    While most UA-cam videos scream MORE, yours display serenity and calm that softly beckons to the adventurer in all of us.

    Jeff, thank you so much for this. As a Kiwi who lived in Europe for many years Annecy was my base camp for training, running and cycling. I spent many days and hours on La Forclaz and Tournette. Swimming in the lake was my recovery time and then for some great crepes or fondue in the old town.....I will go back Annecy soon when I am on my own UTMB journey. Merci for this video.

    This came out so much quicker than expected! Really glad to see y'all are staying healthy and enjoying your time as you still have so much left to do this season. The basically year round adventure coverage you provide here Jeff imo is basically unmatched on UA-cam. You really have your style and production down to a science and it's incredibly enjoyable to watch. Best of luck with your touring of the TMB!

    Amazing those views from the top and the route to go down. So happy to hear Audrées foot is better. It was so emotional seeing her dropping from the Eiger 100k. And that was from my computer chair, so I can't images what it was for her. Again, very happy she's getting better! Love the video as always!

    Appreciate all the work getting these videos out. No easy task I’m sure with everything you guys cram in. But the quality is top shelf as ever. Crystal clear, vibrant, great storytelling. Love the nods to the cafes and life in general too.

    Amazing video again Jeff. I was wondering though… I’ve been watching loads of your old views such as the Rockwall Trail and I was just wondering if at some point (I fully appreciate that you’re kinda busy this month lol) you could put together a short video explaining/showing what you guys do in terms of warm up and cool downs as I’m really interested. All your videos show you guys rocking up at a trail head and then immediately heading out but I have to assume you’re doing some sort of warming up or something? Maybe I’m wrong though, I dunno 🤷‍♂️

    How absolutely incredible. This video made me want to work harder... in my running, and on my house so I can sell it and move somewhere beautiful! 😂 What a gorgeous place, and a fun time with friends. I'm so happy to see Audree's foot is recovering so well! Looking forward to your next adventure, and pouring over your strava pics!

    Great stuff! Awesome trails i have never done. So close yet so far for me… great shots at the top of that summit! Are those shot with iPhone or did you carry your main camera? Always inspiring films both from a sport dimension but also from a film making standpoint. Thanks for the shout out! Was great catching up!! 🙌

    Beautifully captured! Seems like you had a great time over here. Next time Les Bauges is another great place to discover.
    And it's true that La Tournette is a quad killer every time I go there.
    Have fun in Cham.

    Hi Jeff and Audrey, great content again. My wife and i have been in annecy a few times and raced the maxi race. Never been on that top so that will be our next goal next year.
    Ag1 is working perfect for me. Using it for 6 months now. And feel better for sure.
    If you go to french again maybe you can take a look at the echappee belle. Technical race and different environment. We have been there a few times and never get dissapointed. This year again hiking some sections instead of racing.
    Can't wait on your next adventures content 💪

    As always great video and love the French music! I broke my super lite leki pole on the Vgb TMB tour second day! Had to buy a cheap replacement set in Courmayeur. Once home I emailed Leki and they quickly sent a replacement set. I was impressed with the service!

    • @esgee3829
      @esgee3829 Рік тому

      in what country did you contact leki? in the us, i've only ever had horrendously bad service responses from leki even when the problem seemed covered by warranty. they seem very good at finding whatever excuse they want to deny a warranty claim in my experiences.

    Jeff! I was running on the Alps when you were there in July. I want to say thanks for your inspiring videos that really helped me get into alpine running again. You might want to check out the Italian side of the border for epic ridge runs, great hospitality, and fewer crowds.

    i feel like all of you folks should've been singing while running, "The Hills are Alive" from Sound of Music. So majestic all the scenery, except for Gab running a little too close to Audree, but I know thats the custom of trail running groups, something which befuddles me when I run with them.

    Awesome! I was in Annecy for one day... I had no idea at the time it was this epic for trail running. Thanks for sharing Jeff! I hope to get there again one day and visit the Salomon headquarters! What camera are you using? Cheers from Colorado!

      I shot this mostly on a GoPro, along with an Insta360 X3, iPhone 13, and a bit of footage from my drone.

    Great video as always! Was everything shot on an iPhone and X3 or did I spot a GoPro shadow in there as well? I currently have an iPhone 13 Pro and am trying to decide between the X3 or Hero 11. I really appreciated your review of the X3 but I'm curious if it's more of a niche arrow in the camera quiver or if you would still choose the X3 over the Hero 11 if you could have only one for shooting these types of trail videos. Cheers!

    • @JeffPelletier
      @JeffPelletier  Рік тому +1

      Almost any static or zoomed-in shot was on an iPhone 13 Pro. Anything moving was shot on a GoPro Hero 13, and those wide ‘top-down’ shots were the Insta360 X3, of course.
      The X3 is indeed a fairly niche tool, as you said. I only bring it out on maybe 1/3 of my runs, really only when I know I’m going to be on ridges or a summit. My GoPro is definitely my go-to camera.

    We'll be there in September, does anyone know if the route back in the video is dog friendly?
    We'll be with our aussie, she's brave but some sections of the route up would be impossible for her :) If anyone has any recommendations, please share!

      Your dog would be happier ascending Talamarche, the next peak over. Not so high and no clambering or chains needed. I usually start from Thuy (park by the monument to the Resistance), but you can also do it from Alex. You can see the lake from the top.

    Odd question but can you see Mont Blanc from the top of La Tournette? I'm guessing there isn't that much distance between the two as the crow flies?

    • @Dinckelburg
      @Dinckelburg Рік тому

      La Tournette (2351m) La Tournette is the highest peak overlooking Lake Annecy. It culminates at an altitude of 2351m. From the "armchair", the summit block, you will have an exceptional 360° panorama of Lake Annecy, the Bauges massif, the Aravis chain and the Mont-Blanc.
