In real firefight it makes no sense of course especially someone can shoot you in the head or limbs and vest does not matter then.

@@chrisblack6258 level 4 can stop that round, its just not designed to, and shouldn't be trusted to. It can stop one usually, but it'll probably cause internal injuries that cause death anyway too.

However, It will be overly dented by the round, and the depth of the dent exceeds the limit of the NIJ requirement, thus still do significant damage to a person. So what I meant was that the NIJ 4 plates can not stop the round from doing notable harm to a person.

Theres alot of these vest that are sold with the intent to put your own plates in them. When it says"holds 3a" it means you can put 3a in them, not that they come with them. Probably confusing to alot of new gun owners. but for us gun vets , we've been aware of them forever. You can also use them for airsoft.

Ppl who got "messed over" buying vests like you mentioned, either can't or didn't read properly.
These ones here are falsely advertised, big difference.
While a BP helmet for $25 should set off alarms in your head, it is nonetheless advertised as such.
That body armor was actually pretty impressive i was surprised it stopped a bullet
