The Warning is almost a fairy tale.
One day Euterpe was in a good mood and said “since I am very happy, today I am going to give inspiration in abundance to someone”. And he looked out into the world and he saw three girls who were playing his favorite game called Rock Band. And he told me "I like how they play". And he sent them the divine breath and covered them with talent and grace. And she told them: "I warn you that if you don't play well I'll take away your talent." And they said yes, we will do the best we can and so we don't forget we will call ourselves The Warning.
And before the age of 20 they already had 3 albums with only good songs. None is bad.
These three girls are not going to make history.
    They already did it.

These amazing sisters counter any disadvantage of being only a three piece by using harmonies as almost another instrument. They enunciate so clearly in English…and yet Spanish is their native language! On top of all that, they’re the nicest, most humble young lady’s you’d ever hope to meet.
    Happy 21st Birthday, Pau!

Very well said. I think the last part is the most important, they're such great people that you can't help but wish them well.

They are all so versatile as well playing various instruments that there is no disadvantage that I even notice. One thing that I feel is not talked about enough is how good Ali is on bass, she is simply outstanding and so young. You are on the mark Randy about what seriously good young people they are.

Although all three of them collaborate on the composition of their music, Pau is the primary lyricist and the instigator for the drum track and the basic riffs. She either composes using a piano in their livingroom at home or a midi keyboard plugged into her laptop. She creates a rough demo and presents it to her sisters. The process continues from there. Thgey all play piano, BTW. Ale (the bassist) and Dany (the guitarist) also play saxophone, though as yet they haven't incorporated that into their songs.

I think you would really enjoy Revenant. This one is sung by Pau and has some of the best use of vocal backing I have ever heard. There are a couple of points in it where they literally use their vocals as instruments. The entire song has such a haunting feel to it.
As has been stated by others, these sisters have such a wide range of styles in their music with no two songs sounding alike, yet they have created a sound that is absolutely unique and unmistakably their own.
In my 63 years of life I have never been so into a “new” band as I am The Warning. I have seen them in concert and can attest to the sentiment of the many other comments that they are impeccable live.

So, here I am in my 70's and I find I've actually become a The Warning fan-boy. I haven't been this consumed by the pure talent and raw energy of a new group since another new group of talented musicians I became a fan-boy of a while back now - that would be a group of lads from Liverpool you might have heard of called The Beatles. I indentify as a member of The Warning Army and I'm anticipating Warning Mania - having lived through Beatllemania a few decades ago. They share the same marvellous song writing, outstanding musicianship, stage presence and innovation as those four lads that started the British Invasion in the 60's. Give some of their other songs off their most recent album Error a listen, you might be even more pleasantly surprised. I think Choke, Evolve, Martirio, Animosity, Money, Z, 23, Amour, Revenant and Breathe are all really good. Maybe the Kool Aid Kids is their weakest song, but I feel crazy even writing that because I love it and listen to it and include it in several playlist. After you hear at least 2 more songs from their current album, you may want to pause and jump back in time to 2014 to see their viral cover of Metallica's Enter Sandman. The bass player Ale (short for Alejandra) was only 9 years old at the time. Then come back to the future and watch their upgraded spectacular cover of the same song for Metallica's Black Album 30th anniversary special. This is one of the best and most creative covers I've ever heard. Their version may throw you off at first.

Little sister Ale (on bass) is also an excellent singer but she's extremely shy and prefers to only sing backing vocals. However, she will sing lead if needed on nights when Dany or Pau are sick and need to rest their vocal cords. It doesn't happen often, but Warning fans love it when Ale sings lead. I second the suggestion that you react to the song Martirio. It's in Spanish but it's an EPIC song that really demonstrate the power and range of Dany's voice.

