How fun visiting another castle & beautiful garden & landscape as you take us along! Thank you! I loved seeing the castle, hearing its history & the classical music, & seeing the beautiful gardens. Thanks for sharing the names of the plants, etc. Long ago I read a Christmas Victorian novel about Grey Cholmondeley, heir to Brackenhurst Manor. Your visit to Cholmondeley castle brought back memories of that lovely novel. Thanks again! 😊

    What a treat!
I feel ive been transported across the world to a magical place with so much history.
The gardens are so full, even in late summer and such magnificent trees.
So nice to hear you say the genus or species names of the plants.
I wouldnt have had a clue about the name of the castle.
At least it wasnt in Welsh.
    Bori-da. Jo.

Thank you, glad you enjoyed it. We’ve just been to Pontcysyllte Aqueduct (did a short) and I can’t even begin to pronounce it, we were told it’s pont kus surth tech but I’m not sure that helps! 🤣

Another enjoyable video - history and gardening combined ! Funny that you should point out the Choisya Dewitteana. I bought a C.D. 'Aztec Pearl' recently after seeing it in designer Emily Erlams garden, planted next to her patio window - included at the start of her own video. I am removing some David Austin roses out and replacing them with all the new plants I am discovering.

Yes, it’s a lovely shrub and less common than Choisya ternata which is everywhere, including my garden! It got hit by the frost last year and is regrowing but perhaps I should replace it with dewitteana. Just goggled ‘Aztec Pearl’ and that looks lovely. Thanks for watching

Great video, full of information and lovely scenery, thanks for sharing. Enjoyed the different trees that you showed in your video. I really like the garden tours you are sharing. Are you going to Wisley's flower show in September?

Thank you so much. I’m not going to The Wisley Flower Show, although I would absolutely love to, unfortunately it’s a bit far and I have to work. It is ridiculous but I have never been to Wisley, I really must make it a priority next year.

I just love it when you take us on your castle excursions... who knew history could be such fun! I was all set to tell you we have major Aspens and Sequoias here in the states, when you said you had been to Yellowstone. So cool that you came to see them. Enjoyed this very much... thanks.

Thank you, glad you enjoyed it. I went to Yosemite National Park when I was much younger and probably didn’t appreciate it as much as I would now, but I do remember that the sequoias were huge and very impressive.
      Many thanks for watching

Also, Jenny, could you identify what the LARGE leafed plant by the path to the Folly & by the water where the quintet was playing is called? I believe it is the same plant in various locations…

Oh sorry I didn’t reply, missed your comment! Yes, the plant I think you are referring to is Gunnera manicata or giant rhubarb, they like moist conditions and grow well near ponds
      Hope that helps

Hey Jenny - No worries. Will add this plant to my “wish list” of plants. The list grows every time I watch😊. I so appreciate you typing out the names of the plants you talk about on your UA-cams. Thanks again!

What is the plant with the huge leaves at timestamp 17:01 towards the very end, please? It is gorgeous.

My apologies, I remember replying but perhaps I didn’t press send! It’s Gunnera maculata or Giant Rhubarb. It loves wet conditions and makes a very architectural plants but it is big! Rheum palmatum or ornamental rhubarb gives a similar look for a smaller space.
      Apologies again
      Jenny

No worries whatsoever. We have a daughter with 10 acres in Florida and a pond. It will be stunning there.
