Was fun seeing your pretty pin cushion's Liz. Been enjoying the joy of needlework now for, l say 45 years now, mostly the Cross-Stitch. Loved your little stitch area, all your supplies you need for the cushions. Thank's for showing, Hello from Carolann in Minnesota ❤🤓 Joy of stamping too, see Deb., does too.
Thank you Liz!! Hope to see you and Deb back soon!!!! Miss your videos.
Thanks for the overview of your pincushion finishing technique. Your work is lovely!!
I love all your pincushions, they are just lovely. One of these days I’ll have to take the plunge. Very fun video, thank you.
Hi Liz: I use loads of walnut shells, I buy mine at a pet supply store it is not as dusty as the craft store type, and a bit less expensive, it is used for lizard bedding.
Nice video thank-you for sharing.
Have a wonderful 2023
Catherine
Thank you, Liz. I really enjoy your tips and tricks.
Such pretty pincushions! 🧵🪡✂️😊
Really like the pin cushion 📌📍🧷📍📌
Thanks for sharing. I love your pincushions!
Thank you for sharing this video with us so helpful have a wonderful week and happy stitching 😊🧵🪡🤗🤩
Awesome stitching and finish you done!!❤❤
Thank you Liz!
Thanks, Deb. This was fun. 🤗
Thank you Liz for this informative video. It was so good to have the fillings explained. When you are new it can become confusing watching various videos and wondering which one to chose, I now see the relevance of weight and softness and brilliant to know I can use a combination of both. I am now on the hunt for those wooden forms here in the UK.
I enjoyed your video very much. I have missed you and Deb, hope to see you both very soon.
You can get crushed walnut shells at pet stores too. It’s called Lizard litter. When I use crushed walnuts in my pincushions I make a lining. A downside to walnut shells would be if family members are allergic to nuts. I recently used sand in one of my pincushions and I liked the weight of it.
Thanks for your tutorial, you're finishes are so pretty.
Hi Liz! Thanks for sharing your expertise! I have never finished a pin cushion. I think I will give it a try. Hubby walked by and he thought they were muffins or cupcakes....lol. I think it may be time for an eye exam...lol. Have a great day!
This was great information, Liz, thank you so much!
Thanks for the awesome demonstration
Thank you Liz! You are so calm and self assured. It’s encouraging for those of us who may feel intimidated by finish work. Your suggestions were very helpful. You are a great teacher!! 🥰
As always your very informative in a way I can say I can do that. Thank you for Liz for sharing!
Hi Liz, I haven’t tried making a pincushion yet but am really excited to try. 🥰 Thanks for sharing!! 🙋🏻♀️
Thanks Liz! Great video!
Great video Liz and great timing also. I, just last week, purchased some batting to go with the walnut shells to try making a couple of pincushions. I was excited that day to find a 1940's pewter shot glass thimble and thought that would be a fun one for my sewing room. It says Just a Thimbleful and was only $2.
Beautiful finishes
Great video.
Thanks for sharing.
Marilyn
Wonderful!
Thank you for such an informative video. Where did you purchase the preformed pin cushion wooden bases?
Thanks, Liz! Have not made one yet but want to very much.
I still have to make a pincushion, but your tips will help me a lot. Thank you!
love the tutorial. I have collected pincushions and now started making them. I love the weight of playground sand.
I recently did a pincushion with sand and I like the weight of it too. It’s heavier than walnut shells. I made a liner inside just like when I do walnut shells.
Thank you Liz.....enjoyed the video and may even try and do a pin cushion.
Great tutorial.
I love pincushions and have started to collect them. You can never have too many. Thank you for sharing and showing your lovely pincushions and handywork.
Have you been reading my mind? This is so timely. Many, many thanks.
Thanks Liz for your video in how to make pincushions! I have several small finished pieces and diff objects that could be useful for making pin cushions. People always ask me what am I going to do with my finished pieces? Well now, I can make some pin cushions and give them away as gifts!
Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us today! Marilyn 🧑🏻🦰🇨🇦
Lovely pincushions...I've just finished all my tomatoes and a bunch of red velvet strawberries. Have 3 needle books in finishing stages and then will cross-stitch a series with all red small birds to make more. There is something so satisfying in making a pin cushion!
I'm a collector of pin cushions. Some I made, and some that were given to me.
Hi, I also collect pin cushion. I love them. Smiles cucki x
Such a wonderful video Liz!! I really enjoyed watching you! I too love pincushions!! I've made many myself as well over the years using those old Antique spools you can buy as well as smaller bowls similar to the BBD Designs you made! If I see anything I can use for a pin cushion I buy it. Your BBD is beautiful as they all are! I love them! Thank you again for taking the time you spent showing us all your ideas! Take care Liz!! ❤️❤️
Wish we could find those forms in the UK. They are beautiful
Beautiful pin cushions. Thank you for sharing so much information. You and Deb are so inspiring with all you do.
