    The absurd thing, in my opinion, is that his lawyer's questioning makes one thing clear: Katherine Magbanua is not a criminal mastermind; she acted not only out of financial interest out of her own poverty, but later out of misplaced loyalty to the father of her children and possibly Charlie. She has consistently made bad decisions that have harmed her as well. What it illustrates is how much the multimillionaire Adelson took advantage of these people's poverty to avoid incriminating himself. I have a very clear picture of his client's character - and unlike Magbanua, there is nothing that makes me feel lenient toward him.

      💯. I have much more sympathy for Katie than I did during her own trials. Sending her first love after 10 years together, and the father of her children facing a death penalty charge really clears up her motives. I’m sure many women would do the same.

      @Sc-Runner Рік тому +55

      I came to say the same thing. no idea how the defense attorney thinks he’s going to make his client look good by bullying a broken woman who knows she’s in prison for life. I mean seriously, making her admit the only way she’s leaving prison is in a box? He needs to worry about his client who came from privilege and used that privilege to manipulate under privileged people (who obviously still made incorrect choices) to kill his brother-in-law and an innocent father of two children. What’s the attorneys angle, that Katherine was the mastermind? And if so for what? To impress or extort Charlie? Good luck with that.

    • @Sc-Runner

Like, does he not have notes in front of him? Did he not prepare, so that the minutia of his questions wouldn't trip him up? No, apparently not.
