I think the choice of Star Allies for Nintendo Music also has to do with the music itself. The Star Allies soundtrack is much larger and contains several songs from previous games. It acts as a sort of hall of fame of Kirby music.
Forgotten Land also *just* recieved its soundtrack release at the end of September 2024. It wouldn't make a lot of sense to have it on Nintendo Music so soon after the album release (and unlike Scarlet and Violet which had its OST release in February, it's not such a big deal to where they *need* to have it now)

i think they may have also picked star allies for its "bang for your buck" nature in terms of the sheer volume of tracks, many of which were pulled directly from older titles, to sort of fill in those gaps for the time being (why they didn't just launch the app with a more robust lineup, i mean... it's their m.o.)
The bang for your buck on representing past games works in favour of MK8D too. The music of all classic courses represent the full series with just the single game. Extra observation though is they did not do this for Splatoon 3 despite the game including past games’ music within its jukebox. Reason for this is likely that it’s relatively simple to add the full Splatoon trilogy as individual soundtracks. Much simpler compared to (despite how cool the idea is) adding all the Mario Karts, or adding the every single one of the dozens of titles featuring Kirby.
@dimensiondetective The thing about Nintendo Music is that a lot of it is based on OST releases. Star Allies' OST includes the songs from other games, if Mario Kart 8 Deluxe were to receive one (and it still might) it would definitely have them. Check out content creator channel Nintendo is not your friend. If you own a switch you know all these things are true from a consumers point of view
6:52 AC and splatoon isn’t just the same studio it’s the same developers that’s why the games always take turns
I've examined the credits in a different video. The core programming staff is almost completely separate. There's still some overlap, especially in art and music, but less in recent years.
This is the most enbarassing music streaming application ever. Launching with only 20 albums and setting up for a dripfeeding of albums for years to come rather than making the service ready from day one. Brainless.
Can you show us how a streaming music app is done? People are curious.
@@DontKnowDontCare6.9 when Apple launched Apple music its library rivaled spotifys catalog from day one. within months it boasted exclusive content. 30 million songs from day one. Spotify had been around for years at that point and apple showed up and beat them.
@@DontKnowDontCare6.9 imagine if Apple launched their music platform and said "we're gonna add one (old) album a day to our catalog starting with 20". Whole world would laugh.
Its actually great sorry you are so wrong today
@@bradbradson4543 have fun getting dripfed music lol.
I think we're entering another Nintendo flop ear. All of these choices feels so...off. The Switch 2 leak was already the first fumble.
that feels like a really hot take 🤔
i feel that many are keeping there subscriptions because of the music app, plus we have a new console around the corner, and a lot of anticipated games coming.
is there any specific reasons you are feeling that this might be a flop?
@@EtanMarlin the usual "i don't like what i see so it must be their fault and everyone else must feel the same as me" take on the internet
@@EtanMarlin if i had to guess, it's probably fear of a Wii/Wii U situation. Nintendo doesnt usually do sequel consoles and if switch 2 is retrocompatible some people may not see it as neccessary
@@PNats-fg4bw oooo that makes sense i wasn't even thinking about that
The "Switch 2" fake leaks you fell for?

please stop with the "x% chance" it's cringe
loved the video, the editing the visuals the audio. my biggest gripe is the autistic "im x% sure this is gonna happen by 2025". like what does that even mean??
Did you really use autism as an insult?
