I haven't read The Grisha Trilogy or the Six of Crows. I have put The trilogy on a wait list. May not be able to read it BEFORE it comes out.

I understand your concerns about fantasy series, the last one from Netflix was Cursed and it was kinda disappointing, while I enjoyed The Witcher (although some people didn't). Fingers crossed!
From Leigh Bardugo I only read Six of Crows but if I understand well this show will adapt several books? How? I'm a bit confused because I looked at the casting and I recognized several names from (such as Kaz and Inej) but in the same time I didn't recognize the "Russian" setting so it may come from another book... Yeah it's confusing I hope that it's clear for the others XD
The other book that will be adopted is Shadow and Bone, which plays in the same universe as Six of Crows. Though SoC is placed a few years after. However, in this show it will focus on the shadow&bone storyline as well as a prequel to six of crows. So we won't get the actual adoption of the duology but more or less a prequel to it to fit into the timeline. I guess we'll see some flashbacks that occured in six of crows more fleshed out. Maybe how they met? We will see, but I'm curious :)

I watched the trailer and had no idea what was going on! I haven’t read the Six of Crows duology yet and I read the Shadow and Bone trilogy a few years ago. I don’t remember anything except not liking who Alina ended up with in the end. I actually think I’d end up hating the series if I tried to reread it now.
