She is such a cheerful warrior. I have been having a similar pain on the bottom of my foot which is worsened by walking in sandles. I hope she gets better soon. I’m going to rest my feet as I have a 100k race in Colorado coming up! Have fun out there!
Great video, thank you ! We were in Grindelwald last weekend also and were up at First later on Saturday afternoon - it was a very hot day... We watched the torchlights of all the runners coming down the Eiger trail later that night from our chalet - it looked a fabulous course. Hope Audrée recovers quickly .
So scenic those trails in Eiger, definitely I would include this race into my bucket list. Hoping that Audree feeling much better and getting in the right path for recovery. Enjoy the TMB :)
Id just like to say to both of you, but especially Audree, that seeing the whole story (including the non-completions) is one of the big attractions to your channel. I like a lot that we see a real story; a real picture; not some ‘influencer’, fake, glamorous story. What you two do feels totally unachievable to me. I’m an active person, but at 55, I don’t have an aspiration to run an ultra. But seeing the highs and lows that you two go though is so motivating. Much more motivating than some shallow, feel-good story. So thank you for sharing your journey with us - the highs and the lows. I hope you recover quickly Audree. And I look forward to your next update.
Audree, you are an amazing runner! Very inspiring and have such an amazing perspective 🎉 thank you Jeff for sharing your gifts of film makimg, story telling and of couse amazing athletic abilities with the world of you tube 🏃♀️ 🏃♂️
Looking forward to meet and run with you two next week. Hopefully that foot is healed up well enough by then. Your video is awesome as usual and now I want to travel to Switzerland some day.
Sorry for Audrée, but better to stop rather than to push through and make a bad situation worse. So recover well and you’ll be good to go in September!
Audree and yourself really know how to push the line while still playing safe! A key in your adventures we are sure, which takes practice. Congrats on a fun journey and excited to see the Tetons!
Oh no hahah, i thought i saw you guys, but thought i was wrong, why should you be here, hahah! Aeesome video, makes me feel im just back at the race. The heat was horrible, but this place is insane ❤
6:29 man shots like this are insane. Just wow. I watched some other ultra racer say they don't like being asked how they're feeling. If they're feeling bad they don't want to talk about it cause its not going to help anyway and if they're good then their good and they just want to keep going no point talking about it.
Hi Jeff and Audrée. I had the pleasure of meeting you while walking to the start. I later spoke to you and Audrée again under more unpleasant circumstances right before the aid station at 70km before she had to abandon the race (I was the guy walking and talking with Audrée at 13:36). I‘m glad Audrée‘s foot ist not as bad as it seemed at that point and she can recover quickly. It was really nice to meet you both and I wish the race had ended for Audrée under better circumstances.
Thanks for sharing this awesome video about my home country. I live now in New Zealand, my other home country but do miss the Swiss Alps a lot. I did the 35km Eiger race last year as a preparation race and I'll surely sign up for the 100km at one point. Hope Audree gets well soon!
I was blessed to visit Grindelwald and First in June 2022 and it was as beautiful as this video. There cliff walk was great and we got to ride mountain carts halfway down the mountain and mountain scooters the rest of the way back down to Grindelwald.
Great video and documentation of the highs and hurdles of running. Definitely the right decision to stop pushing before the injury gets worse. Thank you for your efforts with these videos!
Thank you Jeff for all the sharing! You are doing an amazing job here: the storytelling is fantastic, the music is awesome and the quality of the images is great. I discovered your channel a few months ago when I suffered a knee injury. I now enjoy your videos during my training with the indoor bike while dreaming of being back on mountain trails! Watching you is helping me to keep my motivation high. I hope Audrée will get better soon! Good luck…
I was there and it was brutal! I dropped the 101k at the mid point and did the “50k” which turns out to be 62k at that point and I was toast. So much hotter than I anticipated.
Another great video. The red eyes and the tears got me good! Audree... you're a bad ass ultra runner and I'm sure you will conquer the Eiger in the years to come!
I recently had my first DNF due to time out, with a lot less impressive distance, at UTS 50k, and it hurt more than I thought.. I’d never even contemplated not finishing.. took a little while to accept. Well done with what you did do, and think you did the right thing. Hope for a speedy recovery.. and enjoy a little rest on your trip.
