Flexx great video. I've been waiting for this one and as usual you didn''t disappoint. Very clear and concise. I have been purchasing components from DMP after every video. (except for the dashboard sign. Not really my style) I know it's more expensive that way but I have been waiting for your videos to see how difficult the install was for you. I will be making the purchase for these air vents soon. This looks easier than the 3d tweeter and door trim install. That took me about 12 hours total to complete. Dope vids bro. Always clear and never over explained to the point where it becomes difficult. Simple and straight to the point. About how long would you say this would take the normal person? If you could also say time wise how long for each of the first three videos that would be really helpful. Also. Would you recommend doing vids 1-4 in one day seeing as parts and trim would already be removed?

Hi, your videos are so well done and informative that I have to ask you for more. I recently ordered the Racechip GTS+ from Germany, and I would like to be absolutely sure of my install. The install involves three sensors including, the turbo pressure sensor, the MAP sensor, and the camshaft sensor. Btw I own a 2016 c300 4matic.

If you know, by chance, do I still need the OBD2 Box for the vents if I already have the factory 64-color lighting in an X253 (2022 GLC 300)?
If I DO NOT need the OBD2 hub, do you know how I would wire the vents into the already existing system?
If I DO need the OBD2 hub, do you have any idea if it syncs with/its possible to sync with the factory lighting system? Struggling to find guides/info on that.
Or do I maybe need to/should I get a kit with a remote/Bluetooth instead, just in case wiring into the existing system is not possible/OB2 won't sync/work? Again, don't feel pressured if you don't know, I just didn't know if you have any input since you have gone through the installation before, and the vents for X253 are the same ones in the W205.

That carbon fibre center console cover is VERY nice. But Houston's climate is much too hot for that. Seared forearms every day in summer.

i have a quick question i have the red dongle from DMP and i bought the main ambient harness kit for the center consale and doors and foot lights i want to know after i am done downloading the software do i have to take off the door panel and hook up the white connector from the driver side ambient light door harness to the #3 connector on the driver side door to make sure its working. if you can give some advise please id appreciate it.

Great How To video @Flexx this tutorial might just give me the confidence to install myself. I have my trusty trim removal kit and pick tools kit.... but I also need to swap my center console. I have the Ash Wood like your wife’s but purchased an OEM Carbon center stack. The Piano Black sides are scratched and scuffed. Have you had any experience swapping just that outer trim ring?

Therefore if I want to change the air vents for example, Is the steps the same as this video or different?
yes and no. The wiring is gonna be different. You need to contact DMP car design and ask them what kit to get and how to wire it up to your existing system.

Hey Flexx, I just bought a 2021 c300 coupe which comes with the 64 color led package. If I were to buy these, where would the connections be. In the video, it connects to the main wiring harness you installed earlier. Would I need that as well? How could I connect the leds with the system already integrated with the infotainment system?
same question, i got the 2021 aventegrade.
Both you guys will need to contact DMP and ask. They have kits for cars already with oem ambient lights. They will give you all the details. I don’t know what’s available for your cars. I only know the stuff for mine.

My c400 has some stock ambient lighting on the doors and centre console would these upgrades be brighter then the stock lights?

I would like to contact you to discuss how possible would it be for you to do the install to my vehicle. I just bought a 2019 C63 for a price in which at the time I thought was ridiculously low. I now know why I got that 19 C63 for that price, it was literally spec’d with the bare minimum.. No Ambient Lighting!

Tell me please with all the vents lighting up is not to bright at night driving? I know that can be dimmed but if you dimming to much the door ambient will be too weak...What do you think? There is a way of dimming only the vents?

Does the colors of the vent change in sync with the other lights? I have stock ambient lights for a e300 will the colors be out of sync?
You need to ask DMP. I don’t know. My stuff is all hooked up to an aftermarket light source (go watch all videos in this ambient light video series). Mine is not to connected to an oem light system.

Correct. If you want each part, it comes with its own harness for the control. Just double check with DMP before buying.

Go look on dmp car designs website in the video description. There’s a kit to make a 3 color to 64. The install is slightly different but DMP can walk you thru it.

Hey, so I have a W205 2019. I got the Stock 64 Color Ambient Light Package. I really want these vents because they look sick. How do I connect these vents to the stock ambient wiring? Are there some "free" connectors or do i have to connect it somewhete between?

Don’t know. I never had the OEM ambient to compare it to.

Hello Flexx, where can I get the white plastic guide to channel the cable of the right turbine that appears in your video?
It’s just a large long zip tie wrap you can buy from Home Depot or Lowe’s or Walmart. I just cut off the square end so it’s flat/thin so that end doesn’t catch on anything as I’m pulling it through the car.

yes, you just need to inform DMP what kit on you car you already have and they can supply the right kit to work with it.
