There are so many amazingly lovely picturesque towns and places in UK. It is livetime to explore and enjoy. We did each weekend trips around where we lived never had enough and have huge sentiment clearly.
IMO the most beautiful town in England is Keswick in The Lake District Cumbria, beautifully clean and has everything you need, great shops, pubs, cafe's and restaurants and just a few minutes walk from the town centre to Derwent Water with stunning scenery.
What a beautiful video. Well done. And, as far as those with rude and hateful comments… you can’t please them all. As long as you’ve pleased those with joy in their hearts, not to worry about those that aren’t happy unless they are complaining. Again, beautiful video, very well done. 🇬🇧
🇬🇧 I know Whitstable and tankerton very well. I wouldn't rate either as worth a visit. Canterbury close by is excellent, and an easy train ride from London, Canterbury is lovely.
Colchester is an extraordinary town and has a village feel and even though the Queen decided to make it a city just before her death it will always be a town to its inhabitants. History and a unique 2 street set up make it a fun town to live in. So near beautiful countryside and coast and yet easily accessible to airports and Europe.
There's so many beautiful towns up north, Scotland Wales and Northern Ireland! As always London/ Southern centric. If you're touring the UK please consider other places. Here in the northeast theres Durham, Hexham, corebridge, Alnwick, Morpeth to mention a few. They have Castles, beautiful buildings, charm, lots of history, stately homes with beautiful gardens, place to visit for Harry Potter fans.
I see a lot of comments like this here and while I agree a lot of tourists only spend a few days around the London area, so those places will be much further than the ones in the video
Beautiful but really wish you’d either mention each town’s name more than once or use a text box. Many names are unfamiliar for those of us not from England. Please 😊

Strange how this vid came up in my notifications! I lived in the heart of Cirencester for 14 years before moving to Italy. I also lived in Whitstable for a year and a half. Amazing to see places I know so well and love 🤗
Good video with some beautiful Southern English and Midlands towns covered. Please rename it as such though. England includes the North which you don't! York, Harrogate, Beverley, Hebden Bridge, Whitby, Bamburgh and the jewel in the crown: Durham are just as beautiful as those twee Cotswold towns, probably more so!
I can't stand the Cotswolds! They must have been nice when Real people lived there. Now it is just a middle/lower upper-class dormitory for London, swarming with brain dead tourists. The places are so managed they look Fake, like a Dick Van Dyke/Disney vision of 'England'
Of course they are, to say nothing of the Lake District, Suffolk and Norfolk, Yorkshire Dales, North York Moors, did anyone mention York? And what about Edinburgh and Glasgow. Why is it always about London and the South. Visitors, I implore you, expand your horizons when you visit the UK, you'll receive a very friendly welcome the further North you come.
Thank you for this beautiful video. You've shown everyone some lovely cities, towns and villages. One suggestion: Most people I know pronounce "Salisbury" Sorlsbury, not Salesbury. Of course, English place names are a pronuncation minefield. So often they don't follow the standard rules of English pronunciation, which are pretty lax anyway.
It is pronounced SAULSbury but why all the fuss about it in the comments? Even Brits do not pronounce *every* British town correctly. My friend lived in a little Derbyshire village called "Crich".. ("Cry-ch") Anyone who didn't know it pronounced it "Critch".. but people chuckled about it rather than moan!
It's not 'Sailsbury', it's Salisbury - pronounced Saulsbury. If the speaker cannot get such basic piece of information right, it causes me to wonder how well researched this video is.
Talks about the cathedral and fails to mention how it’s got the tallest spire in the UK and houses Magna Carter. He’s obviously never been there, he’s just found an article online that names these places and has turned it into a video.
Can not believe you can nitpick the video, I live in South Africa where the Comunist government has turned every town and city into a gheto, what you have is absolutely stunning no matter how you pronounce it my friend.