Really valuable film showing race injury and decision making. Godspeed on your recovery Audree! On another note, Jeff how do you like that Path hat, particularly in hot temps?
Just now catching this one. Knew Audrée had to pull the plug prematurely as posts indicated. But it was tough seeing that moment play out. We really feel the investment and the pain of having to give that up. Hope all’s well and that she’s on the mend. Thanks for the insights Jeff.
So sorry, Audree! 🙁 I hope your foot is doing better by now. 🤞 I’m sure you made the right call, though. The views looked amazing on camera & Im sure they were fantastic in real life! 🏔️Safe travels to you both & am looking forward to seeing more of your adventures!
Still a queen, champion and a warrior!!! 🎉💪 Before I found your channel and the UTMB videos I barely knew that someone could even do that, and watching you 2 running those kind of distances blew my mind! I love trail running but I've been struggling with only 10km for years due to a persistant knee injury, and now an injury in the same foot (and aprox the same day) as Audrée on a hiking trail in the mountains of Korsika 😂 A little nervous now that I have a 10k race in september... Anyways, if you knew what an inspiration you two are for me ❤❤❤ wish Audrée the best in her recovery!! 🤗
*hugs* oh I get pain of quiting having bailed out on several hikes. Never any fun, but I agree it was the right decision! But thank you once again for the encouragement these videos give me the night before a big hike.
I’m sorry to hear you had to DNF, must be gut wrenching after all the prep. But seems like it was the right choice. PS, what a beautiful setting for a race!
Audree passed me on the climb from Burglauenden to Wengen and I saw her again at the medical support in Männlichen. About one year ago I also had to stop the Eiger Ultra at this place. So I came back this year to get this "monster" done. Raced UTMB in 2022 and TDS in 2019 - we're following the same rhythm. Enjoy your stay!
Congratulations on a brutal/ beautiful 70k! Not the goal, but very impressive nonetheless!! I hope your foot heals up quickly so that you can enjoy your adventures!
My apologies, I did not realize you were actually shooting Audrée. Had no intention to interfere. Great video though! Sorry to see you had to DNF this race. I hope you recover quickly and please keep up what you guys are doing. It is pretty unique! All the best, Bas (Ross) 🙂
Cool! I am quite satisfied with how it it went, thanks for asking. Such a stunning place although I found the heat pretty intense especially the descent to the midway aid station. Happy with some pasta and the clowds. They disappeared however when climbing back up to Männlichen… Will you return? Looking forward to the Grand Teton film.
Unbelievable scenery in God's creation. Audree is tough to make it that far into the race and equally tough to gracefully accept the fate of having to drop out. Injured myself right now and missing running terribly.
Jeff you guys wear orthopedic flip flops/ sandals right? That might help in the next race for the sake of your feet. Great freaking race nevertheless! From the guy with destroyed feet
@@JeffPelletier Ah so y’all got that down to a T then! Yeah best at this point to lay off on the foot for a little bit and proceed to some good old fashion swimming for recovery that’s what I usually do for sprained/injured ankles or feet. Wishing a speedy recovery to her and a safe summer to you!
Oh man, DNF's are the worst... They tend to stay with you for ever, no matter the couse of the dnf... Good call though, regroup and recharge for the next adventure!

Kudos to Audree for showing the highs and lows of running, especially when feeling rock bottom. All the best to both of you and safe travels for TMB.
Aww, that brave smile right after the DNF is heart breaking💔 Get well soon, Audrée!
Loved the crewing perspective btw. Would watch any time.
Thanks for the video and good recovering for Audrée!
Rare Kilian sighting haha. What a beautiful place and hoping for a good recovery to Audree! Good decision to listen to stuff like that early for sure.
wishing Audree a speedy and safe recovery, great highlights as always
Gosh, those mountains are beautiful!!!!
Great video and of course great race for Audree. We’ll see you in the next one fully recovered

Feel for Audree having recently experienced a first DNF too - wishing a speedy recovery ready for your adventures ahead this summer.
Speedy recovery Audrey 🙏
See you next year! 🙌🏼🙏🏻

68.8km almost nice🤪prompt rétablissement audrée😭
Hey, next time you are in central switzerland hit me up for a fondue and a run up to pilatus :)
Hope Audrée is recovering well
Seems like Audree made the right decision even if it must have been hard to do at the time. Fantastic views though for sure
So will you be hitting any Stateside UMTB races? Curious to know if I may see you in Sept. (Grindstone)
We won’t be in the US this year until October for Moab 240.
