Riverside State Park is very nearby where it’s possible to enjoy things like hiking, running, kayaking, road biking, mountain biking, horse back riding and camping. The river is dammed in a couple of locations creating lakes and reservoirs making it easy to enjoy recreation out on the water, this also makes for stunning back drops to evening strolls along the Centennial Trail that starts in nine mile falls and runs right the way through to Idaho.

Nine Mile Falls is only about 11 miles as the crow flies to River Front Park, but what do you reckon the drive time is, say on a weeknight to go to a show at the arena?

Plan on 30-45 mins I'd say. It feels remote out there but you can shoot back down to town in a reasonable time.
