@@tljolly18 What if Callum has to destroy both the mirror and the cube to rewrite fate. I don't know why but it seems to be a theme in shows like the dragon prince to destroy things to rewrite fate.
I actually pretty hyped for star magic, perhaps it's because I imagine it being the most mysterious power. Plus if Callum gets a star primal stone spell I imagine it being similar to Kukuru's star ring spell from Flower Fairy.(which I think is one of the coolest spells next to Xaoai's Holy Light.)
Agreed. Nothing seems to limit a person's ability to learn magic besides the person's kind itself. Callum seems to have gotten past that hurdle so the next step is to learn the rest. I guess we'll see in the next season.
I think they should have him master them more slowly. In ATLA Aang was in a crunch to master all 4 elements before the fire nation could take over. So far there doesn't seem to be any external pressure or expectation for Callum to master or learn magic. While Aang's journey to master the elements comes from external pressures and expectations that he resisted at some points in the story, I think Callum's journey would be better served as purely an internal desire of self betterment, one that will take years of dedicated study on his part and must overcome external resistance to his learning. There's going to be some amount of time gap between season 3 and 4 apparently so that can aid in the slow progression of learning the sky arcanum while not being too boring for the watcher. There's going to be a video game to fill in the gap between season 3 and 4 so I hope part of that game will be Callum finding and learning new sky spells to master. Also to keep in mind Callum is 14 years old. It's impressive that he learned something no one else had at such a young age and that leads me to believe as he gets older and wiser he will continue learning and eventually master all the arcanum. I think the only way they could make Callum learning the arcanum lame is if they pull from avatar the last airbender story line and make it so he has to mater all 6 arcanum before Aravos takes over the world or something.
My question is, does the moonstone collar that Ava wears function as a primal stone? It appears to be able to hold illusion magic for extended periods of time.
I have a theory regarding how it's possible for humans to use primal magic. I think humans and elves both have arcanums inside them, but with humans it is dormant. The reason why the elves are born with their arcanums already unlocked while humans are not is because the elves live in tune with the natural world, while humans don't. The lifestyle and mindset of an individual will affect their ability to use primal magic. This is why it is much more difficult for a human to use magic, because the way they live is not in tune with the world around them. A human can still access their arcanum though, but for them to do it they would have to open themselves up like the elves are. They could either do this through extensive mediation or by undergoing some sort of spiritual awakening like Callum did. The older a human is, the more difficult it will be for them to unlock their arcanum and use primal magic because of how set in their ways they are. For example, since Ezran is still a child, he is likely more open-minded than an adult would be, so it would be much easier for him to open himself and unlock his arcanum and use primal magic, which many theorize will be earth for him. I hope this made sense.
It definitely did. And that totally aligns with the world. Callum will now be even more immersed in magic as he enters Xadia so maybe this will encourage him to learn more? And that also explains Ezrans animal connection in a way. Hopefully they expand on this idea in the next season.
I kinda like the idea of Callum being the only human mage we'll see. Because he believes he's not good at anything (other than drawing, probably) and this makes him quite special.
Don't think so. It it was so, Araavos couldn't have done all the primal magics. I like the idea that an arcanum is like a secret and you can develop a connection with it.
technically the four elements have sub skills like how fire can lightning bend earth can lava and metal bend water can blood and spirit bend, air can suffocate
quite a great video rohan, I don't really think we'll be seeing Callum "mastering" all six primal sources due to the fact creating an understandment of an arcanum seems to heavily revolve around mindset and personality and except for air he doesn't seem to have a mindset remenecent of illusions (moon) patience (earth) fury (sun) etc. to summarize I'd say it's very likely he's on the path of mastering the air arcanum, but as to the other 5 we haven't really seen callum interacting with them so who knows really. perhaps if there's a hefty time jump which seems very unlikely considering the tone of the show. ps: not really a criticism but it'd sound much smoother if you spoke a tiny bit faster, i end up listening to it at around 1.25 speed but other than that your videos are amazing

@@computergenius4070 that's what makes him (aaravos) so special and unique, he's not like the other elves, he managed to reach an understandment, not just of his birth arcanum but also the other 5 arcanums for the other primal sources, from the lore books we get to see in the show we do read that elves felt superior to humans due to them not being connected to a primal source. perhaps if it was common to this so called connection and understandment of a primal source to be formed elves and humans would have lived together as equels, maybe Aaravos hid this information leading humanity to depend on dark magic, from what i reckon Aaravos supposedly wanted humanity and the elves to be equals so he offered them a gift- dark magic, and well it ended up going south, to Aaravos's benefit or not, and maybe the dragon king found it out and as punishment locked him in the mirror, who knows really ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It’s incredible what he went through in the end of the season, but I‘m not sure that he’ll connect to all six or master them. He may try though, but realistically seeing him, a human, struggle with one source, is a lot. But at the same time, he is one of the main characters and he has a strong will to learn. So there may be a big solution to how he will connect and be one of the strongest and potential. We’ll just have to watch. Interesting theory.
Thank you! And yea I agree. He had to really struggle. If he needs to struggle this much for a source it may not be worth the others. But yea I guess we'll have to wait and see.
Honestly I hope Callum learns master the other primal sources because to me that would make a far more interesting story. Given Callum's character and his natural abilities the only real challenge will be to understand the each primal source's nature and even that might get easier as he master more primal sources. This could lead to Callum being feared by the elves for potential becoming someone as dangerous as Aaravos.
He used moon magic near the end so he can use other forms of magic and he helped end a war so he might find teachers to teach him the other forms of magic also there may or may not be light magic which would be awesome
He was only able to use moon magic because he used a primal stone which was the necklace. Anybody can use magic they just have to hold onto a primal stone to do so unless humans can actually do it but they don’t know how.

My thoughts, and hear me out, Aaravos is Callum's father. This could make sense, because Callum DID do something that no other person has done, and maybe being related to someone with the power of all 6 primal sources motivated him. If this is true, Callum is, respectively, part elf, and could MAYBE connect to all 6, like his father. In some episode, it said Callum's birth father died, and many people, elves, humans and dragon might accept the philosophy that he is in fact "dead" or trapped in the mirror. Maybe the dragon king, Avizamdum, was worried a human would find the mirror, and use the power hidden inside. We all know Aaravo's power of persuasion, so maybe if he was free of the mirror he could have power over Callum.
Either Callum will learn them all to unlock the key, or he will have 5 others connected to their respected arcanum, he already has at least 2 others, Rayla as moon, Bait as sun, with the possibility of maybe Ez having a connection to Earth, he just needs stars and ocean(possibly Villads)

yes Indeed, instead of the avatar route with one dude mastering all "elements" I would like a fight in which 6 mages or even 7 with dark magic could stand a fight against an "anti-avatar".
At the end of season 3 Calumn learned that he can use magic stored in an object like a necklace to cast spells not directly connected to the Sky Arcanum. Even so, I don't think it would be desirable for any single being to have the kind of mastery over all six Arcanum that Aaravos has demonstrated. I can see how his doing so would have led to a conflict resulting in him being imprisoned ion the mirror.
