Every new software has that one guy who does a better job of helping beginners understand how to use it than the creator of the software. This man is that guy in the Plasticity3D community.
Is there a way to to create one gear and circle cut it out rotating at the same time from another block ? therefore having the ability to create custom gear sets (not just a gear) because the gear might have unique property or a unconventional form.
@@Pixelfondue most simple example i can make is a worm gear, where i design for example the screw, after designing the screw i would create a round disk and rotate the screw and the round disc 360 degree around at the same time (2 axis movement) Here is a animation of it: ua-cam.com/video/S0iRsAEkF4Q/v-deo.html , the purple part is designed by hand, the pink part is the disc where the cut out is made.
@19:20 your revolving from the shape but I'm completely baffled as to how you do that. My revolve is all over the place, either to large a revolve or in the totally different direction. I'm really struggling to understand how the Revolve command works. Even your earlier small tut had a revolve command which I ended up frustrated with.

Amazing, you make it look so easy. Thank you
Glad you liked it!
You simply the Best! You the reason I purchased it!
Great to hear! Enjoy!
As I watch your video I can feel my brain changing my understanding on how to create 3d shapes.

When you revolve you click and then 'swipe' to define the axis - like you're drawing a straight line. Does that help?
@@Pixelfondue I'll try that when I'm back home & let you know. Thanks for replying 🙂
