That Cemetery Gates tone is absolutely unbelievable.
Yeah it is. Holy shit.
jakeSINbernhard I heard the lyrics when he started playing 😂
Reverand
Goosebumps all over...
Wow just spot on for modeling
Ola: I’m mostly a rhythm player.
Also Ola: *starts ripping Dime solos*
World Known same except I can’t solo :/
He's just a good rhythm player lol
@@leopardslaw7716 Ola is killer on solos now too.
Big props to Dime’s long time tech, Grady, for his memory and knowledge of dime’s tones and allowing his knowledge to be used to bring those tones back to life for the rest of the world to enjoy
Jesus.. that Gates lead tone is f'ing PERFECT!
Look at Ola's eyes man. You can see it's not just perfect, it's as though Dime did what Dime does and produced that masterpiece
I've got so many goosebumps on Cemetery Gates that I think they will last until Sunday
Man that sounded SO good.
I just left a similar comment. great minds eh? :)
same..
Dude saaame
SUNDAY DON'T MEAN SHIT!
Wow. So much closer to Dimes actual sound then anything else i've heard.
@@wickedmajestic8100 Very true, I just pray they never replicate his fingers in plug-in format. My old lady would steal my hard drive and dump my sorry ass.
me too
Matt Taylor agreed ... has that solid state bite .. killer tones
all those "sound like Dimebag" gear videos and this plugin is just immediately the most accurate Pantera tones ive ever heard.
Damn, I think I just grew a red beard listenting to this. Sounds fucking great, man!
What thats insane
You're everywhere, still your fx-less solo still has the best tone ever
@@Jorzef2 lol thx
Rudy Ayoub Marry me.
Rudy Ayoub No homo tho.
I know bro
That Cemetery Gates lead tone is perfect. I want it.
Really hope Grady does a ‘Far Beyond Driven’ pack!!
I want a The great southern trendkill version
@@brayanlopes5222 same
Brayan Lopes Used basically the exact same rig for that album
I hope he does Vulgar Display Of Power and Reinventing The Steel too.
@@l04d83 "God I hate Metallica for making you."

This is the closest I've heard any type of "dimebag tone" equipment come to nailing it. Very impressed. Also your playing is killer my man
That cementary gates intro solo gave me goosebumps, great interpretation
AlejandroRasmussen7 feelin it in my spine
Holy shit, that really sounds like his tone! That’s incredible! Amplitude has some sort of audio genius working for them or something! Holy hell
Visceral Abomination yea it's called Grady champion lmao
Thanks! We have been modeling gear for many years and we also (as noted below by @kranktone ) worked very closely with Grady and the estate to make sure this was authentic as possible. Glad you like the job our audio geniuses did!
Hello, you did an incredible job with this Dimebag Plugin.
May i give you an idea for another Addon?
In all Amp-Modelling Devices and Plugins available today, nobody modesl the famous Tom Scholz Rockman/ Rockmodules.
I'd love to have a VST which models this Rockman/ Rockmodule Sound.
Please consider my ideas!
Thank you
Maybe dime is like a ghost in the machine now
JSG1138
They went to the place where he was shot with a ghost busters back pack and trapped him in a USB drive, and then they distributed him in their plug in all over the world 🌎
If Pantera ever tours again, I would pick you to fill Dime's shoes!
sounds nothing like Dime. Kidding. It sounds so sick! Great video big man
I was actually about to be like wtf are you talking about . . . . But then I read the rest. Lol
haha gotcha!
I mean we all teared a little when he played gates clean right?
I did@@Stephen_Eee
😎🤘👍
Holy crap you sound so tight Ola. Your devotion for Pantera really shows here. Congratulations, take care.
That sounded so gay bro
Holy shit it sounds so close to the real thing, a lot of people dislike dimes tone which i understand but to me it's like the pinnacle of metal.
they hate it because it's hard to replicate.
Why do they hate it?? What is there to dislike about his tone?? I've always felt he had the best overall tone fore metal. I don't get it..
