No sarcasm here: As a middle-aged male, I very much appreciate not only this helpful tutorial but the fact that you speak to me like a 4-year-old so I don't get frustrated and break things.

No, I definitely needed the dolphin analogy to fully understand the video, without it I would have been floundering helplessly. She counted four stitches, I wish she could have help up the number of fingers equivalent to four. My only other observation would be I wished she really explained how to tell the difference between the top and bottom of an needle, another fish analogy may have sufficed to explain the correct orientation.

Yeah, it's obvious she teaches this shit for a living. Mnemonics and shit help you remember. Do you complain about the "righty tighty, lefty loosey" thing too?

DrFlox Easy solution. Drill two more you could even try punching the holes with your machine depending on the material of the button this has worked. You sometimes break a needle tho

I'm the type that just does things instead of reaching it. But after years with buttons falling off all the time, I finally pulled myself together and watched this video. I should have looked it up sooner.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for teaching me how to finally do it right!

This was not done correctly - you need to create spacing between the button and fabric to add a shank that actually keeps the button elevated above the fabric. The procedure in this video just sews the button flush with the fabric - the shank does nothing when sewn this way.

Er... You're supposed to end the stitch on two holes, then make another one on the other two, so that if the thread should break, it's not going to lose the button, surely.