How refreshing to watch a well-made video showing the beauty of a place, and without a talking head getting n the way. Meaningful information too, not shallow or silly 😊
Whitsable, are you having a Turkish me lad? 11 miles along the road there is Sandwich, the most unspoiled medieval town in the world. or 6 miles away, Canterbury> The rest I agree as I know them all very well. The Slaughtes by the way, villages not towns
Also live in Whitstable here, way too overpriced, food is average, too many holiday homes I agree, Sandwich is a really nice town and everything that Whitstable used to be 20/30 years ago
Live in Whitstable. Sadly being turned into an Airbnb dump. Far too many properties now second homes and holiday homes. Locals being priced out. And it's just so busy all the time, everything crammed. It's London-by-the-sea. Been here 20 years myself, but wife born here. People always ask where she's from and are astonished when she says "Here!" They assume these days everyone has moved here, and before they came, we all lived wild on the marshes.
As a local all my life i can definitely agree, Whitstable has been turned from a cosy little fishing town into a BNB nightmare due to everything being so overpriced and the amount of houses being used as holiday homes when they could've been put to better use, I'm glad someone here actually has the balls to say what the town is now like, its nothing like all the newspapers and media outlets make it out to be Fact for you all, just because a celebrity visits a town doesn't mean its the nicest place in the world cause its pretty much now a shell of its former self
Went there last year and wasn't that impressed by it to be honest. Not that it wasn't nice, just not what I was expecting. But, Castellum Pizzeria was well worth the visit! 😋
This is lovely Hal, but you should really consider doing a video on Shropshire, with Ludlow, Shrewsbury and the amazing Shropshire hills at Church Stretton. Most Londoners dont even know where Shropshire is located! Also amazing Wales :-)
I get fed up of the southern-centric tourist view of Britain. The best thing to do is leave them to it and let those who know enjoy the REAL Britain. I lived in Shrewsbury and Shropshire is probably the most 'English' and underrated county. Herefordshire, Cheshire and Lancashire always get overlooked too. Wales is m go-to place. Absolutely stunning scenery.
Thank you for a pleasant video. Southern should be in your title. Absolutely great that there are no northern towns included, as a Yorkshire Lass we need to keep the beautiful northern towns all to ourselves in pristine condition.
I am out of words to describe the beauty of these towns

@@hogwashmcturnip8930 You do sound rather embittered Hoggsie, but I do agree with you entirely! 🤍
@@sylviaroberts8103 not embittered at all! I just found it amusing. In fact, I rather like the tourist sheep staying in the traps where they will be fleeced. Means we only get the class ones! Lol
Totally right, and they didn't even get back to you
Awesome upload, thank you for sharing
It is pleasure to see even. Thhanks
Sooo greenery
This is lovely.
Lower Slaughter is so beautiful.
Please do a video on Wells.
Thanks.
Kings Lynn . Stamford Ely . Oakham all worth a visit
Strange how this vid came up in my notifications! I lived in the heart of Cirencester for 14 years before moving to Italy. I also lived in Whitstable for a year and a half. Amazing to see places I know so well and love 🤗
beautiful video indeed will be watching more😊
Thank you for the lovely introductory tour of villages in England.
Indeed… did you know about a rest of the country that exists north of Worcester?
Il be going to many more places
Actually it's pronounced "Solsbury".
It is pronounced SAULSbury but why all the fuss about it in the comments? Even Brits do not pronounce *every* British town correctly. My friend lived in a little Derbyshire village called "Crich".. ("Cry-ch")
Anyone who didn't know it pronounced it "Critch".. but people chuckled about it rather than moan!
He was definitely pronouncing it wrong. SALES bury???
Thanks for the vídeo. It's absolutely amazing
I may never get there, but truly treasure traveling through your beautiful video!!!
It's not 'Sailsbury', it's Salisbury - pronounced Saulsbury. If the speaker cannot get such basic piece of information right, it causes me to wonder how well researched this video is.
Beat me to it. Not a mention of Magna Carta, either.
I was just about to post the same thing. Very annoying!