@@marcorodriguez7694 because it’s so crunchy,it almost sounds like a chainsaw… I love it and so do a lot of people, but a lot of people don’t like it
Finally one software company made the exact sound...
it would be cool if IK Multimedia does a Metallica package. Tones from all albums.. That would be huge
I'm waiting on this, since I can't get biasfx to work
Inside the Mesa Boogie collection presets have a preset called "Puppets Master"
And inside the metal pack, have 2 presets whos called "Gritallica 1" (probably based on Cliff's bass tone) and "Gritallica 2" based on Dave's guitar tone (1983-1991)
If you have Bias FX and Bias Amp, dmometalguitar on YT has a ton of videos on how he got old school metal tones, and I’ve gotta say that man is a genius with bionic hearing. He did Kill ‘Em All, Ride the Lightning, MOP, AJFA, the black album, Load/Reload, and they’re as close as can be.
I'm pretty sure on the Mesa Mark IV you could get a close tone
I love the Cfh tone and all but man if you're looking for tone Far beyond driven is unbeatable.
T H I C C C.
Agreed
you'r P I L E the great southern trendkill fot the win
@@user-qw8yw6sf9w Yep that's a close second.
Great southern trendkill is the monster of all guitar metal sounds. Best metal album in history.

@@goatsurgeon Yeah. Wyoming. I was on a ranch there for a brief moment. Most brutal cold I've ever experienced. That wind...geez!
4:52 Bro, that was spot on.
I have never heard a more accurate tone emulation in my life. A lot of these I can't tell the slightest difference. The clean tone not so much but goddamn. And this Dudes playing is spot fucking ON
3:11 THAT FAAACCCEEE
Psycho Oladay! 👍
Vulgar Display of Tone.
Ola the Jukebox from Hell. 🤘
Great Scandinavian Trendkill
Dude, I got the chills hearing some of the riffs with his tone. I know Grady helped make this so it was gonna be legit. Still to this day the best guitar player I've ever seen.
I think Dimebag would be thrilled and honored that a fan and fellow beast of a guitar player after all these years his riffs live and that they are still of legend and myth. Amazing once again Ola.
Damn Ola you've definitely done your homework on pantera's catalogue. Sick playing man
Ola actually did grow up listening to Pantera among other bands and probably had it nailed by the time he was 16.
teriakamoto Ola is a decent player but I bet he’d be the first to say that he hasn’t even gotten close to nailing Dimebag’s playing
Heresy is so underrated of a song that riff kicks so much ass man
That Cemetery Gates clean is killer, same with the dirt sound. Every time I hear that intro, I think about Dime being gone and it is sad. It's great that his legacy lives on because he was such an awesome guitarist. He was a funny dude as well, always into some type of debauchery. RIP Darrel.
What I like the most about this video is how Ola is genuinely having a great time.
Glad to see Amplitube is still relevant
AmpliTube's been here for about 16 years now so we're glad people still love it and we can keep improving it for 16+ more! bit.ly/dimebagdarrell_fb
Amplitube is still my go to plugin.
@@ikmultimedia That's all I use anymore. Haven't plugged into my regular amps in a few years now.

Looks like happiest Ola Englund of 2018
Dude, I'm gonna say this and I don't care what anyone thinks.... When you played cemetary gates opening clean riff, it brought tears to my eyes... You are one bad ass player man...
That Cemetary Tone is SO insane!!!
Watch Ola’s fingers... He makes Cowboys From Hell easy to play, unlike Rocksmith, making it more complicated than it needs to be.
It Is easy... lol
Which it is
Visceral Abomination it IS easy lol
Ola's not in the right position its played at the 12th fret but i have no idea how its tabbed on rocksmith so they might both be wrong.
kingdarko
I dunno 🤷🏻♂️ if there’s a right or wrong- I’d say whatever is easier for the player. Same notes, same octave, it’s all good.
I like to play it at 12 too, and the A power chord I ply with my middle and pinky on E 5th Fret instead of juggling the open A chord
That “The Sleep” solo is one of my favourites solos and you absolutely nailed the vibe of it! Let’s just see if you can do that ascending portion near the end of the solo ;)
eeeeehhhrrr no thank you lol :D
Sounds killer. I always loved Dimes tone. I don't understand why so many people consider his tone terrible.
