@TheEpicNate315 Alright Nate, I've given you 49 episodes to find the following detail, and yet it still hasn't been found. Time to make my contribution to your channel: During the Quest, "A Cure for Madness" the player has to go through the Black Door at the entrance of the Dawnstar Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary. In order to progress the quest, the door asks you: "What is life's greatest illusion?". Among some of the possible answers, the following is given: "Dreams are reality, and reality is really a dream?" Despite it being an incorrect answer, this answer is a very iconic reference from the famous spanish play: "La vida es sueño" (Life is a dream), by the famous play writer: Pedro Calderón de la Barca. One of the main aspects of the play is that its protagonist, during nights, is kidnapped and lead to believe that he is dreaming, when actually he is awake and being tested by the nobility of his kingdom. The most famous quote of the play is literally giving an answer to the Black Door: "¿Qué es la vida? Un frenesí. ¿Qué es la vida? Una ilusión, una sombra, una ficción; y el mayor bien es pequeño; que toda la vida es sueño, y los sueños, sueños son." Translation: "What is life? A frenzy. What is life? An Illusion, a shadow, a fiction; the greatest good is small; all life is a dream, and dreams are only that". Since I have never seen a single person in the world acknowledge this reference, I want to make it visible for more people.
I was playing one of my favorite quests “A Night to Remember “ and I noticed that when speaking to Ysolda about the wedding ring she referred to my “fiancé” as “he/him”when I asked about the ring but when I chose the persuade option “I just need to get to the wedding. Please”she says “I’m sure your bride to be will tell you when and where the wedding will be.”
Kay so two I’ve found out today ( they’re kinda useless ): 1. If you have followers that are main characters in a current story line (Delphine And Esbern for this example) following you for a quest, and enter your spouse’s shop that you have access to, you can get them to fight. When I did this - Esbern killed Camila Varlerius and I wasn’t help accountable for anything. 2. This one is stupid, but I took money out of Delphine’s secret room which for some reason wasn’t stealing, and when I went into the main inn Sven came up to me and said “You found that lying around, nice!” Which I kinda liked because it shows the tiny details and dialogue they do 😂.
The Oghma Infinium can be kept after being used. When you read it and choose your boon, close the book, but not your inventory. Drop the book then pick it back up. You can keep it indefinitely and add it to your collection of rarities.
@@normalhuman9878 - The Oghma Infinium isn't something you get in Apocrypha. It's the book you get from Septimus Signus's lockbox. Normally, once you receive the boon, if you close your inventory, it will vanish, supposedly to have returned to Hermaus Mora. However, if after reading it, you immediately drop it without closing your inventory, you can pick it back up and keep it forever as part of your Daedric Artifact collection. If it is the same book, it could be a glitch, or maybe reading it while in Apocrypha messes with its normal function, just like how you can't read black books on the mainland. The location might cause it to behave differently. Might be worth testing, if so.
The band Katatonia is also referenced in Dawnguard. In a journal, there is written "something, something.... night is the new day." Night Is The New Day is one of their albums.
As i said before: J'Zargo in the College of Winterhold makes a reference to The Adoring Fan from Oblivion. And Paarthunaax comments on your race when you are to demonstrate the Fire Breath shout(but you have to wait a few seconds after you learn it from Him) And the Throw Voice Shout, the voice itself, depends on your race, and basically the only time you can hear your Character speak!
Well since he was added after most players killed Alduin and Harkon as well as most of the other bosses he sees you as the only challenge left in Skyrim.
I paid my respects today to all of my family that served in the armed forces. I also went to Falkreath and spread some flowers around the graveyard. Thank you to all that served.
Agreed. "Ill met by moonlight, proud Titania" ran through my head and then Nate clubbed my ears with...whatever it was he said. I also don't want to hear however Shakespere intended it to be pronounced. English pronunciation has drifted a great deal since his day.
1:55 "We live in a dark world, where no light shines through; I carry this burden with every step i take" This is legitimately the coolest thing i've discovered through your videos; Being as big a fan of death/doom metal (that's the bands' specific genre; added footnote, i once did a vocal cover of one of their songs, which i unfortunately lost the original recording of) as i am a gamer (am 27, have been gaming since i was 11), this fact actually blew my mind. I love it.
Something that surprised me was finding all the ousted Jarls in the basement of the capital talking smack to me and then I was like hey let me show some magic Blizzard they're immortal good place to train magic and I got bounties from their towns
the "velvet lechance" is probably a reference to Oblivion's Lucien Lachance. The drink is also made with several poisonous ingredients, furthering the connection. The White-Gold tower is also seen in Oblivion, it's a triple reference!
Correction. When you go to the thalmor embassy, you can find cyrodilic brandy. Malborn even gives you a bottle during the quest. So the bit where you say that those 3 drinks are not in the base game, is false. Just some helpful fact checking :)
This is always like the Imgur posts of "Posting a llama fact every day until Chippy the Llama is the patron saint of space ship explosions." You think, "This won't last too long." But then almost 2 years later he's still dutifully posting and it's an event unto itself. And lo, another llama fact was delivered.
