With how often Joshua says something's underseasoned, I'd like to see him do a video series where he has judges blindly taste test the same food with varying levels of salt from 0-200% based on his salt recommendations per dish, so we can see if Joshua's taste buds are biased toward the sea or not. I'd call the series Seasoned: Under, Over, or Just Right. What do you guys think?
I like it
3200mg of sodium for bj's burger not including fries.... yet it needed more salt 🤣
Egos. Egos always have something to say. Can’t be ‘all good’. Tiny swipes push em down. This guy has become incredibly hard to watch. Get the feeling the dude is a difficult ego monster. Each vid seems to prove it.
This is a great idea. I know there is SO much sodium in these burgers, I can't imagine wanting more. I'm sure it is probably because the sodium comes from other ingredients that have salt and not straight salt itself which is what Josh would prefer, but still.
@@GeonamicWarrior he’s a UA-camr chef now, not a real chef. He has to be insanely critical to make the video engaging. In almost all of these videos the “last” food item has performed well. If he genuinely criticized them he wouldn’t just base an entire franchise with thousands of locations on one single restaurant
Please tell your editors that not every transition or text on screen needs a noise with it.
BOOM!
It's almost impossible to watch
It’s for the zoomers to keep their attention
Mr beast has been a disease for this platform, and nobody can change my mind on that
Ok boomer
I worked at a bdubs and what shocked me was that they had super solid burgers. The one with blue cheese would make my eyes roll back. Glad that this video covers them.
I agree. I usually don’t like b dubs but I could eat their burgers every day of the week
Burgers are better than their wings. Full stop.
The wings and nachos have nosedived in quality but their burgers have seriously improved
Also worked there and have to hard agree it was the best thing they sold by a longshot
I like Damon.

Charisma -- 9/10

lmaaaaaaaaaoooo
man i was hoping that was coming, did not disappoint
No because why are you making fun of him
It's not cool to make fun of people for things like that. If you ever go to Europe, you will find 3/5 people are missing a tooth. Also, you didn't even get it right, he's missing at least 2 teeth. Now, I KNOW that @JoshuaWeissman could TOTALLY afford to get this guy into a dentist and wouldn't even notice the money gone. I sure hope he does the right thing here, because it would be so easy for Josh to make a HUGE impact in Damon's life who really seems like a nice person.
@@PhushywillowFRONT TOOTH?! Dunno what country in Europe you've seen.

@@mattk1693 Nahh I like this new setup. Not as much as the old, but it's still entertaining
Thank you Joshua. For the last 5 years I've been saying Buffalo wild wings have such a top tier burger. Their smash burgers are so good!
I miss the old edits and style, glad he’s growing and successful, but the old style made it feel like ~home~
@@jrobinson1454 I too made a comment about that. Everything feels either rushed, overly edited, heavily monetized, etc. When Josh got skinny and famous his videos doesn’t seem the same.

Longhorn Steakhouse burgers are incredibly tasty. They came to us after Hurricane Harvey flooded my entire neighborhood a few days after the storm and brought food for hundreds of houses. I won't ever forget their generosity(especially after not having eaten for a few days) and go there as often as I can. Occasionally theyll give me a complimentary whiskey when Im waiting for my to go order. I cant praise those people enough.
♥♥♥
Never heard that story before and for some reason that makes it all the more heartwarming. Means they didn't overly publicize it and likely just wanted to genuinely help. I'm gonna go there next time I eat out.
@@daserfomalhaut9809 Almost guarantee they lost power and wanted to cook the food and give it away rather than waste it. Several grocery chains did the same thing. One set up a big pit grill in front and invited people to the cookout. (and to bring their own meats before they went bad as well)
We visited Longhorn Steakhouse in Houston, visiting from Australia. They liked our accents which resulted in free chocolate cake for desert. Good food, good people.
Nothing makes me happier when you have a layover in the airport than finding a Longhorn's. You leave a loud bright overstimulating environment and see dark wood, low light, and a little country / light rock music. The burger and service are good every time I've been to one. I'd pay the money just to feel like I'm not at the airport for the 30 minutes I'm in there.
I know the algorithm gods dictate mostly the content people make on this platform, but I just want to say how much I miss your recipe videos. I still go back and use them all the time. But truly, at the end of the day I hope you make the the content that makes you happy.
Yeah these dopey taste-test things are lame. It's not like wage slaves actually care about the food they make
Really wanna know who drew your Octorock avatar. Seen it before.
This :( I go back to his old videos and there are so many recipes I wish he covered but he hasn’t.
@@daserfomalhaut9809 I would too. I found it many moons ago and sadly have no idea who the original artist is.
Same here. I second all of what you wrote.
Also, the burger with fries at Longhorn is under $10 at lunch (drinks extra). Quintessential burger, usually done perfectly, and the fries are bomb as well. Almost certainly the best value in S-tier restaurant food in America right now.
Longhorn is one of the few "fast casual" restaurants I actually enjoy, and I'm not even a huge steak fan.
Longhorn has amazing ribs and a great chicken sandwich for lunch (they charged me extra for ordering it for dinner tho)
Dang, I've only eaten their steaks. Gotta try that burger now.
We had very different experiences at Longhorn. While their steaks are decent, their burgers are dry and the ratio of burger to everything else is always off.
I just went to longhorn got a steak but it was way too overseasoned you couldn’t even enjoy the steak bc your mouth was just overloaded with seasoning maybe I had it on a bad day
Salt salt
Salt salt salt salt
Salt
Salt salt salt salt salt salt
I hate overly salty food but for some reason Josh is like “needs salt needs salt needs salt needs salt”
I’m waiting for him to review an ice cream cone and say it isn’t good cause it “hasn’t been salted”
The point of adding salt is not to make things overly salty but to improve other flavors. If you can't taste umami, it means that the cook didn't use enough salt.
They're just gonna keep spamming these uninspired copy paste comments no matter what lol @faust_ka
@@faust_kabut is a fine line between adding enough salt to bring out the flavors and over salting

