Had to stop half way through to comment. This is the best video I’ve seen you put out. I really enjoyed the commentary and approach for this one. So good Simon!! Please make more like this. Really like the challenge videos and other rounds played, but this was just great for me.
I was about to say this and then I read your comment. Simon could be a big part of disc golf education for everyone. He communicates ideas so well, and English isn't even his first language.
Jesus: (pauses in the middle of his bite of Galilee fish 2000 years ago) “Simon Peter...” Peter: “Yes, Lord?” Jesus: “Are these fish vegan?” Peter: (confused silence)
By far my favorite style of video. Love all content disc gold related. But this was so good. Hearing what you think is needed information. Thanks guys!
This is by far one of the best course commentaries! Not just talking about what your suppose to do but adding how you think about it personally and a lot more in debth!
@@PeaceManBro there are 4( now 5) layouts at Maple. Red, White, Blue, Gold, and Diamond. You can even do the old glory layout where you start on reds, then go to white, and then to blue. You rinse/repeat that pattern until you're done. You don't have to play the absolute hardest tees every time.
I live in Mass, and have been playing for 3 years (seriously for about one year), and somehow have never made the trip out to Maple. That changes this Saturday and I cannot wait
This is exactly the kind of disc golf content that I want to see! Hearing all of your thoughts on disc selection, best misses and everything else was really great. You've gotten so good at talking to cameras, Simon!
As good as it gets! Loved that content, appreciate you giving us a glimpse into your thoughts! This is really gold, all these hints and strategic ideas how you move on the course. Love your positive attitude, looking forward to watch you play on tour again! One more rooting for you behind the camera!
Simon, thank you so much for letting us into your thoughts during a round at your home course. You are my favorite online disc golf personality, and being given the opportunity to learn from you is a privilege. Thank you again! Be safe, be well, and be lucky this season.
Simon we love that you play for the fans, why do you think you have the most popular youtube channel even when you got into the vlog game late. You have the most charisma on the entire professional circuit! Whenever I see you on a disc golf card I simply have to watch it.
I like this format! We get to hear your thoughts on strategy, without the pressure of a tourney enviro. Very educational AND entertaining. Good stuff Mr Lizotte.
I love this. 18 holes. Tournament scenario. For me it's just fun to watch the top pros play 18 holes like I do. Keep score. No practice throws. Love it. We gotta get Eagle and Paul and everyone to do that! Fun to watch, great video 👍
This is honestly exactly what I wanted. Love getting inside your head while you play a round. I didn't understand all of what you said, but I think I have a pretty good idea of most of it. Wish we could get this sort of content during tournament play.
The best part was knowing what was going to happen on hole 8 from that guy that posted it on reddit earlier this week. That must have been awesome to see in person!
Simon Lizotte the pain in your elbow is tendonitis!!! Stop doing what you're doing! I kept throwing through the pain constantly taking weeks off to rest it and hope it went away. It did not!!! I had an achey and worthless elbow for two years! I have no affiliation with KT Tape whatsoever but after trying everything to continue throwing frisbees, it is hands down the best product and only effective treatment for your elbow. It has to be applied very specifically and I'd strongly suggest leaving it on for days at a time, shower and sleep in it as long as you can. I've probably been doing this for six-eight months and something that only seemed to get worse for over a year is almost gone and I'm not only able to play everyday again, I can even play multiple rounds in a day again. I hope you get this message because you sound exactly like I did before it all fell apart. Once that extensor tendon starts to tear away from the bone on your elbow, not only will you not be throwing any discs at all I promise you won't be able to barely pick up your cell phone or even a move cold IPA We all want to see you throwing with a good elbow for years to come, you're so entertaining and we don't want to see you leave the sport. I hope everyone will thumb up and repost this so Simon sees it!!!
I'm excited you're coming to the GHDGO at Wickham Park in CT in August. It's my home course. It's beautiful and you'll love it. But you're not yet registered for Maple Hill the following week. Are you not playing the MVP Open?
It's fun to listen to your thoughts... it's also discouraging though. I'm like, "yeah, that line would be great... for someone else, that can throw that far..."
I enjoy taking as many water breaks as possible, not only to stay hydrated, but it also gives me an extra chance to reset and visualize and gain extra confidence in my next shot in my head as well.
Simon I was wondering if you could make a tutorial about improving putting and especially getting more distance in putts. Youre the best player to ask this from in my opinion, you are great at explaining the details of your shots. Keep up the great content!
The lighting circumstances in those woods were visibly challenging (exposure wise) but I believe you guys made the best of it! It wasn't all that bad as I was distracted by Simon's putting!
Richmond Hill in Asheville, NC will definitely have you sore after 18 holes. Its all up, down, and over a gorge and there are loads of trees to hit and brush to lose discs in. Such a fun and extremely challenging course to play though. Would be really cool to see a video there!
Easily the best advice I've heard from you and I couldn't agree more. Avoid negative language and use positive language. Focus on what to do rather than what NOT to do. That'll take you places in all swings of life.
Nice shot on hole 3 Simon. Long on a hole when you have to hit a 25 to 30 ft gap over 100 ft away ( that is probably the wrong distances ). My jaw hit the table.
After this video I would love to see you make the trip up to Maine and do a video at Pineland Farms "The Patriot." If you haven't played it yet, you're in for a real treat. It is an absolutely stunning course.
"But today I'm just going for a midrange straight at it cause... that's my life right now". Simon Lizotte Seriously Simon, you are truly spoiling us being Mic'd up at Maple Hill. How do we go back to a normal life after this?
Simon would you like to do a video on how to properly throw when on a hill / angles please!? Maybe even add some wind tips or do that on a separate one =P Thank you for the video
Thanks for taking the time to let us film this fun collaboration. We'll see you on tour!
Thank you guys for doing such a great job of filming! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Great job guys!
Great work, guys!
So you told him about Sedgely and how he could do multiple vlog rounds there, right?
15k views 6 hrs in, you guys nailed it with this one. Simon's mindset is unique, wish more disc golfers took note.
Had to stop half way through to comment. This is the best video I’ve seen you put out. I really enjoyed the commentary and approach for this one. So good Simon!! Please make more like this. Really like the challenge videos and other rounds played, but this was just great for me.

