"The sequel nobody asked for". During those 14 years, did you by any chance search Jurassic Park 4, because all the fans of the franchise were going mad about a fourth film, so much so that "related results" for the three existing films, were pushed back way beyond page 10!
calvaughan27 Exactly, and Speilberg himself considered it. The plots all involved splicing Dino DNA with humans, etc and ways to redeem T-Rex, while also having aquatic Dinos. High heels and divorces aside, I'm very impressed with this outcome considering how bad it could have flopped.

Now I personally haven't seen Jurassic World, but from what people are telling me, it's exactly that. Perhaps you need to stop nit-picking and look at these movies from a different perspective.

Yeah and “moves like jagger” was in the top 10 for like 2 months what’s your point? Stupid shit is successful all the time, that doesn’t mean it’s not stupid and no one asked for it. I mean, fucking national treasure. An absolute train wreck of a movie was number 1 for 6 weeks. Terrible movie. Any of the transformers fall in the same category. No one asked for this garbage ass movies/songs but they still made a lot of money. “Now you see me 2” was a box office success. They didn’t even take the time to name the movie “now you don’t”. Basically what I’m saying is the review is legit and Jurassic world was trash.

yeah, the old park, the jeeps, the fence, Mr. DNA, the "WHEN DINOSAURS WALKED THE EARTH" poster, the waterfall and that old skeleton that rexy smashed, that was a pure nostalgia ride. And I was born in 2000.
The part where I could not suspend disbelief was where they mount a minigun on the choppper and fire on I-rex. ITS A MINIGUN! IT FIRES 60 BULLETS-A-FUCKING-SECOND! YOU POINT AT WHAT YOU WANT TO SHOOT, AND EVERYTHING THERE, *DIES*! HOW CAN YOU MISS AGAINST A BIG
ALBINO CARNIVORE PUSHING TREES LEFT AND RIGHT AT 200 METRES!
Okay, Rant over. For the sequel, I want to see Malcom, Alan, Ellie and the Hammond kids start a protest group, which picks up steam after Islar Nular, with more support growing, and leaked footage and documents of i-rex come into light. with this controversy on,Ingen is under the pump to assure the people that it's just a fluke and keep its reputation (and finances) above water in Jurassic World, so they have a second shot at making a dinosaur, but with more security, and attractions, etc. etc.
Andrew Ryan Really? I thought it was so corny, almost directed by ]Michael Bay. The raptor bonding at the end was the last straw, I really don't understand how people like this movie. It was such a cheesy, corny, one dimensional movie.

