      You don't need to join motor trend on demand, if they real wanted to be greedy they would just stop with UA-cam and just use their website. Plus there are other shows, movies, and documentaries on MTD.

      ***** They're already sustaining them selves via MTOD. So much so that now Roadkill is a separate entity from Hot Rod and Motortrend. The reason they're still on youtube is because they aren't scumbags.

    I realize Carlos left and came back, but I'm sure you can find him a better job to do at MT. This isn't bad but we all know Carlos has great literary skills to convey how a car feels like (courtesy of 100 episodes of Ignition). He's the more mature version of Camisa.

    I would love to hear Jonny Lieberman's Prius Rant. Here in Maryland we have the second highest density (and I do mean dense) of Toyota Prius's and the highest density of Sienna's. To them, 43mph is Indy racing.

      I thought that when the Prius first came out, then I drove one from Sacramento to Philadelphia, down along the southern border. I gotta say, it was a totally enjoyable ride cross country. We were clocking high 80s and 90s on those long New Mexico stretches without so much as a hiccup. Sure it's not as exciting of a drive as some ballsier sports cars out there, but it cost under $300 in fuel to go almost 4k miles and the ride quality, experience, and comfort level was great. I think most people just bash Priuses because it's "cool" to hate it. It's become the "Rollerblade" of vehicles for some dumb ass reason. I wonder how many people that are on the Prius hate train have actually driven one for any length of time.

    Ford trucks have the biggest balls. Really though Ford F series from the 150 all the way up to the 450 leaves the competition in the dust. Horsepower and torque are better, towing is better, interior is better and the gadgets on the truck are insane. Mate that with the power stroke and you can pull a train.

    The modern diesels just aren't worth the expense and hassle. The horsepower wars, emissions standards, and time lost for repairs (even under warranty) just make them the equivalent of a 1970s carbureted-emission controlled v8, albeit with way more power. In the free states, people are just ripping the junk off, warranty be damned.

  • @trumbley22
    @trumbley22 7 років тому +1

    Sometimes Johnny needs to figure out when to stop talking. He's talking about why nobody should buy a truck with the 6.2 gasoline fueled engine. Not everyone wants to spend the $7k+ for the diesel option and increased upkeep when the 6.2 (which is a great engine) will satisfy their purposes and still has a ton of power. Stick to European garbage, Johnny.

    Prius drivers are something else. I can't believe how many of these cars are the worst drivers on the road. How did they get a certain type of people to all buy the same car!! And drive it so horribly. I saw a woman get on the freeway with one last night like a bat out of hell (strange for a Prius so naturally it coughs my eye) she over steers right into a bmw 5 series and dents her rear bumper. He's car looked fine. But they pulled over and had words then she gets back in car and drives completely insane again!! 🙈

    The rotational force (torque) may be greater in an F350 but you both know that they Veyron weighs a fraction of an F350. With that said, physics dictates that there is less of a drag force (drag forces move in the reverse direction) and hence why you see better speed and acceleration on a Veyron. Come on, peeps, don't try to bullshit your crowd because we know you should at least have the basics physics knowledge to figure that one out.

      Peter Griffin some people need a truck that can tow 30,000 pounds, take private car haulers for example. They haul 4-5 cars on a trailer across the country, they need a truck that has a bunch of torque and can haul a large amount of wait. Now on the daily driver side, a truck like that f350, are very safe. They are big and heavy and they are very safe. The ride is very comfortable and some people drive one every day based on personal preference.

    Speaking of the F-250's gas engine, imho it's the second-best engine Ford makes, after the 5.2. But it's also the best engine Ford doesn't make. Design-wise it's just another set of camshafts away from being the most powerful production N/A V8 ever made. Ford has a bad habit of never really doing anything with their best engines.
