    My washer was a slightly different model, WF520ABP/XAA and when I went to take off the front panel like in the video, the bottom would not release. We ended up tilting the bottom up to take a look, and the bottom of the panel had 3 screws there. After removing those, I could remove the panel fully. If your panel doesn't remove easily like in the video, then check for those.

      When I look at the first replacement pump I took out there appears to be water inside the pump motor area. Pump was used for about 7 months. Is shaft seal on the little impeller supposed to seal water from entering the motor portion? I assume that if the motor is supposed to stay dry and it is wet that would lead to problems.

    If the filter and drain pump check out, look at the drain hose from the drum to the pump. Is it clogged with accumulated gunk? If the drain lines are clear, it is probably the controller board. These washers are known to blow the relay (a $0.25 part) that controls the drain pump. The controller assemblies are not readily available, if at all (EOL'ed by Samsung after 5 or so years). Used ones can be found on Ebay--caveat emptor. The controller board from a model one up or one down on the Samsung product offerings for a given model run will often work--the wash cycles will be different on the dial or not available. For example--if the controller comes from a lesser model, it may not offer the sanitize (heat) cycle, but all the other features are the same. The various large online parts vendors have good information about OE part numbers and subsequent replacement part numbers.

Sometimes it just sits where ever it is in the cycle and just keeps trying. I’ve unplugged it and waited awhile and then it works again for awhile… have you ever come across that issue?

  • @bootyholeman5659
    @bootyholeman5659 4 роки тому +2

    Thanks for the instructions. But the washer will not work correctly without that check valve. The check valve is not there to prevent water from the drain pipe coming back in. During some cycles the washer has a very small amount of water it wants to remove. This small amount it not enough to make it up the drain hose so it will keep running back down to the pump if you don't have the check valve. You will eventually get a drain error.

    • @donutz1
      @donutz1 3 роки тому +1

      That sounds right to me. My pump tests fine, no blockages or gunk anywhere, so i think it's that little black check valve/flapper. This is a very frustrating problem that is difficult to diagnose because everything looks fine.

      The drain pump have two fixtures electronically and mechanically when you check continuity you checking the electrical Winings for the motor the mechanical will be the blade in the rest of the housing 90% of the time the motor is going to test good but the blade or the blade rotor is bad if you try to spend the blade and you don’t feel tension your drain pump is bad also check the check valve which is the flapper rubber piece

      If it’s not filling in water you’ll probably need a water valve you have to make sure you’re getting enough water pressure from the water valve also check the filters on the water valve itself and make sure they are clean if you have a multimeter tester check if you get an 120 V at the water valve when it supposed to be filling in

      Mine was the relay, you have to order the relay from an electronics site and cut it out of the silicone caulk it’s buried in and I believe cut a slot in the plastic behind it with a dremel to access the solder joints to unsolder and install a new one. It work for a couple of years but now any time it has a large load it doesn’t drain and have to run a spin cycle and it drains just fine.

It is still not working, not even the humming sound of the pump. I am wondering if there is any power coming into the pump at all. I do not have a spinning problem because after I manually drains it, I ran a spin cycle. It spins as it should. I ran a quick wash. When it gets to rinse from the wash cycle, it stops and nd code appears. I would run a rinse + spin cycle. It stops right before spin with the same code. Anyone please your help is appreciated.