Uh, yeah, no. Joe, buddy, you should have done a lot more research before reviewing this movie, A LOT MORE. Because pretty much half the things you've said about this film are so heavily flawed and borderline biased that I'm seriously wondering if you paid attention AT ALL while watching it.
*1.* "The sequel nobody asked for"? Right, because the fact that it broke box office records within the first two days of release proves that nobody was looking forward to it. I've been waiting for another JP movie since I saw the third one when I was five (I'm eighteen now, so I've been waiting a long damn time.).
*2.* "It completely ignores The Lost World and Jurassic Park 3." Uh, no. No, it doesn't. If you had RESEARCHED the film beforehand, you would know that the pteranodons that escaped at the end of the third film were shot and killed in Alaska by Vic Hoskins that same year. It was his excellent handling of the situation that got him hired by Masrani in the first place.
*3.* The "romance and divorce subplots" you mention are HARDLY EVEN SUBPLOTS! Zach and Gray's parents' divorce is mentioned maybe once or twice throughout the entire movie! And the conversation(s) about them last maybe a minute tops! And the romance? The "romantic tension" is almost non-existent! And when it does exist it's relatively light-hearted and never effects Owen or Claire's actions during the entire film!
*4.* "Nobody grew, nobody changed." BULL. SHIT. Zach goes from being a Casanova-wannabe jerkass in the beginning to a serious fast-thinker who improvises and protects his brother in the middle-half of the film. And (Like you said.) Claire goes from being a very stoic woman who views dinosaurs as a number on a spreadsheet to protecting her nephews several times and leading a T. Rex right to the Indominus (That's the hybrid's name, by the way.) in FUCKING HIGH HEELS!
*5.* It's specifically mentioned that Masrani was the only person currently on the island who was qualified to pilot a helicopter. You clearly see later that InGen/Masrani had gunships, but the corporate helicopter was the only chopper available on such short notice.
*6.* Once again, the "family issues" you speak of are barely mentioned at all. The "forced romance" doesn't feel forced at all.
*7.* They DID use the original film score! They used it literally within the first five minutes!
*8.* "Didn't have the same awe as the original." Of course it didn't! Trevorrow probably knew that here was little point in trying to recreate the awe of living dinosaurs that the first film had. Twenty years, two sequels, and countless games later, people are used to the sight of dinosaurs! It's a neat little parallel between real life and the JP universe! Ten years since Jurassic World has opened and people have gotten used to the sight of living dinosaurs, you can deny it all you want, but you know on some level it's true. In real-life, it's been twenty-two years since the original Jurassic Park stomped onto the silver screen and blew audiences away with its dinosaurs! Now an animatronic dinosaur isn't as impressive as it once was! You can't recreate the awe of two decades ago no matter how hard you try! You can't top the original and there's no point in trying!
*9.* No. It fucking delivered.
*10.* I went to Jurassic World because I wanted to see Jurassic World. I wanted to see the continuation of the franchise that I've watched over and over again since I was two. Trevorrow did a fantastic job of bringing Jurassic Park to a newer generation.
You see Joe, the problem with your review is that (And you admitted to this.) you went into this movie with a negative opinion. And reviewers should NEVER go into a film with an opinion, because it creates a bias. And you're negative bias clearly shows throughout this entire review, and I am quite frankly very disappointed that you allowed that to happen. I watch you're reviews to get an honest opinion of a game or movie. I had already seen Jurassic World by the time this review was posted, and having seen it, know that you've blown some of these "problems" WAY out of proportions.
Sure, the movie is far from perfect, but overall the pros outweigh the cons, and I will gladly give this movie an 8/10. And I will proudly stand by that rating. Go ahead, call me a JP fanboy, because you're completely right in that accusation. The Jurassic Park films are my all-time favorite movies, and I'm sure that I have my own bias towards Jurassic World that warps my opinion.
I've only disliked one video in my entire time on UA-cam, but your review is so fundamentally biased and flawed, that I have to dislike it. I completely respect your opinion, Joe, and I will remain subscribed to you. I just hope that for future movies, you go to them with an open, unbiased mindset, and watch them from an entirely neutral point-of-view.

Why? thats what EVERY OTHER JURASSIC PARK MOVIE DID. They did something new to show that this was different. Get over it.

Just got back from watching Jurassic World, my god I was so happy... I was literally crying with happiness. I had been waiting for 12 long years, with constant delays and cancellations. I was so happy to actually get to see it!
And the film nobody asked for? I'm pretty sure everyone wanted to see an actual GOOD sequel to Jurassic Park. This made me feel like a child again, and films can very rarely do that... Hearing them putting the film down like this and saying 'no body wanted this' or 'it was unnecessary' is generally upsetting because Jurassic Park was my childhood, and the fact I can relive it was amazing. I had the same emotions watching Godzilla last year
I usually agree with your reviews, but not this. But I may be a biased fanboy, but it's because Jurassic Park influenced my life completely, I wouldn't want to be a film maker of it wasn't for JP, I don't know who I'd be without it. I hope to see more, with more imaginative ideas, and I'll definitely give this a rewatch.

It's estimated that the T-Rex can only run at 12mph.

I was ok with this film. Its stands well as a popcorn thriller and I wont mind if they do another one. We didn't need this film but hell it was entertaining so I'm fine with it.
Horscraft if anything, I just wanted to see them do this one more time to actually see if they can push the CGI even further, compared to how groundbreaking the original was.

Angry Joe, your criticisms are once again unbelievably dumb.
1. Everyone wanted Jurassic Park 4. Look at the figures and it screams out how wanted it was.
2. People weren't 'bored' of dinosaurs, satisfaction was in the low 90s, percentage wise. They needed a publicity stunt due to excessive operational costs.
3. Family issues? They gave the characters PURPOSE. They didn't even dwell on the issues, they just used them for motive. Other Joe is NOT right. It WAS 5 minutes, which means it was quick, easy exposition.
4. The military resources are limited by InGen because they want an excuse to use the raptors as weapons.
Fine if you didn't like it, but don't make such inane comments. Take the work at it's whole, don't just choose to ignore exposition for critical convenience.

