Pub Camping Etiquette

We take you on a “pub crawl” around NSW, and explain the Country Pub Camping unwritten rules. We have stayed at almost 100 pub camps in our time, and love the community feel about them. If you have never stayed at a pub camp before, you should gain confidence to camp at a country pub or three on your next caravanning trip!

We have stayed at only a few pub stays but can vouch for the fact that the better the pub or the company, the more expensive it ends up costing to stay! 🤣 But as you say, you meet a lot of people at these places who are always up for a chat. That's the true Aussie Spirit of "mateship" in action at these places 😀

We “retired” from motorcycle touring and took up caravanning. When we were riding we used to stay in country pubs whenever possible.
Now when we are on a longer trip we would normally only “eat out” about once a week and mostly this corresponds to a pub stay or a low cost camp in proximity to a pub.

Exactly. Apart from making this UA-cam, we only usually stay at pub camps about once a fortnight. We love it, but it can blow the budget 😅

Most pubs are dog friendly for camping (check with each particular pub) As for eating, dog owners are usually accommodated in the Beer Garden (again, check with the venue)
