THE MOST FRUSTRATING INVASION I HAD SO FAR IN ELDEN RING DLC

- Elden Ring DLC Invasions are mostly quite fun, especially because everyone is experimenting with new content, but sometimes you end up with old issues looming over what otherwise could be exciting PvP experience.

DESIGNED to be FRUSTRATING... oh wait wrong channel
The audacity to t-bag at the end after Steel finished fighting a small army is insane.
This made me feel pure unfiltered rage and I'm not even the one playing.
Hi drunk had fun participating in jolly co-op with you on last nights stream
When aren't you frustrated or crying about something. Does it give you flashbacks of talal n co. Stomping you repeatedly. Or any other group that isn't only there for pve.
I miss chainsaw villain arc era steelovsky
Should do a leatherface cosplay
Serpent Hunter bug right ?
Chainsaw still exists
DLC❌
Ganker patch✅
They weren't even using DLC weapons... yet. I can only imagine what's gonna happen when they start using it.
Legit not buying the dlc till it‘s on sale and until we got a couple more patches that make the game more sensible.
Still no int/faith infusion while the new staffs and the catalyst weapons have the worst scaling with low damage even when fully upgraded with max stats.
So annoyed at even more plain as day magic armaments STILL just being glorified str/dex weapons with D scaling in their respective magic requirements (int, faith and arc).
Not to mention ghostflame weapons being pure int and still having no synergy with ghostflame spells that need faith.
@@zawarudo8991 Dude, I feel you on the Ghostflame business. The synergy between so many spells and associated weapons has been off since the base game came and the DLC only amplified it. Two new DLC weapons directly associated with Ghostflame and they are STILL dex/int. F you Fromsoft for your hatred for int/fth builds in Elden Ring.
@TheTurt Feel this 100% I came into the dlc as an int/fth build praying we would get better support. At least we got Rellanas twin blades.. int/fth has been my favorite build through ds1-3, shame it's in this state for elden ring. Next dlc... copium
@@zawarudo8991 bro you cant understand thr levels of despair i felt after seeing the dmg from the max catalyst weapon........ The only explanation is that its a meme weapon.
Hey Steelovsky, there is a talisman that is essentially blessed dew talisman but for magic bar. right next to it is a fist weapon that has RANGE called the Pata. it is in the Church of Benediction just behind the starting area.
no teammates in an infinite 3v1 is my experience with the dlc so far
That's just elden ring invasions in general dawg
Almost like DLC didn't change the fundamental problems with the game, or something..
more chaos
don't y'all love how Miyazaki keeps making things more unfair for Invaders
Some Hosts are just... "Special."
Most*
Watching this was actually infuriating
o boy i cant wait to see gankers spamming the new sunwarmth stones, sacred blood flesh and the new consumables stuff the dlc is bringging
Does he know of the blessed blue dew talisman?
Imagine if you could only summon phantoms at bonfire, it would fix resumon (both against pvp and pve. Host can just wait at grace and when is all clear or phantom dies he does the funny miyazaki's vision thingie)
No, this wont fix this problem.
That will make things arguably worse.
You will have gankers only playing at bonfire.
Also, you can just block their friends mid invasion, that will prevent re-summoning.
@@streptococo4735 ? You can't invade someone sitting in a bonfire/grace bud. Im talking about the menu, otherwise I wouldn't even speak of pve. I just said it because you'd have to sit and respawn all mobs like seamless coop
Can't kill host if you run away after any slight disadvantage.
Did Steel switch to PC? The connections look way worse than usual
Do you mean in general, or just this video?
@@thecandyman7807 In general. This video definitely had the worst of it, but every invasion video he’s done since the DLC came out feels like hits take half a millisecond to register.
He was on PSN in this video, you can see at the start of the video where he checked how many people were in the session in the psn menu.
More poor people are playing
I've been having similar problems while invading. Mostly failures to invade but even when I do invade it's not the same as pre patch.
It claimed to improve performance but so far performance has been pretty bad for PvP.
The game is cool and all with the new stuff, but i hope instead if them trying to fix weapons they really fix some fundamental problems of elden ring, ganking with resummons/ no blue cool down, no increased invader limit, and ofcourse some weapons need to be tweaked and glitches fixed. The game just feels severely.....janky ? Not absurdly broken just like something is there but not exactly the way we want/need it
I just realised this was a thing, why haven't i been invaded so far, is there a turn off button because no one invaded me so far. ?
Pvp has never been worse lmao L2den Ring x3
I think patching so that each resummon or blue makes it more likely for another red to appear would fix this and make it more fun for both sides.
there is a new talisman +1 which gives you even more life when you drink a potion updates you are talisman dude
Hey Steel, It'd be amazing if you and other creators used your influence to encourage people to write tickets to Bandai Namco about invasion problems. Definitely the best way to make them aware and perhaps compelled to fix the issues.
I'd say that complaining about the overleveled scaling is the best chance we have to help invaders (and co-op cause honestly it's boring and a cheesy way to play), since the 4 player limit is probably enforced because of performance. Maybe a taunter's tongue rework could be done too.
I think Endure+powerstance daggers L1 mashing would have gotten you through this one with a lot less pain
That's why resummon = chainsaw
Try the dual version of that light greatsword... use with twinblade tali and do any of these combos:
Running R1 into L1
First R2 into L1
JR2 or JL1 into L1
Most importantly, CL1 into L1
Possible usage: CR1 L1 L1
Use with millicent+rotten wing for best damage
L1? Thats blocking right
I wonder if you could get any use out of erdtree greatshield
lmfao what an insane invade
Can you guys recommend good pvp weapons that arent katanas please? Preferably not dex weapons
The new Fire knight's greatword has a R1 to R1 true combo, A scaling on heavy
Are you sure you're not on PC here?