Khoi Nguyen Hoang I am indeed serious, notice how InGen intended to use Jurassic World as a 'field test' and the total naiveté as to how effective Owen's control over the raptors was. This is why they showed the cage accident scene; for the military guy (I forget his name) this was essentially all he'd really seen. And this was based on one man's efforts.
He didn't say he wanted them in the field 'tomorrow', and the negative ramifications of using them isn't important in the context of the film, anyway.

4. Then realize that InGen doesn't run Jurassic World, thus allowing, I don't know, the Owner of the park to have a sufficient percentage of backup equipment to supply a threat such as this.
1. Biggest opening weekend EVER does not come from created hype. People wanted this. Look at news articles from the 00s and you'll see there was a big demand.
2. Publicity stunt had nothing to do with visitors being bored of dinosaurs, it was to do with getting company sponsorship funds. They wanted to put their name on something. There was nothing to suggest the Indominus would actually increase ticket sales to the park.
3. You haven't argued my point; the exposition was minimal. It lasted 5 minutes and gave me a reason to care about the relationship of characters in the movie. How can anyone view this as a bad thing?
4. There was a board that he had to answer to and astronomical costs. And he wasn't sensible with security and was an irrational man. This is mentioned numerous times through the plot. And if he wasn't that way, would we even HAVE a plot? Something has to happen for the dinosaurs to be rampaging.

Joe, I live your reviews, and I usually agree with them, but this is one of the few times where I STRONGLY disagree with you. I found this movie to be fantastic, and I will be seeing it again.
I said this movie was cliched and contrived and less incredible & amazing, more fun & stupid ; and so many people got mad at me and said the movie was AMAZING and INCREDIBLE and that I'm a nit-picky, cynical critic.

For a better regard of my experiences with sharing my opinion on this movie & a deeper explanation of my reasoning behind my opinion in this first comment : please read further into this comment chain.

Noah Heezius It might not be better than all others. But my judgement is comparing and contrasting every other piece of cinema that I've seen (and it's quite a lot). It's analyzing established cinematic techniques that can be seen in almost all movies. So when approaching any movie there is a standard created.
It's painfully obvious in Jurassic World where the writers used lazy writing and cookie-cutter cinematic techniques in order to make this movie. Does that make it bad? No. But it makes it less than incredible and less than amazing when compared and contrasted with other movies that have done what it was doing in a more original, creative, or (quite simply) talented way.
So when a person just watches Jurassic World, and says, "Such an incredible movie. The CGI was amazing! The writing was incredible! The characters were all good! The action was so cool! It was a perfect sequel for the franchise!"
Then I say, "hold on a minute, but what about this...?"
And if the only answer to my observations are, "you're just dumb and cynical and nit-picky and you hate dinosaurs or something!", than... yeah, my judgement is probably more fair and thoughtful - and thus arguably better - than their judgement.
I realized as well that the film was missing aspects and i absolutely dispised the drama the family was having, but overall i thought they put a really interesting twist to the story by adding the new dinosaur and the intensity of it being able to kill other animals in different ways.

Saying that either people are bad at judging movies because they're not throwing their life away watching other movies, or that I'm good at judging movies because I've thrown my life away watching movies. Either way, it's a very limited and rude way of looking at it.
But ignoring your attempt to take a stab at me.
There are plenty of fantastic movies that have been made over the past few decades. I'm only 24, but have taken the time to watch a good number of "top 100 movies" lists that have been put out there. So there are movies I've seen that have definitely raised the bar of what makes a movie amazing or incredible.
Just because you haven't seen something doesn't make it not exist in the big picture. But I don't have a problem if someone hasn't watched enough movies to have a fair and thoughtful view about them. It's just too bad people want to have a problem with me because I do.