Come with us, the guys that want fermentation and nice recipe videos to come back 😢
You get unlimited fries at Red Robin also… it’s a top tier chain burger spot
Unlimited… if the staff can be bothered to bring them.
The fries are awesome if you order them extra crispy and dip them in the ranch dressing/dip... one of the managers told us about the ranch dip years ago and we have been hooked ever since.
I really don't care for their fry seasoning, but I don't care for their burgers either.
Red Robin is the whole package. Great burgers, great sides, great atmosphere. BWW may have a better burger, but their fries are horrible and WHAT?? WHAT DID YOU SAY? IT'S TOO F-- LOUD IN HERE!
I do remember when a burger was like 8 bucks. Last time I went the burger was like 20-24 bucks. Crazyyyy
This year for my birthday me and my family crossed over to the United States for the day since we’re from Canada. We ended up having Red Robin for lunch since we never had it before and heard good things about their burgers, and yeah they’re amazing, one of the best I’ve ever had from a chain restaurant. Definitely gets a recommendation from me and I may never well see myself there again in the future.
Longhorn, in my experience, is usually solid for what they offer. You want a good burger? They have it. Ribeye that's about the best you'll find for the price, at a chain restaurant? They deliver.
Cracker Barrel is a place you go for breakfast and nothing else. Even then, most of their breakfast is so basic it's hard to mess up. But the hash brown casserole is actually pretty good, and they do pancakes really well.
I've been to about every nice steakhouse in metro Atlanta. And while I love most of them, getting a Longhorn bone-in ribeye with a salad and side for $30 is one of the better deals out there.
I enjoy a whole lot that CB has. Used to fry chicken there.
Yup don’t order anything except pancakes at cracker barrell
Ihop never changed their name to Ihob. That was a marketing campaign to show people they had burgers.
Dude right? People were so triggered and I was like y’all it’s just a promotional thing. Chill.
Funny that it was labelled international when Ive never seen them anywhere in my travels (not american)
and people are still talking about it.
My IHOP has a after 5 PM dinner special. You can get a burger and fries for 5.00, can't beat it.
@@FemfemioIt's named that because they sell breakfast items from around the world (crepes with lingonberry for instance), not because they're located around the world.

I came across this comment at the exact moment it was being said... creepy.
ironically given a D 🤣
Chili's $11 meal deal is such a good value. Burger, fries, soup, and a drink.
Chilis is truly the goat. It’s insane you can eat legitimately solid food for less than McDonald’s steamed crap patties
I miss when Chili’s was in Canada. I doubt we’d have a deal that good though. Dang you Americans and your superior dollar!
he's crazy with that Chili's rating. Also Waffle House is trash and cracker barrel is good, just generally. Every time he does one of these I question his taste...or at least wonder what the hell is going on at some of these places in Austin specifically.
I feel like if you get it to go then stand outside while trying to film and do all this then finally bite into it of course it’s not gonna be as good as if you sit down and order it and eat it in the restaurant
Yea that 3 for me deal is insane
I try really hard to sell my friends on Bufallo Wild Wings Burgers, and they assume that because its a wing joint, they dont do good burgers. But the difference relies entirely on the fact that none of Buffs food comes frozen, it might be chilled, but never completely brick frozen. The meat is actually quality ground beef portions.
Thats really what sets it apart from everyone else.
this was the weekend for josh to post a 'but cheaper' thanksgiving video. missed opportunity. and i really miss the cooking videos.
He already has a Thanksgiving "but cheaper"
He's a whore for the views, man... just stick to the ones that don't sell out.

