Those pilots should be given a big hand of applause. I think landing an Airplane is hard work but in situations like in this video is a huge test to the pilot. It really tests how genuinely good they are.

Really nice clear video. Looked like an easy day by Madeira standards. Not one go around. When that crosswind gets up, you should see the aircraft dancing in the sky..
Ahhhhh Madeira! That reminds me of madira cake :) I landed there once, temporarily flying for TAP, Then i quit TAP and emagated to US, and started working for Delta, living in NY, a few years later I moved to Atlanta and continued working for DELTA
I'd love to have that perch where you were filming from. I could sit there and watch these planes all day! Excellent filming, including those planes that were flying high above you!
I went on holiday to Madeira 50 years ago. At that time the runway was only half as long and did not have the extension. It was a BEA Trident aircraft which handled like a jet fighter. I well remember seeing the runway perched on the side of a volcanic island. The pilot managed it and nobody said anything.
Excellent video!! Brings back memories from Christmas 2010 when I flew to LPMA in a TAP 320 and many airplanes diverted to Porto Santos or to Lisbon due to the winds.

Its a vera safe AirPort. I've lande there many and many times. The wind is a kind of a problem, but only trained pilots fly there! And most of all is a paradise island!

I love watching these pilots feather these planes in. Clearly a lot of wind and a stiff cross wind.
Great video! This is the perfect angle to catch the landings and corrections for the gusty wind.

A daring port for landing. I like the Airbuses here more than the 737s. And the pilots are all great!

Agreed. I have no use for an airbus. This was a good day for Boeing and a dangerous day for Airbus.
