You've done it now. The Warning Army is here. Their strength is LIVE, in concert. You can check that from a concert at "Teatro Metropolitan" CDMX(Mexico City) in Aug. 2022. The "Teatro" concert was 22 songs and not a bad one in the mix. This concert was professionally recorded. This is going to get me yelled at, I'm sure, but I feel like when Dany hits the high note in "drown" in the live version it's way more shouty-sounding than on the album version. It sounds great in the Sirius XM live recording of Choke too, but these popular live versions sound comparably poor (at least on the high note), to me. It sounds particularly rough (comparatively) at 2:30 of the Live at Teatro Metropolitan CDMX version.
I know I'm being nitpicky, but I like the album version the best.

Here they were only: Alejandra 15 (the bassist), Paulina 18 (the drummer), Daniela 20 (the guitarist)!!!!! Now they are: 19, 22, 24. Their 4th album was released today.
You are going to really want to get into The Warning - they have a fantastic backstory & their creativity with songwriting and performing will lift up your day!!
They just dropped their new album *today* - try some of that! These young ladies take a classic hard rock base and have some songs veering off into punk, grunge, metal, prog rock, you name it. They even throw in some small elements from k-pop. Their real superpower is live performances, though, so take a look at 'Evolve' from the 2023 MTV VMAs. Wear a seatbelt!

*a concise history*
*_The Warning_* are Daniela, Paulina, and Alejandra, three sisters from Monterrey, Mexico... you'll see their names and band name abbreviated as DPA or DPA/TW... each goes by a nickname taken from the first part of their names... Dany for Daniela, Pau (like POW!) for Paulina, and Ale (like Ah Leh) for Alejandra...
DPA/TW started with music at a very young age... like 4 and 6 for Pau (drums) and Dany (guitar) when they started learning and playing classical piano... Ale (bass) was still pretty much a newborn... they all learned and played classical piano first... as a family, they used to watch concerts on TV together... music has always been a part of their lives and they are influenced by many bands from years past... then came the game, Rock Band, which Dany and Pau played all the time with Ale watching and clapping along... Pau, at age 6, gravitated to the drums and Dany, at age 8, took up the guitar... Ale was 7 or had just turned 8 when she chose the bass... a few months after Ale started playing the bass, the girls realized they had all they needed to form a band and here we are today...

their 1st EP, _"Escape The Mind"_ (2015), is where their very first experiments now live... each of the girls was given a task by their mentor to write a song individually... then they wrote their first song together... all of these songs are on the EP... it wasn't even going to exist but they decided to figure out how recording was done and here we are...
their 1st album is _"XXI Century Blood"_ (2017) which showcases their early sound which is definitely heard in their music, today... the title song has an OMV which tells a story about technology among other topics... it was nominated for and won several awards when it was released... they are GenZ and this album is the world from their POV and some things they want to change about it... the whole album is fantastic! 😜
their 2nd album, _"Queen of the Murder Scene"_ (2018) (aka QOTMS), is a concept album... read that again... yes, 2nd album - concept album 🤯 it tells the foreboding story of a Queen in love with someone that doesn't know she exists, how quickly things can unravel, and all go much differently than one might imagine... it is a dark and foreboding tale of battles between good and evil over her very soul...
their 2nd EP, _"Mayday"_ (2021) was released as a prelude to their 3rd album, _"Error"_ , mainly to get the music out there... this was during the pandemic when everything was shut down and no bands could do any touring... they had a lot of material and rather than fretting about everything being shut down, they took advantage of it and put all their attention into getting their album done...
their 3rd album, _"Error"_ (2022), is their first album after they signed with a label... they were in negotiations for 7 months(!) before they signed with Lava... the first half of the album was originally released as their 2nd EP, _"Mayday"_ , because the pandemic kinda threw a wrench in things... they turned their attention immediately to getting the whole album out since they could not actively travel and perform... their Metropolitan Theater concert in Mexico City back in 2022 has songs from all three of their albums... all of the songs up, to this point, they wrote, composed, orchestrated, recorded, recorded, etc themselves...
their 4th album, _"Keep Me Fed"_ , dropped June 28, 2024! this is quite the album release many of us have been waiting for!

Your timing is amazing. This band just dropped what may be one of the greatest hard rock albums ever. Keep Me Fed is one banger after another, but all distinctly The Warning. Four end-to-end wonderful albums. It is a deep rabbit hole. Have fun.
Man, add in a big ol' Hammond B3 with a Leslie cabinet, and holy SHIT, their sound would be as huge as Jupiter. Each of them play piano, so why not? No, clearly rock isn't dead, it just moved to Mexico and we didn't get the fax.
So you enjoyed this song from The Warning, yeah the rock, they rock big time! This was not the best introduction to them, it would have been better seeing them perform it live. If you were impressed by Dany’s vocal range Hell you call a dream from the Pepsi center would be best, if you like heavier stuff Automatic Sun is a great option - be sure to get your video links from their UA-cam channel, there’s a fully documented account of their progress from tiny children when they learned to play Classical Piano and of course everything leading up to the start of the band and their progress ever since. ⚡ As you get to know The Warning more you discover that they have several styles of rock but they are invariably pure rock!!
And I continue to reaffirm my humble but very own opinion that with its structure, its cuts, transitions, rhythm changes, modulations, choruses, pre-choruses, drum attacks, its endings…
All of this is masterful.
The great beauty of their art is in its simplicity but all of this always seems to be at the right time and in the right way, bordering on perfection and predominating sophistication.
There could always be other options, but the ones they chose seem to be the exact ones to create a masterpiece of art.
Also impregnating everything with a natural touch of inevitable sensuality that only adds improvement and with the feeling, sensitivity and passion of their blood, race and culture.
Each of its pieces can be very different, but always with all the TW flavor.
It’s very clear that these sisters have no limits.
They have that gift that only belongs to the geniuses that appear among us every certain period of time.
This is the youngest veteran band in the rock world.
Without forgetting that there are only three of them, yes, but three true geniuses in their field.
Melodically they are the best, without a doubt.
They are the queens of the hook, the riff, the key changes, the contagious rhythms, the catchy melodies, the sublime voices, the unbeatable harmonies and the ambiguous but deep and powerful messages.

