Despite being a badass and my favorite chef on the show, he also shows respect. I like when he was making his Indian dish, even though he had no idea what to do, he tried to take into account certain meats that are commonly eaten in the US may be frowned upon if used in India.

I think that was the catalyst to Gordon to make the winner the head chef of his restaurants, not sure on others but i think after this season obly 1 or 2 seasons had a prize not under gordon.
That happens every time, actually. They usually word the show to say “a head chef” and not “THE head chef.” They still get $250,000, so it’s not like a total loss.
Dave is my favorite HK winner. He has obviously the cooking talent but more importantly, he is strong-willed who motivated himself all through out the competition since he was injured early. There is a scene where he was talking to himself in front of a mirror, not shown here, and it was inspiring to watch the strong mind this man has and his passion for his cooking. He also had a great strategy going into the contest by earning Gordon's respect first.
28:06 highlight of any chef’s career when their idol turns round and says that about your food. One of my favourite seasons with Dave and Kevin, final was epic
i love how he and kevin were so supportive of the other potentially winning at the end not an ounce of bad blood in their final moments well..that actually makes it sound like they died but you know what i mean
I don’t understand why Robert has a ‘nice guy’ rep; he’s shown himself to be pretty bitter, has said some pretty nasty, misogynistic things, and been a bad sport. I wasn’t impressed at all.
Dave is a menace of a competitor. Kevin was also good though. It's clearly seen that those dudes set each other off as their own rivals and they fought fairly and without any disrespect. Best final duo
I have to wonder whether or not Dave would have done as well without his arm getting injured. Obviously he’s got the skill and talent, but I wonder if his arm made him push himself that much harder to become the absolute legend he was. Favorite bit of all this I think is just the entire service starting from 27:50 where Dave just goes off handling like 5 separate dishes at once and putting them all out with high quality
both Dave and Kevin should feel proud of what they've done in this season. Both finalist at the start of the season were injured, Kevin with his ankle and Dave with the wrist, and both still get through it. Kevin for half season; but Dave playing really hard with one less arm than all of others..... when he first decided to stay he was destined to win it all... literally no one of that season can be mad on themselves that they lost to Dave.
Even though Dave broke his arm. He refused to quit and he showed that when at times he fought through pain. And he was able to perform well at service and was able to win season 6.

Despite being a badass and my favorite chef on the show, he also shows respect. I like when he was making his Indian dish, even though he had no idea what to do, he tried to take into account certain meats that are commonly eaten in the US may be frowned upon if used in India.
Yep, he remembered the cow which is great, but doesn’t know about the sizable Muslim population in India, but that’s alright. The fact he considers it alone makes it great.
@@misanthropicservitorofmars2116 but to be honest India is diverse but we can't represent beef dishes maybe if its an Indian special and it's regional dishes, then yea beef dishes from Kerala can be referenced but we are talking about the majority here... So him avoiding beef is a respectful gesture... Not just beef but even pork...
Dave is truly the GOAT. He won season 6 literally with 1 hand
No one has ever locked in the way Dave did throughout this season.
Shame that when Dave arrived for his head chef position they told him it was only actually for a line chef spot
Unfair!
Tbf he’d get the job when the current head chef left. Not many HEAD head chef positions just open and available at a top restaurant
Also that kind of job requires a lot of experience
Dave didn't cry when he broke his wrist or even when cooking with a fking broken hand but winning the competition truly broke him
You can see the pain and tiredness in his eyes. True chef right there
Dave is my favorite HK winner.
One of my favourite seasons with Dave and Kevin, final was epic
i love how he and kevin were so supportive of the other potentially winning at the end
not an ounce of bad blood in their final moments
well..that actually makes it sound like they died but you know what i mean
This man is the Anakin Skywalker of hells kitchen
He does kinda look like him too
"Its over firefighters...I have the high ground."
The chosen one
- Loses a hand
- Constant internal struggle
- Demolishes everyone
Yep that's Ani right there.
@@ovskii96 and when he became head chef he became full on anakin
Kurt Angle won a medal with a broken neck
Michael Bisping won a title with a broken eye
Dave won Hell's Kitchen with a broken hand
It wasn’t a broken neck. It was a broken freakin neck
did you know Van is the son of luna vachon?
@@alexnas9634 Yeah I saw him on Darkside of The Ring
@@Zxlxya i was shocked cause i watched this season when it was live, and i watched it every week and van was one of my favs too lol
This guys looks liks the stoner in a summer movie but cooks like a machine
Scotleys fault.
cringe
48:23 this was my favourite moment of his. To bring out his inner Gordon Ramsey like he did was awesome to watch!
Even Gordon Ramsey is shocked
I love Kevin, but seeing Dave's burns in his hands, oh boy, mad respect for this warrior. :)
Dave is so OP that the producers are willing to nerf him 🤣
To be honest, Robert at the end was an annoying person, throwing Dave under the bus, then expecting Dave to back him.
Robert was uncalled for doing Dave like that.
46:15 look at all the scars and burn in his right arm. It must have felt surreal and accomplishing to win the whole thing after all hes been through
My shoulder was fractured 5 years ago and since then my shoulder gets dislocated at least once a week. This guy is a model for me.
3:58 That boom and camera shake was diabolical
Dave was truly a strong chef working with one hand
Scotleys fault.
"...There's pineapple fig, lemon fig, coconut fig, pepper fig, fig soup, fig stew ..." -Bubba in Hell's Kitchen probably.
It’s even crazier when you know like most of the Blue Team had injuries and other medical problems throughout Season 6.
its still crazy how the two with physical injuries made it to the final 2
both Dave and Kevin should feel proud of what they've done in this season.
It was actually a fracture. Not quite a break.
@@stephenfox8685that stuff still hurts like crazy I fractured my wrist and left pinky not fun

"Everyone loves lobster" THEN deciding on venison?! That was 3d chess
I'm so happy you made this. I was genuinely looking for a compilation like this so I don't have to rewatch the season. Okay okay I'll rewatch the season. Dave the Trooper
13:20 *Dave has spoken about a lot of pros of Figs that nobody asked to hear*
Narrator:- "While the men continue to *Fig-ure* out their menu"
