I want everyone to know that Simon is just as amazing in person as he is in his videos. He won the Lost Valley Open today and did not neglect anyone asking for a signature. He even gave one of his discs to my buddy. He will forever be a legend in my book and Casey is following in his footsteps. Simon if you’re reading this - you are the man and we can’t thank you enough. Hope to play in a tourney with you one day.
Woah.. Quakertown shout out. Not often you hear your home town called out. To bad Nockamixon is closed... would have loved to see Simon play that course.
I might suck at disc golf, but watching Simon regularly is improving my demeanor on the course while I suck. Thank you Simon for being so positive no matter what.
I liked the video when he said "This way guys, follow me!" Towards 7's tee pad. Fun to watch as usual Sir Simon. Thanks for walking and talking us through. And all kinds of love goes out to Gatekeeper Media. Keep it coming!
Hole #3... “Are those just gone forever?” 😂. Great hearing your practice round thoughts, Simon... entertaining and educational for viewers. Thanks so much!! 😎
A completely different type of video that I am used to seeing from any pro. I love hearing his initial opinion on every shot and what Simon is thinking about. A great change of pace from the fun videos that we usually see.
YESSSSSSS! Ana is back....I was thinking of setting up a bounty for that disc for you to get it back because it means so much to you! Thanks for being you Simon!
Saw you at south mountain on Thursday playing casuals, got any footage from that? so un real to see you out and about playing my home course, you the man Simon. 😎 get well soon.
@@toivovenalainen1227 it was a joke from the jomez coverage round 1 because paul just happened to touch/scratch his back on camera after throwing a tee shot. He shot a pretty good second round so safe to say he probably doesn't have an injury
Great video! One of my favorites from you (and the others are great too). Really liked to hear your thoughts on how to attack a new course and some great tips on top of that. A+
And I loved the other video as well at Gatekeeper Media's channel. Have to add that there where a bunch of funny moments too in both videos. Keep it up!
A buddy and i played this course about a month ago. you made this course look easy as hell. if your going to be in the area for another day or two check out Fort Washington state park. its tightly wooded course that will challenge anybody!!
Simon: Throws an awful drive into a corn field where he might not get his disc back. “You gotta love when that happens” Nikko in the same situation: “WORST SHOT OF MY LIFE! I HATE THIS GAME SO MUCH!”
Simon struggling with his water bottle made me chuckle lol. F it I'll just carry it!!. this looks like a killer course to try out even for a beginner like me. good luck today simon!!!
* picture of him when he fell on his ankle * Hey, my name's Simon I bet you're probably wondering how I got into this crazy situation, well it all started when I was practicing this course for the first time on camera. (Screen fades into flashback of that very moment)
Simon is such a smooth thrower with his form and body movements, I never knew until these mic’d up rounds how much he grunts haha. Guess the kinetic energy has gotta come out somehow
I told you she just got lost off the path, that she’ll find her way back home. 💪🏽 Edit: I need to go look 👀 for those 3 dank discs in the corn field. 🤣 #GreatVids🤙🏽
Instead of playing the course "blind", playing something "on-sight" is a pretty commonly used term in music, rock climbing, lots of stuff. There you go Simon ;)
So I don't know the first thing about disc golf, but started recently playing disc golf valley from watching your videos, looked like a pretty fun game, and just recently nailed a blind 377ft putt for birdie after missing a mando. It was Oak Hill hole number 7 in the challenge the valley section. I recorded the shot, if I could send the short video to you somewhere maybe you could give me a shout out and post in in a future video? Made the putt with the Musket disc, fairway 10
What a gorgeous course! While the monologue style of this video represents Simon's stream of consciousness, it simply isn't as entertaining as if there was someone along asking good questions. As an example, if Casey went along, but didn't play, then he could concentrate on asking solid questions, like maybe "Simon, is this a hole you would want to throw straight and fade hard at the end, or hyzer all the way?" This would then give Simon a chance to pretty much say what he would have anyway, but the question/answer format is simply less awkward, and therefore more entertaining. Well, just my thought on it anyway.
I don’t know if you’ll see this Simon, but I love your videos. You’ve inspired me to really dive deep into this sport and I really thank you for that. Keep up the awesome videos and keep on slinging them discs!
Come on Simon Left hand throw! It doesn’t take as much practice as you’d think. You won’t be bombing but for you 350’ controllable should be doable. Save you strokes on some holes and it would be a great couple videos of you learning to throw it. Bring on the entertainment. Happy throwing!
8:55 actually its not against the rules to not have name on the disc, that disc is uniqly dyed and that falls into the rule. Its just so you can tell your disc from others on your card.
If I went blind, I would like to keep playing disc golf. I’d either train a dog or get someone to describe the hole to me. The sound of the chains would be even sweeter.
Ahh, stupid me - reading the title I thought you meant playing the course blindfolded - and frankly, I thought that's kind of a sppectacular, but slightly stupid idea :D - the actual idea is much, much better ;)

Glad to hear that, he just seems almost too wholesome on camera ;)
I have meet Simon in person he is very nice guy to talk to a sweet person
What an awfully Nice and down to earth person he seem to be.. Really wanna meet him some day 😁🥏
Pro trick: you can watch movies on Flixzone. Me and my gf have been using them for watching all kinds of movies these days.
@Abraham Rhys yup, have been using flixzone} for months myself =)
“No problems, just lessons.”
Always important to remember. Ultimately, the only opponent you really have on the course is yourself.
brian Cooke Are you saying that he’s playing with himself?
@@jennycraigadventures3314 well that's one way to put it.. haha
ANNA!!!!! More excited for this than I am getting one of my own discs back.
Hahaha, that's so sweet of you
Why is this my favorite video of Simon's that I've watched so far? It just seems so real
ha, i love that he said im only gonna throw one disc. by home 3 hes got 3 out there. great work guys

Fun video Simon...like seeing your approach to each hole.
I could watch videos like this nonstop. Love hearing the thought process working through the course.
Really like these videos. Simon,Paul,Broady all give good vids. While we wait for the next Tourney

It’s funny seeing this after I watched you do it for real today. Thanks for FULL SENDING it on hole 9, it was epic to witness such a crush irl!

Amazing watching you play AGA yesterday!!!

This is like an episode of Black Mirror. Poor guy is just talking to himself while 3 or 4 dudes watch him silently.

So happy you got that disc back! It was heartbreaking when you lost it
Great commentary here Simon! Great for learning how to analyze and think about holes too.
That’s a beautiful course!
"Very good vision round"

I love Simon "One Shot" Lizotte
simon: hikes for five minutes to his drive
everyone else: not even worth two strapping to get to drive
I sometimes just pick it up by the disc compartment when it falls over and I'm only walking 10 feet
The putting problems continue....The story of my disc golf career lmao. Good luck man have a good time.
I’ll teach ya how to forehand again Simon after the season

is it bad that everytime simon says the teepads are SUPER grippy...i laugh a little...no...yeah i thought so
The teepads at this course ARE super grippy. The teepads at Steel Club... not as much. It was a common talking point among competitors.

You should play Jordan Park and Little Lehigh Parkway while you're in the area.
I want the back 9!
Glad the ankle only cost you a stroke today, day two.
I’m sure you know, but the back 9 is on Gatekeeper media.
