How to get the "Back in Black" GUITAR TONE - Angus & Malcolm Young (AC/DC) - Bias Amp & Bias FX

- Using Bias Amp 2 and Bias FX 2, I show how to accurately get the guitar sound from Angus Young and Malcolm Young (ACDC) on the "Back in Black" album.
IMPORTANT 2023 UPDATE - Some users have reported they can't find my presets when searching Bias FX 2. This seems to be a glitch in their search system. To solve the issue, type in the search field "DMO -" (yes, just DMO followed by a space and hyphen) and choose "Sort by Popularity" in the drop-down beside the search field. You should see all of my presets.
Please note many users have taken my presets and created their own versions with similar names. To make sure you are downloading my original presets, my user name in Bias FX 2 is "Dan Oliv". Also, my original presets have a lot more downloads than the non-original versions.

. Bias Amp 2 and Bias FX 2 guitar modeling software - Mesa Boogie Mark IIc+ amp simulation with tone matching feature
. Line 6 UX-1 audio interface
. Reaper Digital Audio Workstation
. iMac with El Capitain OS
. B.C. Rich Bich guitar with Kahler 2300 tremolo and DiMarzio pickups
My guitar medley features these songs: "Hells Bells", "What Do You Do For Money Honey", "Given the Dog a Bone" and "You Shook Me All Night Long".

I'm just confused with one thing: do you change anything in you knobs (tones or volume) to record the other layers, or just record them with the same settings?

Thanks for the positive feedback. I use the same setting across all layers. But I record the guitar parts four times for a rich stereo sound. See my "Black Album" tone video for a full explanation.

Very nice preset! Have u tried to check if it works for people who do not own Bias AMP but only own Bias FX?

Bias AMP is for creating and tweaking amps then you import it into FX to use, its not required to just use the amp.
@@vurplex3082 really? There are many preset made that sounds only white noise and the common factor was made with amp. When I get my guitar back I will try this one

Hey DMO, when you record your 4 tracks, do you adjust the EQ for the other 2 to get a much more full sound? If so, what do you adjust?
What you're saying is common - some bands do that. But with my recordings and these tones, I just record the parts four times - same EQ settings in all four.

Am i crazy? A search in Bias FX Tone Cloud gives me "No results" for 'dmo back in black' - what gives, bruh?
Do you have Bias FX 2? The tone cloud of Bias FX 1 won't show the tone. You'd need Bias FX 2.

I saw the audio interface you used when LINE6 UX 1. Are you using the BIAS standalone version? When I use LINE6 as the audio interface, I always prompt that the driver is broken. Which version of the driver are you using? Thank you
I was having issues at one point with my UX 1, so I tried different driver versions on their download page, until I found one that worked on my computer.

You'd need Bias FX 2 to download the preset (not Bias Amp). The amp is part of my FX 2 preset.

@@rafaelquaseguitarrista5827 That's weird. I can see the preset ok when I do a "dmo back in black" search. Have you tried contacting Positive Grid to find out what the issue is? They're great at customer service.
How do you get the DMO back in black amp?
The amp is part of the Bias FX preset. I don't have it separately in the Bias Amp cloud.

I just did the new Bias FX 2 updated and still don't see it. Is it named DMO Back in black or something else?
@@Thescurvynave1 That's weird. I just looked at it, and the preset is there. The tone cloud of FX 1 won't show the preset, but it's part of the FX 2 cloud. If you type "dmo" in the search box, you should see all my presets. I know you'll need the standard license of Bias FX 2 to download it. I'd contact Positive Grid if you don't see it. They're great at customer service.
dmometalguitar I’ll look again I have the professional tier. What is it under low gain, crunch or high gain
