"My mind was focused on having a pie" So my question is - do they have beef and burgundy pies? I guess having a 22 year old 4x4 removes all those kind of weird issues caused by excessive use of electronics and computers in more modern vehicles..

Check your battery in the fob. If the fob is stored too close to the car, it's always connecting to the car which drains the battery
Thanks for that tip, but there was more wrong than a battery. Ford replaced the camshaft position sensor. All good now 👍

Not sure about beef & burgundy ….. sounds good though! Yeah, vehicle mechanics sure have changed over the years.
My Ranger every now and again does that, I do the same, get out and double lock the Ute and then open it, and everything works again.
Ended up being the Camshaft position sensor
