Beautiful roses. Thanks for sharing. I’m trying out a climbing David Austin rose called Teasing Georgia. I’m unfamiliar with climbing roses , so Im looking forward to learning more about them. Let’s see how it does in my garden.

Very good video. Thanks for taking us on your tour. I ordered several David Austin bare root roses. I can’t wait to get them. I ordered all very fragrant ones. Blessings to you and your family 🙏🏾

Thank you for your kind comments. I have just recently planted my bare root Desdemona roses and I’m in the process of editing the video - so watch this space! Blessings to you too

What a feast for the eyes, thank you for sharing that! Yes, Desdemona has been on my list forever & was going to mention it but thought it might sound a bit coy since it “goes” w my name 😂. But it truly is a gorgeous rose & the scent sounds lovely. Partly why I went w Iceberg is bc it gets larger every year, flowers profusely & repetitively. But the petals do fall off easily & make a mess. Congrats on your purchase, hope it grows well for you. Hi Murphy! 💗🐕

Yes, I’m delighted with my purchase. We didn’t see any Iceberg roses there or perhaps they just weren’t in flower but I know that it’s a climbing Iceberg at Sissinghurst garden in the white garden and although I haven’t been in person, the photos of it look fabulous. It was the smell of Desdemona that decided it for me! I will get bare root in the winter although I have managed to get twelve cuttings and I’m taking great care of them and hoping that they take.
The Ballerina roses look lovely in the herbaceous borders (tried a sprig) and I’m quite excited about moving them. I think I will have to remove a lot of soil in the parterre where they have been to avoid rose sickness, hopefully because they haven’t been in long it won’t be a problem.
Thanks for your comments, it’s very helpful getting your advice and opinion 😊

Btw I currently have The Generous Gardener climbing Rose & Desdemona in my cart, bracing myself for when I hit “place order”, shipping is prob going to be $$$!! But so worth it!

The Generous Gardener is gorgeous, we bought one earlier in the year as a gift. I think you must have a Desdemona as the name is so apt for you - blow the cost and treat yourself!!!

I do have a Ballerina Rose. I believe it is a climber but it is in the center of my flower bed unsupported. After it blooms I shape it like you shape a boxwood. It is impressive but it took years to get like this. And it only blooms once. I am happy to send you pictures if you are interested but you would have to give me a contact where I could send them. Happy gardening 😍

Thank you, I have definitely decided to keep but move mine and will try clumping them in groups of three in the herbaceous borders. I will do as you say and try and shape them nicely and see how they do. Although it is a lovely rose I think I need something more formal for the parterre. Are yours the pale pink or dark pink colour?