That would be good

this but just for the low tiered burgers instead
I want Joshua to try different ready-meals companies like Factor etc.
I think that’s a cool idea but might be bad for sponsors in the future
the cheesecake factory is the embodiment of a jackof all trades and a master of none
yeah, a jackoff all trades
Their slider appetizer is S tier. Look for other videos about it. I've tried it and it's the only thing I'm getting there from now on, so good.
They are the master of food that looks awesome but underachieves...and will require you to get a quadruple bypass.
not even cheesecake?
if you go here and expect anything but the cheesecake to be good...then idk what to say
their apps are decent actually, but the food overall is alright. my wife and i go there like 1-2 times a year and i try something different every time, i havent found a meal of theirs that i would recommend.
You’ve gotta do a video rating the best fast food burritos across the Country!
Oh Cracker Barrel. We love you for your breakfast and southern specialties. Absolutely nothing else though
I'm a chef at Buffalo Wild Wings while I'm attending college, making burgers is probably my favorite thing to do there, The triple bacon is probably our most ordered. It's very good would highly recommend it.
gimme a quadruple bacon
@Dennis_The_Peasant not sure how to do that exactly, it's a triple bc it has a bacon sauce, bacon bits in the patty, and 4 bacon slices
You aren't a chef relax
@@Sethgtb100 I cook food at a restaurant don't I? Sounds like being a cook to chef to me.
@detoddo5116 cook and chef 2 completely different things, up to chef de partie is where you can call yourself a chef. Not knocking what we all started doing and where but that's the equivalent of calling a waffle house worker a chef because you cook
In 2025 can we get more recipes from you? I loved those videos!!! They were so easy to follow and understand. I also loved when you taught us how to make fancy meals at affordable prices
I think its really just up to the grill cook and prep person in the kitchen. I’ve had burgers at McDonalds that were amazing (most are awful) but when a fry cook knows what theyre doing, it makes a HUGE difference. Even with frozen patties you can make a good burger if you know how to cook.
The Quarter Pounder that’s made to order with never frozen beef is way better than any burger at McDonald’s that was assembled from a patty pulled out of a warming tray. I’m also old enough to remember when they used styrofoam clamshell packaging, which kept it warm but got the bun all weird and soggy. And they might still have all that under a heat lamp for several minutes.
I agree. It really depends on if they hired a person that can cook well
I had one of the best and worst burgers at the exact same place. The people cooking the food have a big impact. And the location Manager too. There are certain Wendy's and a&w where I live in Canada that are pretty consistently good, but some others are very hit and miss. So yeah, same recipe and equipment does not mean same food. It's still people making it.
Also goes for the fries. There are two MCD within about the same distance of me, and the fries at one are the usual MCD fries, while the other one they are consistently absolutely horrible: floppy, and completely unseasoned. Like ZERO salt. Which, the salt levels and the crispiness are the MCD brand.
@
Same recipe may not even be enough depending on the ingredient sources. A lot of chain restaurants have multiple regional suppliers. That can make a huge difference with meat quality.
I had never even considered ordering a burger from Red Lobster, Texas Roadhouse, or Longhorn. Thanks for enlightening us, Josh.
This guy's complaint for everything is lack of salt. I just think Josh would enjoy life better if he took a salt shaker with him everywhere he went.

Funny you brought up the "Cracker Barrel tastes like it was cooked in an old folks home" thing because my brother said the exact same thing, and he is the kitchen manager/"head chef" at an old folks home. 🤣
Cracker Barrel breakfast is still great tho. If I want a burger, I’m not thinking Cracker Barrel lol
I wonder if they use SISCO for their produce and meat. They supply hospitals and nursing homes
Yep, that pretty much describes much of CB's food, which is why so many old folks love that place.
For anyone wondering where that buffalo wild wings is, 1431 and 183A in Cedar Park. It has had its up and downs. Right behind it is a great chinese place called Amy's Chinese Cuisine. The owner there is super awesome I have known her since I was a kid
I've had a house near 45 and 183A for fifteen years. It's about 6 miles from where that BWW is. And I'm just realizing I've never once been on that corner for anything.
Must be solid, that burger doesn't resemble anything close to what I have got at BWW for at least a decade.

