Pioneer AVH-201EX Radio installation. Thez Nutz Garage.

I will be installing a Pioneer AVH-201EX in my 1999 Ford F-150 and I will also be installing a back-up camera as well. This is a custom install but most vehicles using a factory double din radio this dude be a straight ford swap.

installing the same radio to replace an 05 mustang shaker 500 radio soon. great to see what it does and that nav will work through bluetooth with a bypass. i'm simply putting the chip in as it's a mint mustang with only 84k on it. thank you for the video sir!

QUESTION: the toggle switch for the parking brake, did you just tap into any active fuse or did you actually have to find the line for the parking brake?

My Pioneer AVH -220EX won't play DVD's unless you PROVE that you are using a parking brake. The screen will ask you to set-release-set the parking brake before it'll play a DVD. You could simulate the parking brake by using the off-on switch that this guy used but I haven't tried that. Some heads will play a DVD simply by permanently grounding the lead. Plus I found that my bluetooth wouldn't work unless I provided a ground on the parking brake lead which defeats the purpose of using bluetooth handsfree operation. The bluetooth settings option is disabled until the parking brake lead is grounded, also.
