How can i update the program on the my 2018 AMD C63s to accept the AUX feature to work, instead of using the USB way, as im sure ill lose sound quality.... what do you think???

Any clue as to why when using the indicator it switches to the MB-Screen rather than staying on Car-Play? Quite annoying... especially when using Google-Maps...

Could you provide any information about how to code the car for AUX? All the dealerships i've asked say they can't do it.
In 21:38 How did you remove the speedometer that’s on the right hand side of the display? “ it comes up in the NTG menu and when I go into reverse” really annoying and takes up half the screen

Hey bro. With the apps like you tube and Netflix I have no sound. Same with sometimes when playing music through car play. Seems that system doesn’t want to use volume only when on Bluetooth. Is there a system setting for this?

Hello, I am from the UK and my Multimedia screen is showing black and white lines so none of the syetem which are controlled by screen are not working. but when i put it reverse gear it does show the back camera image for 3 to 4 seconds and then disappears and shows black and white lines. my car details are: C220 D bluetec, Reg 2015 in the UK. my question is if this screen got broke then how can i find the correct screen and can i change by myself by removing the plastic panel by using the plastic panel remover tool? thank you

I have problem with my w205 Mercedes-Benz. Its screen appeared “ Boot Loader Active” and could not run the operation on the screen. Then I replaced it
with the Android Screen “Snapdragon 450 NTG 5.0, 8 G ram and 256 rom” but it failed to work. The sound system doesn’t work out and the When I operate the reverse gear, the camera doesn’t show the rear view and my new android screen shows “ Boot Loader Active”

since a few days my phone isn’t connecting anymore with the Bluetooth so no music calls car play of any kind works now and don’t know how to fix it?
at Bluetooth telephone it now says not activated i think there’s something wrong with that.
also in the android settings it shows nothing at the Bluetooth setting really weird and it worked before so something must be not right?

If you’re using the AUX to USB box then that will be mostly the problem causing the delay.

I’ve installed mine, all works brilliantly apart from when I make/receive a phone call - I get no call audio at all. Do I need to install the speaker and mic that came with the screen or is there a setting to use my OEM mic/speakers instead?

You have to install the mic and speaker. This guy doesn’t mention that.

Great video! I have similar Android screen. Everything works perfect, except phone calls. I can listen spotify with Android Auto, but when I answer a call I can't hear anybody, but everyone hear me. I don't have any idea where the problem is.

If you had the basic audio 20 system in your merc, you can’t code aux input. It’s like that for the UK at least.

Ever had an issue where the command controller doesn't work. No power, volume or scroller.
Bluetooth sometimes connect to iPhone but struggles to connect. Zlink often does not connect automatically. What could be the issue? When turning vehicle off and on again Bluetooth won’t connect and Zlink won’t connect.

hello there. iv seen alooot of products online like this one, but no1 speaks about the sound quality. hows compared to the stock ones? ( i think will be the same because its not another unit, you just install it on the one you already got from factory) is that true?
Yes, sound quality is still the same, if not better. HOWEVER you need a unit like ours, with good audio OUT.
Do i need to Radio code if i switch to a new display ?
Is it ok to plug the USB adapter into one of the coloured USBs connected to the new screen? Or do they have to use one of the ones in the console box?
The purpose of the USB adapter is to feed the music output from the android screen into the original amp and speakers, therefore it needs to be plugged into one of the two USB ports in the console, as they are inputs to the amp. Plugging into one of the coloured USBs would just connect the screen back into itself. These may be used for transferring data/music files to the screen, or an SD card plugged into it, from a USB device.
When setting up, you can, for example, plug the USB adapter into one of the console ports and a USB thumb drive into the other and then select which input to use from the devices selection in the Media tab under the NTG menu option on the screen - allowing you to play sound from the screen, or from the USB device. (One thing that invariably catches me out, no matter how often I do it, is that you must use the original selection wheel or touch pad on the console when in the NTG menu, and not the touch screen. Touching the screen will take you back to the android menu).
You've made this job 10x more complex than it needs to be....

Thanks for the install instructions. I just completed the installation and am having one problem. The reverse/backup camera feature doesn't work. When I put the car in reverse and the android screen is already booted up, absolutely nothing happens. I need to go to the NTG menu to see the back up camera and it works fine there. Any ideas?
Go setting, system, camera selection and change it to OEM CAMERA
@@SuperShowtimers the setting is already at oem camera so I’m not sure what the problem is or how to fix it. I do not have an aftermarket camera. I posted a video on my channel of the problem if you want to see it. Thanks..... I eventually figured out the problem. I had to make a change in the factory settings under CAN protocol from 5.0C to 5.0A.

hello i bought a cla 45 amg with one of these already installed and i was wondering how i can get into the factory setting since i dont have a code. Is it written somewhere in box (the previous owner gave me the box for the screen and the og screen). Also i always have to connect to bluetooth in the mb app and then go to zlink in order to get audio. I dont get audio when i just connect to zlink. Please someone help because having to connect to bluetooth and then go to zlink for apple carplay is really annoying.

@@nofear4890 reset the system camera worked and enable the usb on the media interface of the Mercedes stereo it’s mainly the settings

Hello, great install video! I have just completed install on my 2017 C63S Coupe and I have sound with Bluetooth and Apple CarPlay but no android sound.. the manual does not contain any information on this matter. Thanks for any help!
You haven't plugged in the sound connector - see at 6:40. Don't be confused by bluetooth working, you will note that the apple sounds (eg siri or reading text messages) don't work even though playing music may.
How was the sound quality? I have the Burmester system and don't want a significant downgrade in quality.

If you have to use the AUX to USB box the audio quality is horrific.
I’m going to be trying an FM modulator as a work around, this is a hardwire solution, not to be confused with the fm transmitter.

Is this using Andriod 10 or 11? Because with 11 I believe Andriod Auto is now wireless.

I'm not getting any signal from my NTG despite being sure to plug in the cable you said to plug in, in your video.
If anyone else has this issue, I contacted my retailer and they said to check under factory settings > car type > NTG 5.0
I fixed the issue, turns out I hadn't properly connected the quadlock. Stupid issue that I caused myself but worth checking if you have any issues.
Now I have discovered a new issue, the sound quality is actually quite bad now. There seems to be almost no bass, as if the subwoofers are not even working. I've tried to look through all the settings but can't make it work. The sound is like this regardless of what input is selected, so I have a feeling it's something to do with the aux connection, like putting it into stereo has dropped the subs off?

what about split screen?
I have tried this Android unit and I had to take it out again. The no. 1 reason is that the OEM microphone of the car is not used but a tiny small microphone on the right side of the unit. No way to use handsfree with this unit. Also, Carplay (Zlink app) keeps crashing or BT is not connecting. I have not found any Android unit that uses the car's OEM microphone and I will never put anything without it.

For anyone having issues with the carplay not connecting sometimes just go to the tablet SETTINGS -> Wifi and connections -> hotspot -> Make sure it's active and on 2.4 ghz. sometimes it's not working in 5 ghz and that's why it does not connect.
