- Get a great ASVAB score by exceling in math. This will allow you to have many MOS’s to select from when you enlist in the US Military. However, you need to put a lot of effort in learning and reviewing math skills for the ASVAB. In this video I will go over a math problem involving basic geometry concepts - you should be able to solve this practice problem if you expect to do well on the ASVAB. Study good. If you pass the asvab and the physical you can choose your rate and swear in the same day. Make everything be nice and swift for when you go. Don't be nervous either, remember at meps when you take your test all the studying you're doing will prepare you to perfectly take the test. Good start early and take it seriously because I personally I didn’t take school serious especially math I always said “I’m not going to need math” then I decided I wanted to join the military and now the ASVAB is my problem.
I havnt been to school in a while and im taking my asvab soon. Got a 70 on my practice but this just opened a lot of memories i forgot i had

Meeting with my recruiter tomorrow and I plan on enlisting as infantry. I don't need the best score but if I like my job then I'll advance into SF or something. This is greatly appreciated as math is my weakest subject.

I have to pass the science section with a 58 or higher but I have to get a 31 minimum overall and math is my biggest struggle along with the word knowledge

Trying learn as much as possible for the math part. The arethmethic part is pretty tricky too, but I think I could learn that a little easier than the math. I remember doing this though in highschool, because it's all highschool stuff but for me to remember is kind of hard. The math is something I would need to do alot.
I grew up in kind of a shitty district where it was kinda of easy to pass but now that I wanna join the military, I gotta take the Asvabs , now it hard for me because I barely know simple algebra , because some teachers didn’t care as much. Kind of sucks , but this video is pretty easy to understand now that I’ve matured a bit , and taking this very seriously!

In uk air force ASVAB. in india AFCAT when I check both exam syllabus are same but in afcat, negative marking and also less time

I personally don't understand the point of this test. I have been interested in joining for the past couple years but I cannot pass the test and personally I don't understand why you have to know this if anything I figured it would be more of a geographical study with longitude and latitude not percentages and mathematical equations that I really don't understand what would be the point of the military

Go ahead and take that third one and see how it comes out. All that studying you did should come in to play.
Would you really do that much math in... let’s say infantry? And what if you somehow can’t grasp it? What if-in a real life situation-you get the math wrong? Or is all the training you need just nailed into your brain until you have it all down 100%?

@@AfroTokyo. sure did and I’m pretty sure I got most of those math questions wrong. just make up for it the other categories, and make sure you have at least a little mechanical knowledge with cars, like what an alternator is and what it does. I remember them asking that one a couple times.

i failed the and gotta wait 6 months also, my 6 months are due in 2 months, literally all you have to do is study for really hard for those 6 months man. Im horrible, like really bad at math, but i put in at least 2 hours of studying a day and became a little better. i currently have 2 months left and feeling ready, what branch are u going for?

That’s not a good score I took my practice ASVAB without studying then studied basically nothing for 2 weeks and got a 46 on the actual ASVAB and the jobs at that score are trash.

Nick Hernandez ya with the 46 all my recruiter said I could do is law enforcement and you do not want law enforcement!!! For 2 years you check gates or just stand somewhere “guarding “ a warehouse or something. Then you can apply to be a cane police or apply to be a police officer I have a friend that is a police officer in the Air Force and he doesn’t like it.
Nick Hernandez but worry about the ASVAB because the night before I went to sleep at 1am and woke up for the exam at 6am. So, I was out of it and I had breakfast at 6:30 and didn’t take my exam till 11. I was standing for 3 hours to take it . So, just make sure you sleep well the week of the exam and eat a good breakfast. You’ll do good don’t worry you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to join the military.