The filming, sound and commentary was so good I felt like I just walked a round of golf with Simon!! Great work
Simon: "you can't do worse than bogey"
Me: "hold my beer"
I thought the exact same thing! lol
Yup. Bogey for me is good😂
Simon: "Americans always come up with an excuse for their bad throw". Simon on hole five: “that wind gust got me”.
He’s becoming one of us
"Eagle McMahon takes 5s and 6s on this hole"
Way to call out your buddy, Simon
That's so mean. Eagle might be sensitive. 😁
@@aaronmayhew2.0 nah, he's been vegan to long to care haha

Peaceful vegans. I bet Jesus was a vegan too. 😁

Eagle started it. Go watch his vlog.
This is twice as cool as a normal Vlog + 2 cameras = 4X as cool. Awesome video!
“Good rounds start with a bogey...ok, 2 bogeys”...this is why I love Simon. Great video and insight into your shot selection and thought process.
Burying Eagle about doubles and triples on hole 7 out of the blue for no reason . Love it lol 😅
“Good rounds start with two bogeys”
-Simon Lizotte
This is what I need to keep in mind with tournament play starting up soon😂
What an awesome collaboration! Also the commentary on the thought process was great and very valuable to players looking to improve their game.
Best youtube video of all time. More of this please!
Loved this, hearing you’re thought process and approach to your throws was AWESOME! I learned a lot. *reverse mentality* 🔥
By far my favorite style of video. Love all content disc gold related. But this was so good. Hearing what you think is needed information. Thanks guys!
Love all of Simon videos, but this maybe my favorite love hearing the insight.
Great commentary appreciate the insight of disc choice and how to approach shots. Keep up the good work. Hope to see more in the future! 👍
I really Appreciate you telling us what’s going through your head and what your going to throw and why. Really enjoyed this Simon
This is by far one of the best course commentaries! Not just talking about what your suppose to do but adding how you think about it personally and a lot more in debth!
God I want to play there some day...
I know a guy that threw a destroyer off hole 1 straight into the water in front of Paul Mcbeth lol
It looks really tough, im in MA, havent seen another course this nice, or this hard, not sure If I could clear the water on hole 1.

I’m only on hole 4 and already this is the best description of the discs and environment that I’ve ever heard. Fantastic video.
Definitely my favorite video you have done. I really enjoyed being able to watch and get your commentary without you having to worry about filming.
“the hole after hole 12” -Simon (counting extraordinaire)
This was amazing....I now expect this amount of dedication to any future round you film :)
This is definitely my favorite video of disc golf yet. Thank you Simon for this and Gatekeeper media!
I love all of your videos, but these breakdowns of what you're thinking are phenomenal! Great help for someone getting back into the sport.
This is a really good format Simon!! More of this would be awesome!!
What a great quality video! 😍
@15:55 when the disc rotates perfectly to face the camera. Perfection.
I could listen to simon talk about disc golf all day long 😂
Very good idea, getting the Pro-s perspective on every shot and stuff. Gut gemacht Simon!!! :)
I'm pretty sure that Simon is actually the Bob Ross of disc golf. Love ya Simon, you've taught me so much!
The best part was knowing what was going to happen on hole 8 from that guy that posted it on reddit earlier this week. That must have been awesome to see in person!
Played here once, and it was magical! Can’t imagine it ever getting old, even if you played it daily.
More of these! super awesome to hear the thinking.
Nice video, Simon. I liked how you stepped the viewers through your thought process on the shots and gave some insight. Keep it up!
Loved this video. Great quality and sound. Delving into the mind of one of the greats is very entertaining
Really enjoyed the mic! Really feels like following you side by side instead of getting it all summed up after each hole
This was awesome content. Would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see more videos like this! 👏👏👏
Absolutely loved this video.. thanks.
Hearing your thoughts on the shots is really helpful.
Y’all standing there boss af in the thumbnail. Those chains must have been shakin’ in their baskets at the very sight of you!
Just wait till their album drops!
Kyle Knoblauch yeah I heard it’s coming out soon! :D I’m planning on buying the compact disc and using it for putting.
That was awesome Simon. You should talk more in rounds, we all want to hear what is in your head as you are lining up shots.
love this. that reverse mentality tip is gold.
Thanks for keeping the awesome vids up, Simon. You inspire me to keep playing disc golf. Keep it up!👍
I've been to MH 4 times, twice in late October, it's my favorite course out of 375+ played! BTW, the sound quality is excellent in this.

Simon, you are doing so well on camera. You look completely comfortable talking to the camera.