Thats the majority of souls players in pvp. They suck when foghting one on one and you can kill 100 of their phantoms thry hide behind and then when youre out of heals and one of thrn finally kills you they teabag yoy like they did something other than hide the whole match and run. 😂😂
Dude, pvp has never been worse, like Jesus Christ, imo it was odds stacked against invaders but now it’s basically them trying to cancel invaders out entirely. How is it I invade and almost get the host after I kill his phantom then 2 phantoms come out of nowhere. I stg there was 4 of them in total
@@Puppetgush Youre profile picture fits perfectly with the comment
@@Demonspain it’s how I feel everyday
armor looks really good tho
I agree with Jeenine about hating poor people cause if this bs net happened to me id flip muh shit
blame fromsoftware for not including a simple ping filter
This was just high ping, the host and summons were probably all Australians or Kiwis. You can tell because even though the delay was huge they weren’t skipping
Both of you disgusting
this looks like such a boring and slow playstyle, dont understand how that can be fun
Most ppl r just tryna have fun and play the game w their friends they don’t pvp
@@BruhBruh-dj8nznah bro people like those know whats good
Sheesh, summon lords are the worst. Like dang dude, you really that pressed for your rune arc? Just fight lol.
Atrocious
Ngl i think your failure to adapt to the latency is what made this even harder than it needed to be. Why would you continue fishing for dagger critical when you already know you have barely enough time to get the critical even without going for a dagger swap? Completely unnecessary hard swapping to finish off that mage and other phantoms when you could've just endured with some multi hit weapons and finished them off. Some critical damage is better than missing it for the 5th time in a row because you keep going for a dagger swap.
It's clear that you don't fully grasp the strategic depth and nuance required for optimizing damage output in high-pressure scenarios. Let's break down your points and why they're fundamentally flawed: Latency and Critical Hits: You seem to believe that latency makes achieving critical hits with a dagger impractical, but this underestimates the importance of maximizing DPS (damage per second). Critical hits with a dagger aren't just about raw damage; they're about maximizing the efficiency of each action. A well-timed critical hit can drastically alter the flow of battle, allowing for quicker takedowns and reducing the number of threats on the field. Ignoring this in favor of "safe" multi-hit weapons is a rookie mistake that compromises long-term success for short-term stability. Endurance and Multi-hit Weapons: The notion that simply enduring and whittling down enemies with multi-hit weapons is a viable alternative overlooks the tactical advantage of swift eliminations. Multi-hit weapons, while reliable, often spread damage across multiple hits, meaning they take longer to bring down high-priority targets. In contrast, a critical hit can decimate an enemy instantly, changing the dynamic of the fight. By not prioritizing critical strikes, you're effectively prolonging engagements, increasing the risk of mistakes or additional enemies joining the fray. Consistency of Critical Hits: Your criticism of "missing it for the 5th time in a row" reveals a lack of understanding of skill refinement and adaptation. Mastery in any game requires pushing the boundaries of what's possible, even if it means occasional failure. The goal is not to avoid risk but to manage it effectively. Missing a few criticals while perfecting the timing is part of the learning curve. Over time, the success rate will improve, leading to far greater efficiency than if one were to settle for mediocre, consistent damage. Strategic Hard Swapping: You underestimate the value of weapon swapping as a strategic maneuver. Hard swapping isn't just about the immediate damage output; it's about flexibility and adaptability in combat. Each weapon serves a purpose, and the ability to switch between them allows for dynamic responses to evolving threats. Criticizing hard swaps as "unnecessary" demonstrates a simplistic view of combat strategy, where versatility and adaptability are paramount. Execution under Pressure: Your suggestion to "endure with some multi-hit weapons" is a conservative approach that fails under high-stakes conditions where precision and optimized damage output are crucial. It's not about surviving longer; it's about winning decisively. High-level play demands risk-taking and pushing the limits of what's achievable, not settling for suboptimal strategies because they're easier or safer. In conclusion, your approach advocates for a playstyle that is risk-averse and fundamentally less effective in high-level play. The key to mastering such games lies in pushing the limits, refining skills, and not shying away from the complexities of advanced tactics. Settling for "safe" strategies might get you through basic encounters, but it won't hold up when true skill is required. The pursuit of optimal play, even if it involves initial failures, ultimately leads to greater success and a deeper understanding of the game's mechanics.
Soft swap is a fastest recovery cancel of previous action besides roll, so my attempts were more optimal here than if I wouldn't do the dagger swap at all as it would be even less likely I would confirm any damage.
Unlimited help is b.s
Agreed, you shouldn't be able to summon more than a certain amount of people until you have to fight your own fight
Two should honestly be the limit once someone has invaded. Or future summons turned off once someone invades.
just another day in Miyazaki's vision
That's cool and all but how about we imagine a 3 man squad all spamming capitan america shield?
My new favorite shield. No more running for trash phantoms and the tracking is excellent
after swift slash is nerfed, this might just be the new cancer
PC ahh invasion latency 🗿
Love ur vids bro keep it up
i would say send to Miyazaki but he was probably the host
Can you use the other great katana, I think you might like that moveset better. It’s like the rovers of blood in terms of ash
he may not have it but im sure it will be found and tested decently soon so
ribera bobra
You're talking about the dragon one?
The dragon one I liked. Damage on the ash seemed pretty bad though. You'd think its speed would reflect its ability.
@@nachalnik5738 nah there's a third one you can get from a mausoleum
Did you use a cheat to have a lot of giant arrows or did you farm / maybe you can buy in DLC now?
Cheated no one is gonna farm for that long lmao