Agreed. Please bring Christian back!
The amount of times you say "mid" now has me reeling 😂
Josh multiple times in this video and over the course of this series:
“I really like this item, but it feels like one component is much better than the others. Therefore, for some reason, I will grade it as if that component was not on it and say it is a bad item.”
I know they are subjective grade so like who cares, but that logic is so weird
It's because he's a douchebag
100%
I think his wording is weird because he says it kinda differently for some items. I believe the point is meant to be that that one good element overpowers and overshadows the other stuff so you can't taste the burger and/or the other toppings and doesn't compliment the rest of the burger well, making it a strange experience to eat.
Right but they're scoring the whole burger, not one ingredient. Just because you put gold foil in a bottle of liquor doesn't suddenly mean the liquor is worth more. It just means it has something expensive in it despite being cheap.
Same idea with burger. If it's a good sauce but it sucks as a burger, it still sucks, but it has good sauce.
As someone who worked at BWW for 6 years in my teenage years and has since revisited, they went from being just like Applebees/Chili’s to having INSANELY underrated burgers.

It's not the endless shrimp that's ruining Red Lobster. Their parent company also owns their distributer and forces Red Lobster to buy from them at insanely inflated prices. It's the exact same situation that killed Quiznos.
Pretty sure it was just a joke
@rayjones2606 No, the company that owns Red Lobster is trying to blame the endless shrimp on the restaurants failure when it's really them price gouging RL to increase profits for their distribution company. They are robbing Peter to pay Paul.
I thought subway killed Quiznos with their $5 footlong where they(subway) made no money but took all the business
Interesting with the Cheesecake factory of "not enough salt" considering everything on their menu is like a nearly days worth of calories and more than a days worth of acceptable sodium consumption for your body. Seriously was curious and looked up the nutritional facts on this, yes 2430mg of sodium, oh and 200% your daily saturated fat too... must be from that mac and cheese oil sponge they put on it.

CB is _wildly_ hit-or-miss. It can vary by not just location but also time of day and even by item in some cases.
@OddlyIncredible To be fair, a lot of chains are like that. They do their best to keep things consistent but at the end of the day, if you get a bad franchise owner, you get bad food.
CB in general, I think I've literally only gone to 2 different locations and they were both pretty good in the breakfast department.
Why would you even go out to eat for pancakes?? 😂😂
Cracker barrel is bland food, that’s why the older generation loves it. Food is just average at best.

I don’t think it’s fair for the ratings that each burger is so different, also I work at chilis for Togo and can assure you that burger is not fresh. If you were to go back, I’d highly recommend the Alex Santa fey burger or the burger bites! so many better options than a basic meat filled burger with cheese.
Joshua usually goes for a single basic/common option to compare in these videos, which in this case was a bacon cheeseburger, so that he can do a more or less apples-to-apples comparison. There's undoubtedly better fare at a lot of these places, but comparing specialties against each other is pretty pointless.

I miss $1 McDonalds Hamburgers
Menu hack. The standard McDoubles are always 2 for $4 in the app. I load up with free onions, pickles, lettuce, and mayo. There's usually a deal to get a free large fry with any size drink $1.29. So for $5.29 you are getting 2 McDoubles, Large Fries, and a Large Coke. You can add extra patties for $1 and various other toppings like extra cheese and bacon, but it starts adding up. The deal I posted is probably the best basic meal and able to fill up even a big guy.

Edit: I went and got this today just to piss you off, and I added a free McChicken with extra lettuce, mayo, and pickles for free with points!
We NEED the “I tried every hotel chains continental breakfast” video yesterday
Make recipe videos pls
If you start the video by talking about how the prices of every chain restaurant are going up, you should include the prices of every burger, not just the most expensive and least expensive burger.

I love how my man is a professional chef and toothless, in Appalachia those are def the best cooks
I don't think not being able to taste the beef or it being overpowered by other ingredients is necessarily a bad thing. What matters is the unity of all ingredients meshing well together to make a new flavor pallet through them all in unison. I can't speak for everyone but I don't buy and rate my burgers based off of just the beef patty alone, everything in it factors in if I enjoyed it or not. Sause, cheese, bacon, etc adds to the sandwich. Yes, the beef quality is important as its the main ingredient, but just because the main flavor isnt "beef" would not deduct from my opinion on it. If I was so caught on the idea of tasting the beef I'd just order a steak.
You should try all the best fast food taco chains.
