I've been listening to these since 2015, so since I was nine or ten. These songs make me want to create songs, so thank you for inspiring me to do things when I was younger
I know that I'm pretty late but I just want to say... I admire your ability to paint pictures with music. Somehow I have whole sceneries in mind when I listen to your songs, it inspires me to draw and write again after a long period of my creativity just being, well, gone.
This song inspired a new story and Hey Alice was included in the playlist for my latest novel, Unchained Hearts, the first book in a dark fantasy series. Needless to say, I love your music! 💖

It makes me imagine of a person deciding if they should or not end their lives.
They lost everything and they feel they have no one else to turn to. As they stood they looked up to the sky they imagined angels lifting them up to the sky. They are told they are sick and they are nothing but a burden to everyone then I guess they believed the voices who told them on a very cold winter morning they go up and they look down to the ground hoping the height would kill them. Then a nurse cries out to them to stop what they are doing but they don’t hear too well and as they move their foot so they could fall they are pulled back by the arm and caught and was held into an warm embrace and they start crying. The nurse comforts them as they are led back into their warm room and they could get more rest.
To me it sounds like someone who is wondering if they are the villain, and if they want to continue this path, (a long way down) or if they want to change.

***** i really like it!! there's practically no real character customization for free players besides clothes, but the gameplay is entertaining, there's always something to do, and the story is nice

That's my headcanon, that this song is from Alice's perspective while in the asylum.
I think I’ve died and gone to heaven.
I like to think that the Bell tower is the singer's own form of anti-socialness that has by now spawned loneliness. So the bells warning not to fall, are just her own self doubts about people and how she shouldn't fall down or 'let down her guards completely'.
In the end she finally gives in, but it's a 'long way down' or a long journey.

Anyway, I'm glad you liked the interpretation. This one was a little harder, since the end sounded a lot like suicide as did the line mentioning the other people 'falling to freedom'.