Idk if these have been mentioned yet, but here we go. In Sheogorath’s quest, The Mind of Madness, during the Night Terrors segment, you turn a Hag into a sultry maiden using the Wabbajack. If you can get this sultry maiden to talk, she will have a man’s voice. Given that you’re inside Pelagius’s mind, and the quest is pretty much about insanity, this was probably intentional, but there is still some debate. The only way I’ve gotten her to talk is by attempting to pickpocket her. The Argonian From-Deepest-Fathoms could be a reference to the movie The Beats from 20,000 Fathoms, which feature a large, lizard-like monster. This one is most likely a coincidence given that none of her dialogue or her quest has any similarity to the film, but it’s one of the first things I thought of when meeting this NPC.
They probably used a “Midsummer Nights Dream” quote because the quest focuses around a guy who turns people into animals. In the play, a man is turned into a donkey
not sure if you've already covered this, but if you convince louis letrush to let you keep frost (the horse) during the "promises to keep" quest, later on you'll sometimes find louis standing beside your horse (frost) just kinda looking at him throughout skyrim (usually at a stable, i usually find him at the whiterun stables). it's like he's angry and stalking frost
I remember finding the door to Orrery in Oblivion, but I didn’t have the DLC (didn’t realize I needed the DLC) I was determined to not let an unlockpickable door stand in my way, I unlocked it with console commands and it was just a big empty room. Kind of a perfect place to use console commands to spawn in guards and enemy’s and test your mettle without innocent bystanders.
The first one is especially humorous as they say the dialogue "we live in a dark world where no light shines through" when you have a mod installed to give sunlight.
I've mentioned this before and I've just completed another playthrough of the Soul Cairn - Close to the small Orc camp in the Soul Cairn, you can find a dragon skeleton with something on it or laying next to it related to the Orcs.
19:45 Uh, Nate? Cyrodiilic Brandy also appeared in Oblivion. In fact, it also appeared in vanilla Skyrim as part of an encounter with a couple of (rude) Wedding Guests who were taking it to Solitude as a wedding present.
For anyone playing the quest Ill Met By Moonlight, you can get both rewards by sparing the werewolf, going outside to talk to Hircine, then going back in and killing him immediately. Just a friendly tip 😁
The appearance of the Ogma Infinium is based on historical descriptions of the Necronomicon: A book bound (meaning the covers, the pages, and the spine) with a patchwork of human flesh, and inked in human blood.
the guards do regular shift changes and if you stand in front of the barracks during these times youll be bombarded with a patrol of guards getting off work and chatting with you about whatever goes on before going to sleep

Mete Tural a role playing game yes. Definitely if you want to be a stealth archer who is also good with fire magic then you can. Or if you want to be a 2 handed tank you can. People think games like gta and kingdom hearts are role playing games but they aren’t
@@icepick9575 heh... why not a bard? Anyway in some quests theres only two things you can say, Yes. Or no and then ask this person later yes. Like with Parthurnax. Delphine tells you to kill him. You cant refuse. It'll still be in your quest log for the rest of the game. Even though the Blades are supposed to serve the dragonborn she is telling the dragonborn to do something. Yes some characters would kill parthurnax. Hmph maybe I shouldve worded that better... I ment I dont think skyrim is a very good RPG. Not saying it's a bad game just a bad RPG. There is a reason people nickname skyrim as "babies first RPG" I was just disappointed as someone who's played Morrowind and Oblivion to then have Skyrim that's just... smeg.
Do you have a video on blades vs Paarthurnax? I’m curious what your thoughts are on whether to kill him or keep him alive, and the repercussions of both.
My guess on the "Ill met by Moonlight" title is that the play involves a man with a donkey head-- or a man-beast-- who is made such by the magic of Puck, servant of Oberon who says that line. Hircine is the father of man-beasts, so perhaps it could be a connection there. It might be a stretch, but it's better than nothing.
The Oghma Infinium has a couple extras. The text, written in (badly translated) Portugese, is a brief detail of the quest relating to the book, as though the book was able to foretell its freedom. The image on the left side is an impression of the Imperial City.
A year and a half late, but the house telvanni detail is made a tad strange by a book you can find in a waterlogged chest in a shipwreck just east of the college which purports to be the last heir of house telvanni's letter to his infant son.
The quest given by hircine would refer to that play because Oberon and Titania are said to be king and queen of the fairies. Who, in some tellings, lead “The Wild Hunt”.
I'm not sure if anyone tried or if you've already featured this detail. If you dont pursue the main quest meaning there are no dragons yet. The locations of some of the word walls sometimes have occupants in them like forsworn, necromancers even bandits.
The cyrodilic brandy can be found in vanilla skyrim. If you are part of the dark brotherhood and have yet to kill the emporer's, you can find a rich couple and their imperial guard on their way to solitude for the wedding of the emporers cousin. You can listen to many lines and conversations about them rushing to attend the wedding and bringing gifts for the soon to be wedded. Kill them and you can find a bottle of the cyrodilic brandy on one of their bodies, along with lots of jewelry and gold.
