How to get the "Vulgar Display of Power" GUITAR TONE - Dimebag Darrell (Pantera) - Bias Amp & FX

- Using Bias Amp 2 and Bias FX 2, I show how to accurately get the guitar sound from Dimebag Darrell (Pantera) on the Vulgar Display of Power album.
IMPORTANT 2023 UPDATE - Some users have reported they can't find my presets when searching Bias FX 2. This seems to be a glitch in their search system. To solve the issue, type in the search field "DMO -" (yes, just DMO followed by a space and hyphen) and choose "Sort by Popularity" in the drop-down beside the search field. You should see all of my presets.
Please note many users have taken my presets and created their own versions with similar names. To make sure you are downloading my original presets, my user name in Bias FX 2 is "Dan Oliv". Also, my original presets have a lot more downloads than the non-original versions.

NOTE: Because the guitar tone varies on the album, I created two separate presets - one for songs with higher mids (e.g. "Mouth for War") and one for songs with lower mids (e.g.: "A New Level"). The video explains how to use and download both presets.
Here's the gear I'm using:
. Bias Amp 2 and Bias FX 2 guitar modeling software - metal distortion and Mesa Boogie Mark IIc+ amp simulation with tone matching feature
. Line 6 UX-1 audio interface and M-Audio monitors
. Reaper Digital Audio Workstation
. iMac with Sierra OS
. Dean Dime Razorback guitar (Korean version) with Floyd Rose Special tremolo and Seymour Duncan Dimebucker pickup

Use the Bill and Becky Bill Lawrence L500XL and it'd probably be perfect with his awesome settings, its less ice picky and what Dime originally used and continued to use in the non-Razorback signature guitars, or at least the Dean MLs he had before he got that Seymour Duncan endorsement

When you use bias fx, can you hear the tone through your monitors and play with it in real time? Or can you only hear it after tracking

Yeah you can play in real time, hes only showing what the tracks sound like before engaging the FX, and then what they sound like after turning it on.
After watching your videos I bought bias amp2 and bias fx2. Sadly when trying to do my own tone match using my own guitar, I am not able to get the fantastic results that you get. How much importance do you place on the guitar used for a particular tone you are matching?

Hey man, I used to use your Metallica Tones in biasFX but after i Updated to biasFX2 , they don't sound at all like before, master, black album, justice... etc... they sound very bad with biasfx2..... am i missing somehthing? please help me out thanks
This is a known issue. The transition from Bias Amp to Bias Amp 2 made a lot of the amps sound bad. Good news is, I recreated all my tones with Bias Amp 2 and placed them in the Bias FX 2 cloud as part of my Bias FX 2 presets. Just download again my presets from the FX 2 cloud, and everything should be good. The tone cloud of FX 1 and FX 2 are different.

When you recorded the same part 4 times did you record 1 track and then just doubled that same track 4 times or did you re-record the same part 4 different times
re-record otherwise it's no different from just making one track louder
