wait to see your M2 videos.
Incredible video production!
day by day you prove to us you are a genius, your videos are just from an other universe, I really love your content, I loved the tech hardware industery, and I dedicated a lot of time for it, I enjoy every video talking about hardware, and I wish one day I could be as good as you, Keep shining
Love the video and it convinced me to finally pull the trigger in prep for a new build at the end of this year. 😁
I have an M1 v5. I’m looking at doing my next build as a full size ATX as I’ve stopped moving around as much and can do that (and it’s a bit cheaper lol). But this channel has really given me a love for SFF.
Probably will keep my M1 case and just using it as a TV PC.
This new M2 looks great! Love the more squared design, just wish it had more color options. I’m looking at Fractals wood and metal cases rn.
I've been running AM4 in an InWin 905 for a number of years now and absolutely love the finish on it. I've been waiting for a SFF to come out with a similar finish to wow me, I think that M2 Grater model just did. Thanks Ali!
Can't wait to see the builds you do in this! I have an M1 because of your vids and when I upgrade my gpu from a 1080, I'll definitely be going to the M2. Maybe my first water cooled build as well!
bruh you are making me fall in love with ITX builds!!
He gives me that Sage Athletic Monk vibe with those brown hoodie robes.
I was getting more and more interested in the Dan C4-SFX, but found it expensive and sadly, discontinued.
Well, well, well, look what the cat dragged in? 😻
This is beautiful. Great video. And timely.
Thanks for the vid Optimum, you crazy guy
This is the cleanest video i have seen in youtube. I subbed.
This seems to be the future proof case, when I'm gonna switch back to building itx PC's again. I've got 2 ridges, 1 with an itx board and the other with a mini dtx. For what I can see, I could switch my current dtx build to this case. You've got me interested again in coming back for building in these small cases. And I'm also looking forward to hear more of your Collab with wooting for the 60he(+) case 🎉
That's absolutely beautiful! 💚
Love when Optimum drops a new video!
Incredible case!
Looking forward to the build
Hooooly craaaap! Been waiting years and years for this!!!
I’m the type that slowly saves money and pieces my build together over a year or 2. This looks like the perfect addition for whenever the 50 series cards drop (hopefully this fall)
OMG this looks amazing!!!
I'm still running my original DAN A4 v1 case from the first production run. I love that it sparked a whole market segment of beautifully compact and efficient cases.
Cool. I look forward to more built. When it is time for me to change the case I am consideing it.
the dedication is insane bro
This is beautiful!
The is lovely. I'm currently researching cases to built a tiny mini itx PC
Ncase M1 was what got me into SFF so will always love that case, these days I am running a NR200 but I am excited for the Ncase FF1 the most (if/when it eventually releases).
What a throwback to some of the early content you made (I still am very envious about that M1 Build with the custom matte water pipes).
Do you by any chance know when the silver M2 will drop? Thanks again for making these vids
I would absolutely love to watercool in this case. Would enjoy seeing your take on that.
Just finished building in the M1 evo - 4090FE, 7950x3d, AIO. It chews through any thing and runs any game on EPIC settings. Paired with the new Asus 32" OLED and its the most insane rig ive used with a tiny footprint.
this looks awesome. im in no rush so i don't mind waiting for it to be in stock but im also waiting for the era 2 from fractal. that case also looks pretty cool from what i have seen so far.
The quality of your videos is insane.
all these beautiful cases and her I am still using my Ghost s1 hehe, love the video they are always top notch!
Sat here waiting for the walkthrough 🤤
ive been waiting for this review for months
Looks like I found my next case... Now I just need to decide if I want to go for aircooling for easier transport through airport security or custom loop for better performance and more fun build... I definitely cannot wait to see what awesome custom loop you will build in this...
When I think back to when i first discovered itx and found the nr200p the option to use the cheaper matx board, cheaper full size psu while also being relatively cheaper compared to the current market will make it a pretty compelling choice for new pc builders or those looking to downsize.
The cpu height is the only thing theyll have to concern themselves with.
If new builders can get over the need to put an aio on underpowered parts with a glass side panel then this is a great case for sure.
4:01 gives me hope, bc 99% of the time i see u playing video games u wipe the floor compared to me but in ths clip we look very similar
Ive got my 4070 and 5800x3d. Undervolted and frame capped to 120. Total system power is around 200-250 watts while gaming 35-50c. Its in the lian-li dan case.
