- In this video I will help you to pass your ASVAB test which is required to gain entry into the US military. We will run through the fundamental mathematics that you need to know in order to tackle the mathematics parts of the test. This video won't teach you how to solve the questions on the test (you need to do lots of practice) but it will teach you the maths and some clever tricks which will allow you to attempt the questions.

@@cheeksonfleek5996 Its not that bad. I only studied asvab for dummies and watched this video and I did completely fine. During the test it felt like I was going to get a bad score but my score was good enough for most jobs

Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my work buddy got excellent success with it.

Some of the examples in this video will be on the ASVAB, but in a more difficult fashion. Most practice tests on the internet and given from recruiters will be harder than the real test. It's good to learn how to do these so you can pass the real test with more confidence.

Our education system is broken, got C’s D’s in all my classes and I still remember everything in this video. Got A’s on all my tests but missed a lot of assignments cuz I’d rather get high and play mw2 🤷♂️
I'll give you a tip. I used to be a hardcore weed smoker until I told myself "is this really necessary?" I told myself I will never go back to weed again and I never did. I've been sober for almost two months now and feel better than ever. Same with video games; I used to rage really bad: I threw/broke my controllers, punched holes in my television/walls, and always pissed off at everything and everyone. I haven't touched video games for over two years now and feel better than ever. Your mind and guts are your most valuable resources regarding decision making. I'm going into my senior year of high school and studying for my ASVAB. I highly agree with you about the education system being broken. It's been broken since smartphones were introduced back in 2007 by Steve Jobs. I go to an alternative school and see major red flags regarding the education system: teachers aren't teaching anymore, they are lazy, disobedient, pushing false narratives regarding what's trending to the internet, while us students have the power to overthrow the education system more than the school board and supposedly "learn" ourselves with book(s) that have no sense or meaning at all without being throughly taught by teachers themselves. I sincerely wish teachers actually put students first instead of how much their paycheck is going to be (for which I've been told and actually heard teachers say that themselves). When will every U.S. state(s) governor will realize that the education system that the school board is pushing isn't working? It's a total disgrace to us (students), working class citizens of the United States, and our entire country in general. Sorry for the long essay, I can't stop about a topic that I'm interested in, I need to do it until I'm fully satisfied with my statement/conclusion. Good day and I hope you do well on your next ASVAB test.

I just personally want to thank you, in my practice exams I was getting 40 percent and I even paid 65 for a course and I barely gain anything out of it. After watch your video, I am now getting 80-90% on each practice exam.

Through out my life of study in my experience I've never heard of BODMAS, but PEMDAS yes. Although reviewing the order of operations that he showed and explained should still give you the same outcome which is interesting.

So at 21:29, what I did was I multiplied 6 by 2 then added the 1 and got 13/2. Then multiplied 2 by 4 then added 1 and got 9/4. So I had 13/2 + 9/4 and got 22/6. Then simplified it down to 11/3. Then divided 3 into 11 and got the final answer as 3 2/3. Where did I go wrong?

So last year I was taking the asavb and when I did take it I miss the whole questions and got it wrong but the recuiter said that I need to know how to add and subtract than I won't get it wrong, and this year I haved been studying the asavb and now ready to take it next year but it been really hard.

P= parenthesis
E= exponents
M= multiply
D= division
A= addiction
S= subtraction

Dude this is so helpful at first I didn’t understand you, had to figure out your sort of formulas myself but just do a little explaining next time. Oh and for those of you wondering “BODMAS” different regions use that formula like Europe I’m assuming he’s from that continent.

I refreshed ON formulas foiling dividing/adding/subtracting/converting/fractions equation solving, this and that, but still get tripped up on 💩 like Jane leaves her house driving at 45 mph. Thirty minutes later Dave notices Jane forgot her phone and drives after her . How fast must Dave drive to catch up with Jane 3 hours after she leaves?

On the last example problem of the inequalities section, wouldn't you divide the -4 by -1 rather than multiply?
I took the pre test today I know you have to take it online and with time limit. Also the office was a bet noisy not sure if that part of the test training challenge

My calculus teacher taught me that with order of operation multiplication and division goes together so it didnt matter which went first and same with addition and subtraction

For adding the fraction 1\4 +1\2, you could have just multiplied the numerator and denominator by 2 in the 2nd fraction. Then you would have come up with 1\4 + 2\4 = 3\4 (much simpler). Time stamp @ 18:32.
I'm sorry 4:26 i am still confused on why you divided by 5? ok so ya i get the .2 is equivalent to 1/5 because that just 20/100 which is yes 1/5 but now why divide by 5 is my question if someone could help that would be amazing thank you !

Had to check this -- Speakers of British English often instead use the acronym "BODMAS", rather than "PEMDAS". BODMAS stands for "Brackets, Orders, Division and Multiplication, and Addition and Subtraction". Since "brackets" are the same as parentheses and "orders" are the same as exponents, the two acronyms mean the same thing.
I always learned P.E.M.D.A.S (pleas excuse my dear ant sally) which makes Multiplication come before Division?