I had to smile by mentioning the "it-factor". Normally you (as a listener) could be jealous about each of them. They're pretty, they sound great, they know what they doing ... but! You tend to forget that this IS hard work. They spent years in building up their instrumental-ability. I'm pretty sure they do spend this an that hour in the gym. Just saw this and that picture about it.
It all seems so easy - so natural ... It's just like a craftman who is doing his job with an ease someone can only do when he learned it for years if not decades.
Just have a look at the youngest one, Ale - she was behaving almost a bit shy, she stands (in the past) a bit behind her two sisters. But recently she is getting a bit rid from that behaviour. This does not make her a stage-beast like maybe Dany (the oldest) is, but you can see how they are just using it. They are not only hard workers - they are also great observers.
The Warning is indeed great. But it all comes from hard work. I don't really know if you can call it "work" cause they don't look like they're working. They're more looking like they are having fun. But well, who says that work should not be fun?
This year they're travelling to Europe. I know that they'll be welcomed with open arms. But there in the deep area of my brain something tells me they should also take care of themselves. I know they want it I know they do have fun. Their power seems unstopable. But I know - it is not! Soon everyone will reach out for them. They'll be presented as the new teenage rock sensation (well - they are!). But I hope they choose wisely and say "No" from time to time. Even a power-trio needs to have some rest from time to time.

They just finished playing 4 shows in Mexico opening for Muse, literally their musical idols. Matt Bellamy is part owner of Manson guitars is having a guitar made for Daniela. When they toured with Lzzy Hale, Lzzy walked on stage during their set in Irving TX and presented Dany a white Gibson "Explorer". Lzzy had Gibson make it with the same set up Dany has on the red and black PRS she plays with. Those are the short stories. There is a bit more to each.
My suggestions for the next TW videos for you to consider:
The first is from 2020 when TW performed in a live virtual charity concert event, De(Tour) in August during the COVID lockdown. Lzzy Hale performed as well and after seeing this performance contacted the girls saying she wanted to take them on tour, which she did this last summer / fall.

Careful AJ, got told off by Mark Lee for saying Matt was making something special for Dany. Being that it was a Patreon release. Dany is so careful to say not to release or share video's on their concert and aftermovie special, but I looked at all their tour vlogs on Patreon and she says nothing about not sharing. Needles to say I deleted my post. But please keep yours up, their are so many people who can't afford to spend their money on Patreon, it would be nice to share a little bit with them. Peace.

It's interesting what you noted about incorporating the "h" sound in the "oh oh oh" part in the middle, how Pau starts it and Dany and Ale pick it up after. This is also the part of the song where Pau is starting to take over the lead villain role from Dany, the Disciple rising to become a leader. So it makes me wonder if that was actually a story decision and not just a style decision. FYI, the song is about people using social media to spread misinformation, conspiracy theories, etc. Dany starts the song as the villain who is spreading the misinformation, and Pau is following and repeating her every word, then the next verse Pau is stepping up and becoming the primary messenger, showing how misinformation spreads and grows. So that part you talked about could be a story element to show that they are now following her lead.

Yes, seen them live is phenomenal . They only had half hour in Rock al Parque 2022 in Bogota, Colombia and the transformation of the public, the mosh pit, was incredible and unexpected. Also the lives of Disciple during their tour posted around You Tube confirm the energy and attitude they project to the public present. Greetings from Panama

Thank you for another great reaction to The Warning. This band is absolutely infectious. I also have to agree about how you talked about their energy. I love their music and listen to it all the time. The video are also just amazing but nothing can beat seeing these amazing ladies perform live. Sometimes the videos don't do it justice but I would like to give you one recommendation. This is from the Dallas show while open for Halestorm. You really could listen to any song but If you start at the 7:15 marker they will just be finishing their song Z and getting ready to go into Queen of the Murder Scene when Lzzy Hale comes out and presents her with a guitar. Was a truly amazing moment and one I got to be there to witness. Here is the link to the video ua-cam.com/video/8IHozYQK0yY/v-deo.html

They are nonstop hitmakers. Most of their songs start with Pau writing the core melodies and lyrics on piano, before the band finishes the song together. Having seen interviews and behind the scenes footage they also seem to be very sweet and genuine people. They are the whole package, and very worthy of their success and the support they receive.

