- In this video, I show you how I install a large android screen on the 2016 Mercedes-Benz C300 W205 project car. This should be the same process for a C300, C45, C63 and I think GLC.

John, I received my unit a few days ago and will be filing over the next few days. Looking at the wiring harness I've been supplied it has a small speaker supplied did you install this & is there any addition connrctions to be made for the factory rear camera?

Hey flex - great video. I noticed you unscrewed the center glove box and slid the wires under it. Is there any risk to this since screwing it back in would press down on the wires? Thought I’d ask!

Great Vid - I've watched a few of these install for the Android screens - you make it look a lot more do-able that any of the others. Including the tip on the plastic vent - to push it down to help. I'm handy enough, but was holding off dong this upgrade...might try it now! well done
It’s definitely not bad. Just time consuming and more of a pain if you have to shoot the video at the same time. Hahaha. There were a lot of outtakes.

Why do you need to install an extra gps receiver? Can‘t you use the original one that‘s already installed in the car?

Quick question as I can't seem to see you cover it in the video, what do you do with the other two USB cables in the arm rest storage area? Thorsten- trying to do the same with my GTS and running into some issues. My scroll wheel isnt working. Would you mind sharing any tips and tricks for me? In Flexx's video, he mentioned swapping the two connections in the harness if the wheel doesn't work, but my harness didint have those two connections. Did yours? Thanks in advance.
i want to buy one for my 2017 glc 300 and you made it look fairly easy. did you film this in one shot or did you have any issues in the process. just worried about taking it all apart and then getting stuck.
absolutely brilliant step by step install Flexx! and I did read on the DMP website (before it crashed, sorry guys lol), that is in fact Apple CarPlay compatible. I'm sold!

Great tutorial as always but do I have to use the supplied GPS? Can't the system use the one that already comes with the car? Same question goes with the USBs. Can't it somehow hook up to the OEM USB ports in the back? Thanks!
Is it possible to change the old track pad with the scroll wheel system into the newer slicker track pad system?
If the owner have a AMG variant, will the amg gauge that show the HP and torque still be accessible?

Do you know, if it is possible to turn on the backup camera without switching to reverse? I would like mine to turn on as soon as the pdc sensors turn on.

A few comments.
1. Can this unit allow multipoint Bluetooth so i can receive calls from either phone?
2. When running the GPS lead across the pillar it should be run under the pillar airbag so it does not interfere if it is deployed.
3. Any plans to fit a 360degree bird view camera (utilising factory reverse cam)

I have just done this, slightly different headunit. But the command wheel doesn't work anymore. I don't have the two plugs you said to swap over.
Hi Alexander I wanted to ask if I need to disconnect the car battery when replacing, there will be no problem then the problem with setting up the car. This is a GLC 250 2017. Thank you for the advice
May I ask how it looks when you put the car in Reverse?
I saw some photos that there is an ugly gauge on the side and the camera footage is not in full screen?

does the mercedes benz logo come on when u turn the car on so it looks factory....and does it have the car in the center screen where u control. the car functions
Flexx does the screem comes with the rear view system? Does the original camera can be used with that system?
Now you need to change the steering wheel then the centre dash to the new version
C300 cabriolet? I'm about to buy a 2020 and i have it on my 2015 c class 4matic not convertible. Do you think its the same thing?
My c400 has the oem ambient lighting on the center console. Does removing the console or anything on the installation process affect the lightning?

I saw some other clips on youtube and there always was the new screen in higher position than the stock screen and that doesn‘t look that good but here on this Videos the new screen looks exactly on the same position like the stock screen.
How did you do this ?

Depends. If you are using the OEM interface on the screen, all buttons on your car works like normal. When you are using the Android interface on the screen, only the volume control on the steering wheel works. Go watch my review video on the screen. ua-cam.com/video/25OSjqzXpGs/v-deo.html
Amazing video, but I had a single problem after doing the installation, I put a video on youtube on the screen itself and the audio is late, do you know what it can be and how to solve it?
Thank you so much for putting this together! Question: What about the mic? I see some screens come with microphones. I guess this one didn't and it utilizes the on-board mic?
There is a built in mic on the screen. But also comes with a seperate mic that looks onto the capble. DMP recommends installing the extra mic as well for better quality.
Since I have the burmester sound system will the screen affect any of the audio quality in a negative way*
Stupid question, but I have the coupe and some things that work for the Dean don’t work with the coupe, so I’m curious if it would fit and also if it has apple CarPlay
I'd be interested to see how well it maintains factory options since everything is controlled via this one screen. I also wonder if theres any way to change the boot graphic as I'd like to maintain my AMG boot rather than this android one. Do DMP ship internationally?

What happens when you put the car in Reverse? Does the factory reverse camera come up or doe some other reverse screen come up or... does nothing come up? Curious because I'm looking into buying this but don't want to render my backup cam useless.
Yo man, thanks for this video.. I am having a huge amount of trouble clicking the plastic behind the air vent back up into place.. did you have this problem at all?
I am wondering if all my cabling back there is restricting it's ability to go back into place?
This was the hardest part for me. Your cables are likely on top of the vent, I took a long screw driver and went from the top by the speaker and pushed everything behing the plastic and that did the trick

In the minute 07:45 you show the blue connector, and you haver others to connect a second camera? For a front camera? Because, if you connect a second one, probably will show and activate 360 camera? Or not? Thanks so much
How do you get it to automatically connect when you start your car in the morning?? I have to turn the OEM radio off and on before it will give any audio. Also i've lost the sound of the parking sensors :s

Thank you for the awsome video, I just installed but I have one problem, the audio is not working. Although when I use bt connections whit my phone to Mercedes bt, it does work. But the media playing through the screen don't work. Any idea where I mess up 🤣?
Can I listen to the original radio and use Google Maps at the same time? And can I also hear the navigation instructions? Does it need a separate speaker?

Got a weird issue.. My screen turns on whe. I connect the power cable.. But turns off again after some time. And stays off... The only way to start it again is to remove the cable and plug it back in...
Any idea what causes that problem.