Listen to Keith. Dany’s vocal range is unknown as she keeps raising the bar. The graceful bassist is the youngest sister Ale, affectionately called the “Thunder Goddess”. Nothing will prepare you for the drummer Pau when it’s her turn to take the lead. She can sing with the same intensity as her eldest sister Dany, or break your heart with ballads, WHILE drumming. The Villarreal-Velez sisters are amazing songwriters and performers from Mexico who live in Monterrey, San Pedro Garza Garcia, Nuevo Leon. Each one of their original songs is great. Their second album, "QUEEN OF THE MURDER SCENE", is a concept album. It follows a girl's journey into unrequited love; from infatuation and obsession on into stalking and murder, then madness and the fight over her soul. It is a masterpiece. It was nominated for Best Rock Album at the 2019 Independent Music Awards.
Their 1st full-length LP, "XXI CENTURY BLOOD", is also very good and is packed with many great songs. The video for the title track, "XXI Century Blood", was nominated for and won many awards.
Their very 1st released recordings are from their 6 song EP, "ESCAPE THE MIND"; and it is amazing.
Despite being courted by numerous offers from many major record labels, The Warning have stayed independent through the years; relying on crowd funding to finance their projects. They refused to give up creative control over their material ... down to even the clothes they wear on stage.
After 7 months of negotiations, The Warning signed a 5 album recording contract with Lava/Republic Records/Universal Music Group in the fall of 2020.
They decided to release 1/2 (6 songs) of their completed 3rd full-length album in an EP called "MAYDAY" October 8th, 2021. The entire album was released June 24th, 2022: called "ERROR". "Disciple" is my favorite track!
They are going to release their 4th studio album "KEEP ME FED" June 28th, 2024. And 6 singles off the new album have already been released: "MORE", "S!CK", "HELL YOU CALL A DREAM", "QUE` MA`S QUIERES", "AUTOMATIC SUN", and recently "BURNOUT".
The Warning do not come from a family of musicians, however, their parents are huge fans of classic rock.
Both parents are professionals (recording engineer and dentist) and they enrolled their daughters into a private Catholic English Bilingual school Liceo de Monterrey, Mexico.
They also started the girls with classical piano lessons at ages 6, 4 and 5 years old.
Regular family functions included gathering around the TV with popcorn and watching LIVE concert dvds of legendary bands like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen and AC/DC.
When their parents got them the video game Rock Band at ages 8, 6 and 3, they went nuts playing it obsessively. Shortly thereafter they got real instruments with lessons from professional teachers: and the rest is history. Amazing they are 24, 22 and 19 years old and have already written, arranged, and released #50+ original songs (not including the remaining songs from the upcoming 4th studio album).
Drummer Paulina writes around 75% of The Warning's songs. Most of her songs begin in rock ballad form; starting with a concept, then chord progression, melody and basic song structure on the piano. She may only have a verse and a chorus when she brings it before her sisters. Together they transpose each instrument's part and "rockify" the song. They complete any lyrics, bridges and any arranging, etc. making changes along the way. A 2/3 approval vote of each instrument's part and each vocal harmony before it becomes a completed song. Paulina has said if not for her sisters, her songs would be different. Both guitarist Daniela and bassist Alejandra write equally great songs; just not as many.
Drummer Paulina recently won Drumeo's 2023 Rock Drummer of the Year and won Best Up and Coming Artist in Modern Drummer Magazine's recent reader's poll.
I was fortunate enough to get to meet them after their show January 16th, 2020 at The Whisky a Go-Go in Hollywood, California. I had the opportunity to meet with them 3 more times during the 10 shows I attended on their 2022 North American MAYDAY Tour and 2023 ERROR WORLD TOUR. I have talked with their parents on 2 occasions and have had many conversations with their manager Rudy. I am going to see them again October 8th in Pomona, California and again October 9th, 2024 VIP M&G at The Bellwether in downtown Los Angeles.
And just yesterday I got to see them again as they signed my copy of their new album KEEP ME FED at Fingerprints Music in Long Beach, California.
Aside from their music, they are just normal, sweet, intelligent, and fun-loving young ladies who are truely grateful and endearing to their fans.

Great reaction! Their 4th album dropped today, which is remarkable considering they are 19(bass) 22(drums) and 24 (lead guitar) they all sing and are classically trained from a very young age on piano. Oh, did I mention they are sisters? They also dropped a new video for the first track on their album Keep Me Fed called Six Feet Deep. Daniela, Paulina and Alejandra are very talented, humble and kind people that write their own music and their super power is live shows.