Oh dear Bethany what have you done? You’ve only gone and opened the honey pot 😂 this is the best rock band in the world, end of! I’ve been watching their progress since 2012 and it’s been an absolute joy watching them grow! There isn’t one track you can pick that could fade into mediocrity, they are all so good and different, but there is a common theme in that the lyrics refer to life and times in today’s world. Your analysis of this track was excellent, I always enjoy the detail in your analysis!

Thanks, I’m not a singer but I learn to think about in different ways with your breakdowns. This is such an awesome band and so diverse. No two songs sound the same. This is one of their most explosive songs. I think you’d find something interesting in any song of theirs as they are all brilliantly composed with meaningful lyrics. Great to hear your reaction.

I saw The Warning on tour last year with The Pretty Reckless and Halestorm. They could ABSOLUTELY hang with Taylor and Lzzy. They're rock stars and I told my friend on our way back from the show that I give it 2-3 years tops before The Warning take over the world. Going to see them with Plush next month (Note: If you like Halestorm and The Warning, you absolutely need to listen to Plush. Moriah is a powerhouse)

I'd love to hear what you think about some of their other songs. Since you are The Vocalyst, I'd really like to see/hear your reaction to Choke, Martirio, Money, Animosity, 23, Revenant, Breathe, Amour, Evolve. Feel free to go through the whole album. If you enjoy those, I think they have great songs on their previous album Queen of the Murder Scene that would be right for channel as well. I was going to just suggest Dust to Dust Crimson Queen and The End (Stars Always Seem to Fade), but really the whole album might be interesting as well. I wonder if you can hear the difference in their voices from their previous album to their current one. This band is more than a bit hypnotizing and addictive, so I'll most likely listen to anything you cover from them. Official music videos, live performances, live studio sessions.

I always enjoy watching new people discover _The Warning_ , particularly those who have actual musical training and knowledge. While this is of course an "official music video", and thus the sound is a studio track... well, these sisters are, in a word, unique in modern rock music in that in addition to their own native abilities with their instruments, they don't "write" songs. They _compose_ them. Every nuance, every key or timing shift, every switch between who does what - it's all carefully worked out and planned before they ever let anyone else hear what they have created. And then they go over it again, after hearing the input from their closest team (including their parents), before ever putting it in front of a "professional" like a producer... and then they polish it *again* .
The end result for a live performance thus tends to sound pretty much exactly as one would hear it in the studio... only more so. Which is not necessarily a bad thing. Not at all. They can and do swap out who sings lead depending on who needs to rest up during a heavy tour rotation, but they already know each other's parts intimately before they ever enter a recording studio, so it's not that much of a hardship for them.
Lastly, one might hear sounds that are not created by the three of them on certain songs... except, they are. If needed, they will record "back tracks" that Pau controls from her drum station during concerts - but the performances of these tracks are all done by themselves. They do _everything_ . Again, since their tunes are so compositional with little room for alteration, the timing tends to be precise enough that she can kick off the track for a song on cue, and have it match up at least "good enough" to a live performance so as to not distract the audience. These tend to be subtle, and "few and far-between" anyway. Most of them is "what you hear is what you get" in terms of their concerts. A (perhaps surprising, compared to many other rock bands) side benefit of this precision is that it makes it fairly simple to film "music videos" with them. Multiple takes of them "lip-sync'ing" isn't an exercise in frustration for the video production team; the girls simply "play" and it just works.

Thank you for this reaction and analysis. Their entire history as musicians is on their UA-cam page and you can literally see that through their childhood they had an incredible work ethic yet still enjoying what they're doing. The passion has remained and it shows in their performances, especially live. And their voices have indeed come a long way, but you tell that even as children starting out, they weren't holding back.

Actually the one with the deeper voice is Ale, the bassist, and yes, she sounds like the one with the highest voice at the count, but when singing, she’s the one at the lowest register. She can be seen singing just at a few shows, since she doesn’t like to draw too much attention to herself; that’s the reason she doesn’t sing that much, but yes, she’s even some kind of a wildcard, when some of her sisters can’t sing (like being sick), she comes into for the singing.