@@barrybarnard836 Communist goverment in South Africa? :D Yeah right
I've been to some of those places and I agree that they are lovely. My favourite that you missed is Shaftesbury!
How refreshing to watch a well-made video showing the beauty of a place, and without a talking head getting n the way. Meaningful information too, not shallow or silly 😊
Spot on with Cirencester, a lovely place to be, I had a lovely mini break there. I can also recommend Winchester. Well narrated, thank you.
Your videography is gorgeous!
I'd be surprised if it's his. I don't think you can fly drones in busy public spaces in the UK.
Lovely videos!!!Thanks for sharing it with us.
Amazing! Amazing!
Whitsable, are you having a Turkish me lad? 11 miles along the road there is Sandwich, the most unspoiled medieval town in the world. or 6 miles away, Canterbury> The rest I agree as I know them all very well. The Slaughtes by the way, villages not towns
Yes, I live in Whitstable. Please go to Sandwich instead.
Also live in Whitstable here, way too overpriced, food is average, too many holiday homes
I agree, Sandwich is a really nice town and everything that Whitstable used to be 20/30 years ago
Only been to England one time late 70s Colchester, maybe one day again,,cheers from Denmark ☕️
Wow amazing quality and tour 😍 thanks for the effort you put in this video really enjoyed watching 👍
Looks quite clean characteristic timely love the accent
Lovely cities and great commentary. Makes me want to visit from 🇦🇺.
Live in Whitstable. Sadly being turned into an Airbnb dump. Far too many properties now second homes and holiday homes. Locals being priced out. And it's just so busy all the time, everything crammed. It's London-by-the-sea. Been here 20 years myself, but wife born here. People always ask where she's from and are astonished when she says "Here!"
They assume these days everyone has moved here, and before they came, we all lived wild on the marshes.
yes and hasn't it got an ugly oyster factory on the front...? Lucirously expensive and not great
@@jayveebloggs9057 London prices for everything: property, chips, oysters.
As a local all my life i can definitely agree, Whitstable has been turned from a cosy little fishing town into a BNB nightmare due to everything being so overpriced and the amount of houses being used as holiday homes when they could've been put to better use, I'm glad someone here actually has the balls to say what the town is now like, its nothing like all the newspapers and media outlets make it out to be
Fact for you all, just because a celebrity visits a town doesn't mean its the nicest place in the world cause its pretty much now a shell of its former self
Went there last year and wasn't that impressed by it to be honest. Not that it wasn't nice, just not what I was expecting. But, Castellum Pizzeria was well worth the visit! 😋
@@jamescollar8520 definitely a whitstable surname
I just love England
Love the English country side.
Nicely filmed, but only covers Southern England. Try Richmond, North Yorkshire, which is really the most beautiful town in England.
This is lovely Hal, but you should really consider doing a video on Shropshire, with Ludlow, Shrewsbury and the amazing Shropshire hills at Church Stretton. Most Londoners dont even know where Shropshire is located! Also amazing Wales :-)
Il get round to doing more of England at some point just juggling the time of year to do it and hopefully no train strikes
I spent some time in Ludlow several years ago. I was amazed at how much there was to see and do. Great suggestion!
Yes, I agree..
I just found your channel and is super good, very balanced about what you speak, music, video... Love it. Thanks a lot.
This is a beautiful video. Thank you.
Great information!
Whitstable - spoilt by the abundance of Smokies defiling it!!
Thank you for a pleasant video. Southern should be in your title. Absolutely great that there are no northern towns included, as a Yorkshire Lass we need to keep the beautiful northern towns all to ourselves in pristine condition.
YES!
Really no visitors allowed 😮
The southern-centric tourist bias does get boring, though. Nice town ALL over England.
Excellent video. Five Stars *****
Beautiful. I certainly enjoyed my one visit to England and then into Wales! I have waited too late to return! 😟
"now we all love London". I lived there for 3 year and I detested it. Its horrible.
You should try visiting Abbotsbury in Dorset
Wow
Beautiful!
Hope we come to enjoy these Towns, one day.