You can get cyrodillic brandy in vanilla skyrom from a random encounter. There will be a couple of wealthy imperials on the roads with an imperial bodyguard. The bloke always has brandy
You are wondering why Bethseda referenced Midsummer night's dream? Maybe because the play has to do with humans transforming into partially animals and the fairy king Oberon is little like Hircine? Or at least Hiricine is heavily inspired by celtic mythology and mix of some celtic gods and spirits.
Actually there is ano, dwemer built, Orerry in Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard. It might be the inspiration for the one in Cyrodiil. It's also implied on a letter that was part of the DLC description in Bethesda's site. There is apparently another one in Firsthold mentioned in ESO and present as a card in Legends.
Has Nate mentioned anything about a shrine of Arkay in a forsworn camp? Because I remember seeing a shrine hidden in plain sight on a ledge in a forsworn camp (I don't remember which one). I don't know too much about the forsworn, Markarth, or Tamriel's history in general, but I remember the "Armor of the Old Gods" implying that the forsworn likely reject gods like Arkay.
Skyrim: Bethesda, I'm trying to sneak around... but the clap of my details keeps alerting Nate. *alert noise what the fuck how am I supposed to symbolise that noise* Bethesda: Skyrim report! Skyrim? SKKKKKYYYYYRRRRRRIIIIIIIMMM!
Nate, you are doing a great job on your videos (I should know, I've been subbed since 1.5k) But could you branch out to other Bethesda games such as Fallout 3, NV, Oblivion. Or even other amazing games such as Oddworld or Thief. Thx, keep up the great work
Something that happened to me in my save was when I was doing the Revealing the Unseen, where you go to mzulft to follow the synod in search of the staff of magnus, my game glitches and it would not let me focus the crystal, so eventually I gave up and returned to the college, when I returned I spoke to mirabelle Ervine And was shocked to see that the player is able to tell mirabelle everything that is going on in the quest and tell her the synod are dead and that you are trying to decipher their notes on what they where doing. I have never noticed this and from what I can tell you can only do this if you return to the college after going through mzulft and then not completing the quest and returning to mirabelle.
This is off subject, anybody remember encountering the that colossal mudcrab, I do! My friend always watches me play, he wasnt there at the time, I called him to tell him of this suprising encounter, he didnt believe me, well being and old pro I save often with a shit load of slot, when he did show up and saw it we had a good laugh, crab wasnt tough but boy when he appears out of the sand banks of that tributary I was flabbergasted!!! Mete Tural a role playing game yes. Definitely if you want to be a stealth archer who is also good with fire magic then you can. Or if you want to be a 2 handed tank you can. People think games like gta and kingdom hearts are role playing games but they aren’t
@@icepick9575 yes but your just talking about combat. Not the role playing
Mete Tural that’s what the role playing is an assassin or a tank
Nate send me pics of your tiny detail.
Also almost at 500 Details good on ya buddy i love your videos i always share them with my friends! :)
Wtf
My guess on the "Ill met by Moonlight" title is that the play involves a man with a donkey head-- or a man-beast-- who is made such by the magic of Puck, servant of Oberon who says that line. Hircine is the father of man-beasts, so perhaps it could be a connection there. It might be a stretch, but it's better than nothing.
My man Nate at it again, 5000 years after Skyrim has released, still somehow finding new tiny details.
My god, the way you say Titania....
If you shoot the sun with auriel’s bow using blood tipped arrows, your children will comment on how the sun looks
I have been in Midsummer Night’s Dream and if I hear you pronounce Titania like that again I will probably lose my mind
The Oghma Infinium has a couple extras. The text, written in (badly translated) Portugese, is a brief detail of the quest relating to the book, as though the book was able to foretell its freedom. The image on the left side is an impression of the Imperial City.
I Slippy Napkins the high elf wizard vampire lord master of destruction and necromancy demand that you describe Skyrim as a "THICC" game
On the Oghma Infinium the first symbol look like the symbol of Tzeench, a chaos god from Warhammer
Holy crap I’m a minute in!
What
A year and a half late, but the house telvanni detail is made a tad strange by a book you can find in a waterlogged chest in a shipwreck just east of the college which purports to be the last heir of house telvanni's letter to his infant son.
I just can‘t get enough of these videos, SKYRIM 4 EVER!!
The amount of things within this game is amazing! I wonder how many videos you’ll end up making on ES6, haha?
This guy make me wanna go back install and play skyrim everytime he posted this series
I restarted Akron this past weekend and I’m not stopping until I hit every single quest
Skyrim: Bethesda, I'm trying to sneak around... but the clap of my details keeps alerting Nate.
*alert noise what the fuck how am I supposed to symbolise that noise*
Bethesda: Skyrim report! Skyrim? SKKKKKYYYYYRRRRRRIIIIIIIMMM!
I dont know if this is already covered but in dragons reach the campfire makes a methalic sound when you hit with a weapon
I like how Skyrim is composed of mostly Icelandic and Norse things, for instance dragur (nordic) means zombie, and obviously the Icelandic thing
UA-cams best video series is back again!
Great moments in gaming history!