Gotta love the watercooling tube pass through. I'd love to do a mora build with this
Great video! This case looks very interesting. I think the "holy grail of PC cases" is over the top, though. The main advantage of this case, compared to, for example, the FormD T1 or the NR200 (I have built PCs using both of those cases), is the fact it can take a micro ATX motherboard, whereas the other two I mentioned can only house mini ITX motherboards. The video made a big point of the fact that this case is able to house the largest GPU on the market (Asus ROG STRIX 4090?), whereas the T1 and NR200 can't. That is a good point, but I think that is missing the main point to some extent. Good video though, as always. This is by far one of the best channels on UA-cam.
ive literally been looking for an sff case for my gigabyte 4090 oc, youre the goat
I was so bummed when NCASE discontinued the M1. I'm so happy to hear they are making the M2!
I would really like a deep dive in how you would optimize your setup. So if you have a watercooler start with placing that and then depending on X place your motherboard in X spot away from the radiator. This way the case can actually be used in the most optimized way instead of having just a few rough but good layouts.
Like if you want to optimize then you should follow a few set rules. Or maybe steps.
One thing is for sure, having so much optimisation is only awesome if we know how we can take advantage of it. It's not just being able to fit everything. It's also fan clearance and gpu clearance. etc.
Your channel and review of the M1 got me into sff pcs. I still to this day have my M1 (now retired) and don’t plan to sell it ever.
Really looking forward to your build video(s) for the M2, particularly the ones without a riser cable (I just prefer the direct connection to the MB). Given its versatility, can this case house an m-ATX board? Great to see another good case from this manufacturer. 👍
Looks neat, bold to releqsse it right before the 50 series launch.
another optimussy banger cant wait for build tut
Looking forward to that step by step. I’m planning to do a new builed when the 5090/9800x3d are both out.
dude, you don't even have to have this high production, you can literally upload anything and I'll watch, clean ass n
This looks so sweet
This is the case I’ve been looking for! Hopefully you do a micro atx board build in it
I was concerned with the QC issues that came about with previous versions of the NCASE M1 EVO. I ended up pre-ordering the Loque Ghost R1. From the spec sheet, that thing can even fit my NH-D15. Excited for that in October.
one of the things i really like about my M1 classic is that the side and top panels use the same design venting (the holes) - However on the M1 Evo and the new M2 i find the different mesh on the top and sides to be quite disruptive to the overall design. the Grater introduces a third "mesh" vent design which is even more jarring to look at
Awesome review brother! This will be my next case for sure. Will the IceMan pump/reservoir combo still work with this M2? I noticed it still had the 2 holes at the back. Thanks
Thank you for the awesome review. Are you planning to review the Louqe Ghost R1? Debating between these 2 cases
Another BASED Optimum banger of a video, let's go!
I'm an Ncase M1 6.1 owner myself. Still using the Crosshair VIII Impact wich its DTS form factor won't fit on any sandwitch layout. Finally a new case to look forward to without needing to replace my motherboard.
I have a v6 M1 and I was lucky enough to snag a C4-SFX when it was available. Good to know that it performs similarly to the M2 because I think the C4-SFX looks better.
That's a nice case. I just got finished with a build I went with the NR200 V2 and it wad able to fit my RTX 4090 Rog Strix thankfully 😊. But this is definitely a good case to consider on my next build 👌. Very classy
Looks awesome! I actually got the M1 because of your videos. I have been running it as my daily driver for years. Still using an i7 8700k and a RTX 3080 (deshroud).
When I built my new pc half a year ago or so, this case sadly wasn't available yet. There were already renders and so on, and I knew this would be the perfect case.
Got the A4-H2O instead, since I wanted to build it now back then.
That is a fantastic case.🔥🔥🔥
love the new front IO, 2 type-C and 2 type-A, that's the perfect amount for me
Daaamn and I JUST bought a FormD T1 v2.1 last week and it should arrive today or tomorrow
This has two usb-c on the front. It looks amazing, a bit bigger, and still amazing quality.
Well I got the black formd so this is a perfect reason to eventually get a silver case
Don't be sad. The T1 is an incredible product. You're lucky to have it.
I look forward to a bad ass watercooling build in this case :D