Absolutely loved this, so informative. As I’m in the uk, to actually see the items that sadly are not so readily available and can be called something else this is so helpful. I do hope you do some more finishing tutorials. You girls make my day.
So much fun, thanks Liz!
Thanks so much for sharing !
Thanks you for taking the time to show us this! :)
Beautiful pincushions!
Thank you for a great tutorial so much fun to watch
Thanks so much for making the time to demonstrate this finish technique! ❤
Love learning all about your expertise. Thanks so much for another great video.
Thank you
Love seeing your pin keeps! I learned that biscournu was a thing from watching you and Deb. Do you have a suggestion for a kit? I saw beautiful patterns but very elaborate stitching. I'm hoping you'll know of a more moderate stitch for a first-timer (biscournu crafter, not first time stitching). Thanks Liz!
Thanks for sharing Liz. You make it look so easy! Great tutorial.
Thank you Liz for sharing all your beautiful pin cushion. Happy new year to you 💐
A very informative video, Liz! Thank you for sharing your expertise.
Love the acorn pin, it is so cute!! Your pumpkin pin cushion is adorable, so creative.
What a great presentation. I’m going to try my own finishing ❤
Really enjoyed your video. Thanks so much Liz and would love to see more of you doing this type. Pincushions are beautiful !!
Great video Liz...your explain things so well. I'm ready to start making a pincushion now!
Thank you, this was very interesting, and reassuring too! I think I may have to make some of these!
I have a bunch of little baskets and will use some for pincushions now, great idea!!
I did my first biscornu last year & I am hooked! I will definitely try the Jeanette Douglas pincushion patterns.. Thank you for sharing your time & talents! You & Deb are lovely to watch.
Nice info & tips. I liked the green trim with red beads. Pretty work. I like the forms, can't get much easier. Thanks!
Thank you for showing this. I received one of those baskets and had no clue what to put in it. Now i have a finishing basket too!!! ❤
Hi Liz! Thank you for your video on pin cushions. Yours are so beautiful. I think I’d like to try making some for myself which I’ve never done. I hope you have a great week! 🌟
Thank you for the pincushion tutorial. Time for some FFO at my house. Happy Stitching 🧵🪡
❤❤❤
Hi. I’m new here. Will you share the name of the pin cushion bases that already are filled and how to order them? I love the candle stick idea. You have give me several ideas. Thank you for sharing your talent. Liz, Florida
Thank you Liz. I was watching a video of Deb’s crafting space and I fell in love with the pincushion on the pedestal. It looks like a candle holder base to me. Then I see yours in this video and I just have to try my hand at it. I have a marble or jade candle holder that I think will be a wonderful base. I have casually collected pin cushions and patterns to make pin cushions so this video was great. Thank you.
Wonderful! I bet that will look great!
Your pincushions are beautiful. Can you tell me where you buy your little wooden bases.
You inspired me so much I just made me a little pin cushion, I had a mini cross stitch I did a few days ago and had a basket just like you showed at the beginning of your video,I love it, I would send you a photo but I'm not sure how lol
Oh, this was great! I am in love with your basket! Where can we get one? Thanks so much for sharing🤗❤️
Hi Liz, I enjoyed your pincushion Floss Tube! You make the finishing look uncomplicated. I think I'll try a biscornu. You showed a very pretty one! Where do the wooden ring pincushion bases come from?
🦋🌻🦋🌻
I love you pin cushions. I would also like to know where you got the wooden blanks you used in the demo.
Thank you Liz great video! Can you share where you got your finishing basket? Thank you.
Love your reviews of the pin cushions. Where do you buy the circular cedar bottom holders for ones recently finished??
Thank you Liz for sharing all of your cute pincushions!! You and Deb are always so inspirational!!
Okay, I don’t know where I’ve been, but can any of you tell me where to get the little round finishing piece with the little feet?
The bases, where did you get them? I don’t have a LNS or craft store where I am, so would like a source if possible. Thank you for all this great finishing information.
Do you ever back your xstitch with fusible when using walnut shells to cut down on the dust?
Hi Liz, I enjoyed you video. I do not have a local LNS and was wondering where you buy the premade wood pin cushions?
Where do you get the bases that unscrew? Can a person make their own pins? And if so where can I get the the decorative head? Thank you. Yours are beautiful?
what are the little wooden blanks for the pin cushions called and where did you get them. the ones with the screw in the bottom. i have been searching on line and cant find them,
What is “yes glue”?
❤❤❤
