Rear Fuel Tank Swap on a 1992-1996 (1997 3/4-1 Ton Ford F-150 F-250 F-350

Watch as we swap out a rusty rear fuel tank on the green monster truck. We used one from a parts truck I scrapped out, so we were able to do it on the cheap. You’ll need 13 mm wrench, 15 mm deep socket, hammer, chisel/punch, and a few screwdrivers. Like, subscribe, and comment!

On the old trucks, there was a manual value to physically switch tanks. What did Ford use on these OBS or newer trucks?

When they went to efi, they had to incorporate an electronic switch to change which in tank fuel pump is pushing. They run thru a valve on the frame rail. I think the valve is mechanical and is switched by whichever tank is sending fuel.

What you called an extension on the fuel line is a check valve added by ford after manufacturing due to pump check valve failures
