I don’t use butt splices when I put harnesses together. I personally use pigtail crimps because they’re quick and much harder to pull apart. Great video exo!
I got a 2019 Corolla and the stock radio was so 1980's that it hurts to just look at it. I got a pioneer android auto, new speakers. But, one problem: The dash kit was nowhere to be found... after watching this video and found the right dash kit by American International. Man... huge difference! It looks great! The place I got the radio installed ordered a lot of kits from American International and did dump Metra. Thank you for the input.
Parking break is for your back up cam. Just ground it to a near bolt in back of the headunit. And cam cable goes to the power source if the cam. Depending what cam you get. Just a little help for anyone watching and wanting to know the rest of the info exo is going to make the video about

I don't blame you with editing. Editing is a pain in the butt. New subscriber here. I actually just got finished with my system install. I went with Blaupunkt, and JVC. My system hammers pretty decently and screams loud n clear w/o distortion. I do need to add a sub for sure.

I don't think I'd dare to do it myself, I am afraid I would blow up the car, (all those wires!!!) and besides, I don't have all those tools, much less the aptitude. I would just like to let you know that back in 1976 I install my first pioneer 8-track and also amplifier and a pair of pioneer coaxial speakers which was about the best you get back in the day then. It sounded great. Believe it or not I could pull up in front of the Shell station turn my radio up, turn on the amp and my speakers in my system would make the glass go in and out of the Shell stations big front glass panes. Well the station manager was there at night one time and he saw his front glass panes vibrating in and out , he kind of got upset LOL! Well I just wanted to let you know I was bass freak and a audiophyl back in the day still am today.. Now I have me in Tahoe and I'm retired so here we go with the new system. Dam as always came out clean I get you with the stock radio I hated mine with my kia same with the stock speakers I ripped it all out cause it sounded so bad. Now it sounds way better and cleaner although im on one twelve now cause I blew the rest 😢
Friend of mine sold me his pioneer 5800 touch screen installed it and its so much more powerful even with the 4 amps already installed... then my transmission went out... Fml... nice vid though !
Another excellent video man. I'll be paying attention for the next one because I have a radio similar to this and I play with the settings. But I'm not certain if I'm doing it right. I'm never completely satisfied. Plus I want to see what you're working with in terms of your subs and amps.
Hook the park brake up to a toggle, and ground it. Then when you wanna play a video you engage an disengage the toggle, screen pops up with the ok button for u to hit to watch videos while driving. Tricks the radio into thinking parking brake has been engaged. U have to engage and disengage with like a 1 sec pause in between.
I have the same car. I installed a pioneer double in with apple car place android auto. I used original brackets and the scoshe front face. Perfect fit. Replace the aux with a usb adapter in its place
Instead of JB weld to make a stronger instant weld use super glue and coat with baking soda. The reaction makes the super glue instantly turn extremely hard with great bond and also heat resistant. I do this all the time I even fixed cracked radiator fan on my trailblazer over a year ago and still perfect!
Listening to the way you describe the proper way to install it in the bracket reminds me of my last install. It's funny that the proper way is a time consuming sob. and takes are considerable amount of effort as opposed to doing it the wrong way which seems way easier but it looks like crap
Wish it was this simple for all cars, I drive a mk3 ford mondeo pre face-lift and although it had a large factory headunit, the hole is very slightly smaller than double din (post face-lift have a different design) and very careful cutting was required to make the Sony double din fit the dash. I had to cut all the way to the edge where the gloss finish starts top and bottom but leave a border of the original matt surround on the sides, it was a very slow job to make sure that it looked as close to factory as possible, one mess up and I would have had gaps but managed to get clean tight fitting lines by taking hours to do it.

I just watched all of your videos about your Rolla sound system build and my goodness man you are good all that wiring just had my head spinning. I have a Corolla myself in I've wanted to upgrade my system for a long time in U inspired me to use the same speakers but I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to all that wiring stuff so I don't know if I could do it myself. And all of the retrofitting you had to do for that head unit and the speaker rings and the endless wiring. Excluding the the sub and he amplifier for now what would professional installation for the four speakers the 2 tweeters and the head unit and the wiring cost roughly do you think on average? What are your thoughts on just buying one of the pre made wiring harnesses for those android double din units? I'm Definitely gonna get those speakers for the rear deck and the doors And ill swap the existing tweeters for good measure with the same brand. Did you finish this build and give a final video of the whole finished product or did you just stop?

hey EXO, a tip for bolts that like to fall, to put them back in, put a piece of paper over the socket end, jam the bolt in. Very clean install my man.

Make sure you update the radio from pioneers website. I had to do that with my wife's radio like that.