Cough (soyboys) cough.
I just dont like how scooped it sounds, I like something more akin to Eddie's tone off of vh 1, mids make a difference to me, and alot of other people, it's mostly just his cfh stuff I dont like, and it sounds alot better in a mix, but I dont record enough to have a guitar sit in a mix often.
Because they love Metallica (post Master of Puppets).
Carlos 22 is there something wrong with and justice?
I've never heard of anybody saying his Tone is terrible
His clean tones we're out of this world, I always loved his cleaner tones
As someone who owns MOST of his gear, this sounds pretty damn awesome! I may have to induldge for a cover or two in the future!
Dude, I was hoping you'd say that.
I'm a fan dude your covers are badass.
Hey man nice to see you in here!
@@OlaEnglund Hey dude! I didn't even realise you were aware of my existence! haha. Oh, I'm always lurking here and there :) I've been up to date with your Dime amp videos, good stuff! /,,/
@@DomicidalCovers dude your videos are the bomb.
I loved Dimebags tone. I lost my shit when he was killed. He was my ultimate guitar hero growing up. Thank you so much Ola for loving Dime so much! I have already purchased my Solar guitar, and having this in common makes me even more proud to be an owner of your amazing instrument!
It's a pleasure to hear Ola playing dimebag with that tone.
Dimes harsh treble distortion was a great compliment to the thick bottom end of the bass and drums! All by itself, it sounds low-fi, but in the mix... it sits perfectly!!
Wow!!! Sounded and played amazing!!!!! Thanks for Everybody for keeping the legacy alive! Getcha pull
Sounds really good! Very close!
Stunning, did not expect that!
Sounds amazing! Great playing Ola!
Dime was the best. Thanks, Ola.
Damn dude, why would anybody want Zakk to do a partial Pantera reunion tour, get Ola to do it!!!!
Wow! great playing Ola
wow love love love the tone of this plug in. Your such an amazing player! Dime has been in my thoughts since his passing, thank you for keeping his memory alive!
This is the closest I've ever heard anyone not named Dimebag get to his album tone. I've watched plenty of people, including you, mess around with the actual amp and gear he used on the albums, and even that didn't get as close as this. The mix at the start of the video was spot on to the album sound. My jaw just dropped. Great job.
If you blindfolded a Pantera fan, and played that intro clip to them, I'm convinced most people wouldn't be able to tell the difference and they'd think it was just an HQ Remaster of the original track. Jesus, so good.
May have shed a tear during the Cemetary Gates parts... Bravo, sir.
Amazing tones... and amazing playing! not sure if i have seen anyone get as close to it as you just did sir... Thanks for this video
Absolute kick ass job! Thanks for keeping Dime's spirit alive.
What's so cool is that when the post-processing is turned off like you did at the end of the video, it sounds exactly what I remember the RG-100 randall amps sounding like back in the day when I use to play though one decades ago in a metal band. That brought back a lot of great memories.
To see dimebags tone finally get into every young (and old) musicians hands is awesome,he would of loved this being the generous soul that he was
Sounds amazing! The presets are perfect. Great demo Ola, perfect mix of rhythm and lead examples. Too many people do one or the other in demos.
Great job Ola, awesome job pulling those old riffs out. The suite sounds spot on and I wish I had this years ago. That guitar is a beauty also. Much respect.
So much respect for your work! Dimebag will be always around because of people like you. Cheers from Brazil
When you opened up with Heresy I was convinced that it was the actual track. This is coming from someone who listened to CFH multiple times a day for like 2 years throughout middle school. You blew my mind with the tone and how precise you were able to pick like Dime. Great job!
That was cool watching you play all those killer riffs sounds great too
Your love and admiration of Dimebag is great to witness in all your videos!
I like having the real deal amps but damn this is killer
Connect it to an Amp......
@@emilianosg8385 how?
Elliot Knight well, you can get IRig HD2. It will let you connect straight to an Amp.
