I love this beanie and think it will be my first project. I recently started crocheting again, I made blankets and throws in the 70's, so basically I'm a beginner and you made this look so easy. I found your channel a few days ago and love you and your content so much. Thanks for sharing this cool pattern.

@@imogeninnit Hi! If you’re making a beanie for adults then it might be like a ball of yarn and a little bit of a second ball of yarn. I haven’t crocheted a beanie yet but I saw a comment of the creator saying that her first ball of yarn ran short so she used a second one to finish the beanie. If you’re making a beanie for toddlers then I think a ball of yarn should be fine! :D

      hope this helps :)

Just made this. “My experience no hate I appreciate this as a guide.” So if you have a large head 23” it’s going to be 36 rows. BUT I did the length of around 11 in or chain of 27 and it’s a perfect guy hat. Def should be longer for women unless you like the style of a shorter hat.

You can customize the amount of rows needed for your own head. As you add on rows, check to see if the first and last rows stretch to reach around your head, once it’s large enough you can seam it up ❤️

i love this but is it optional to not do the 7 slip stitches in row 2 and the other rows after it? sorry if you don’t understand i don’t know how to explain it. if i don’t do it would it ruin the pattern?

You don’t necessarily have to do them but if you don’t your hat will be pretty bulky at the top when you close it up since it’s bulky/thick yarn

If I’m using thinner yarn, like a bulky?? Do I need to chain more ?? To make it wide enough to fit around someone’s head ?

No the chain is how long the hat is.

@@lyricsornah9882 is this why on another beanie it was super super long bc I thought the chain was the circumference around my head

Do you have a written pattern for diff size. You did 7. You start with 24. This could would not be constant. It’s relative. WC ch 30 would have diff number for the pattern.? Thanks

How did you end up with 26? I don’t understand how we went from 24 to 26

Hey! Between row 2 and row 3, after you finished the last slip stitch in the row, did you chain one first before turning your work and resuming with the full row of HDCs? I am following your tutorial and it's been very helpful so far, but I'm confused on whether or not you chain one for every single row before turning your work, or you do that just for every other row. Thank you!

Yes always chain one at the start of your row, especially before you start your hdc!

I didnt add them cause i considered that you had to add one only on the other rows the larger one. And my hat looks great didnt make it wierd so if ever you make the mistake like me its gonna be perfectly fine.☺️