Real amps are super cool obvs, but spending next to nothing in comparison for amazing sounding sims is a value that I personally believe cannot be oversold. The technology is AMAZING!
I was waiting for this! This thing rocks!
DIMEBAG LIVES. Great tones and great playing Ola, it's a pleasure to see your videos
I love that you always do Dimebag stuff ....
I honestly never even consider purchasing anything demo'd by "anybody" regardless, but..between this, The Fortin products and your Solar Line..one finds it almost impossible not to! Cheers Ola!! I too miss them both. Metal is not quite the same without them.
Dimebag is my hero and u are one of the only ones who can come close to his style. Thank u for keeping him alive bro. We need to keep the spirits of the AWESOME still around. Thank u bro
Gave me chills...the tone is spot on!
Love every second of this video. Well played. 👍That cemetery gates solo sound. Wauw. I was back at the concert I Copenhagen in 94. There was thick herbs in the air while playing that song.
So it's official. Ola finaly nailed Dime's tone
Congratulations Ola, we are very proud of you! You gained Pantera's recognition! 🤘❤️
Really fun to watch you play all the killer riffs of cfh
Sick tones Ola!
All things considered whenever you've done a Dimebag vid you've got pretty close to the tone. This on the other hand is a whole new level (see what I did there!). It is literally CFH and so long as you got the chops to play it right its as close as we will ever get to hearing the man play. Hell even at the end when you started playing Demons it was pretty nailed on.
Would love to hear this in a full band cover with yourself, Leo and Delta...
This is the closest emulation of Dimes album tones I’ve ever heard , just amazing well done ik multimedia
Thank you, we also have Grady Champion and the estate to thank for helping us nail these tones and do it right.
Man the tone sounds spot on!
Hey Ola, always good times watching your videos, but when it comes to Dimebag, you always raise the bar. Thank you!!
Hi, Ola! Thanks for another interesting gear-testing video! I should also give credit to the developers` team of IK multimedia for making this incredible tone suite replicating the sound of uncomparable Dimebag Darell! These tones are so authentic and well-sounding that this video has inspired me to buy these preset pack together with Amplitube 4 plugin and record some Pantera covers with these tones. R.I.P., Dimebag - you and your music will never be forgotten! \m/
Real Dimmebag sound ...awsome Ola...\m/
And as always, nice chops, ola!
wow sounds pretty identical!! amazing !! thanks for testing it out
almost worth it just for the Gates clean.
the problem with his tone is its so obvious its his because its unique (good or bad) so if you were using it you'd just sound like a Dime rip off. but that Gates clean could be used in any clean passage and it sounds amazing.
I dig it
Anyone Else Tear up during that Cemetery Gates Solo.
Yup. Not a hard thing to do tho...
Threw up the horns. Rest in Peace DD
Man, it doesn't matter how many years have passed, anytime I hear one of Dime's solos, it just overwhelms me with so many emotions. I still vividly remember that day I was given the horrible news. RIP DD
The intro is what got me tbh
Yup
Sounds killer!! You rock Ola! R.I.P. Dime
One of the best reviews up to now
You rock Ola. RIP Dime ❤
Rip ola
Oh man I was waiting for Phil Anselmo to appear at any moment. Love them! As usual, great demo Ola.
Incredible tone and playing
Thank you Ola! Ive played for 12 years and i have been in a rut so long plus i broke my wrist and im sure will be limited the rest of my life (i can still play just not the same AT ALL) and seeing others share my passion for father dime is really cool. Ive never met in person anyone that loved dime as much as i do but now i know it could be you! Thanks for pushing me to improve
4:47 - 5:47, I got sawdust in my eyes!! Screw you Ola for making me feel. I love ya, you're awesome!!!!
The sleep.....his best solo
I like how you could see how much fun you had with it.
I got goosebumps when he started playing Cemetery Gates ...sounds very nice!
When you were playing The sleep, i felt that.
"Sounds like on the album!"
Happy Ola ;D
Very authentic sounding. Really cool
True no one can play like Dimebag but brother you bring it so close to home! Thanks