Come on joe,you used to be cool. JW was a good movie, the whole point of the movie was to show what would happen if a concept like of an actual Jurassic park was realized and working. . t wasnt perfect, but to call it contrived and unnecessary really doesn't ring true to me.
The romance wasn't really that forced, the movie just took 2 characters who already had a minor implied history and good chemistry and put them together.
if we call that forced nowadays we can call almost every romance in every movie ever forced.
As far as the family issues go, man have you even seen JP1? Or any of spielberg's work for that matter? there's always family issues in the B plot, it's supposed to be a FAMILY MOVIE. it's obvious they wanted to make a movie in the spirit of JP1 and it worked.
As far as character development goes, Claire went from an uptight alcoholic, who sees the dinosaurs as nothing more than assets, o somebody who actually cares for her family and even hints at her caring more for the dinosaurs as wel ( the scene with the diplodoci i think they were).
Zach (the older one) starts out as a punky teenager who doesnt care about his family or the park to someone who gets sweeped away by the beauty of it (notice how his view of the park changes after the mosasaur attraction) and wants to help Gray (the younger one) after Gray confesses that he thinks their parents are divorcing. comeon there is development in this movie and you not seeing that only confirms that you went into the cinema making sure you wouldn't like the movie

Nopointasking Well said, I think people are scrutinizing and picking apart this film and tossing "It doesn't belong, it sucks compared to Jurassic Park" because they have a nostalgia boner speaking for them. It was a damn good movie and it had NO delusions of what it was AND the movie even addressed practically all the issues people would have with it, breaking the 4th wall kind of stuff, such as BG Wong talking about how NOTHING on Jurassic World is natural. That since the beginning (Jurassic Park) they've altered the DNA and made creatures that are not accurate. Giving (us) what we wanted. The Indominus-Rex was the next logical level.
People thinking Dinosaurs wouldn't get boring...look at Zoos, Aquariums. They're still wonderful places to exhibit creatures, but you honestly tell me that the 100th time you see a Tiger or Shark would still hold the magic of th first time? No, the film took an logical standpoint of wanting to take the park to the next level. The Romance was only used for a few fractions of the movie and never took over it, sure they cheesed it with the kids calling Owen a "Badass" but overall, not forced...Jurassic Park 3 was the forced relationship with the family.
People are entitled to their own opinion, but I feel Joe and company went in ready to blast the film and to that, I WIll not agree or give merit to their arguments. It sounds as if they brought their pitchforks and torches because the movie dares to be a sequel to Jurassic Park. Much like the film addressed, we need to grow up and adapt to the changes of the world. The film will never stand toe to toe with the original and it wasn't trying to. It's easily the second best in the franchise, where The Lost World had some bumps that (imo) lowered it from a amazing movie to fantastic/great.

comicfan1939 while I freaking loved that part, I kind of wanted more, that's all. I loved every moment of Godzilla coming in but certain changes (like killing off Bryan Cranston early) kind of irked me and Godzilla gets like 12-15 minutes of screen time, which is kind of off for a movie called GODZILLA.
That's just me though, least I got to see more of the dinosaurs here.

The movie focused on getting the I Rex out of its cage way too much. Jurassic Park worked on philosophy. It asked why we need dinosaurs, it questioned the difference between growing dinosaurs and growing current animals. The plot moved multi-linearly. Dennis nedry sabotage, the monsoon, restoring power, climbing the electric fence and meeting both carnivores and herbivores. It didn't just give people sharp teeth chomping away. Trexs vs indominus Rex vs velociraptor. And they wanted more teeth so they spliced raptor and trex. It was like watching frankenfish or Anaconda. Just running, monsters, running, monsters, monster battle. Crocosaurus vs megashark.
Titanic Too? Yeah okay. Ugh. This movie was awesome. Made sense mostly. Good movie.

They completely misunderstood the point of the divorce. The idea was to show the relationship between the brothers. The older one was rude to the young one, and during the movie the relationships grows.

explaination for the bubble scene: It was supposed to be in a giant ENCLOSED area, but the Idominus Rex broke part of the fence that kept it enclosed. So they really weren't able to go ANYWHERE, just explore that one little area.

Ok... I really hate the word unnecessary. What movie really IS necessary? No movie is really necessary. They are made to entertain just like the first movie was. Jurasic world is a mindless action comedy movie. It knows it's not a briliant movie so it doesn't really try to be. I would say as fas as sequels go... This is a pretty good sequel. Definetely better than 2 or 3. I will agree that the family issues were forced but the same issues were forced and unnecessary in the original movie to. Hamonds daughter is mentioned to getting a divorce and that doesn't go anywhere and there are also some other VERY similar instances in the first movie compared to the new one.
I saw the movie with someone that hasn't seen the original... They all thought the movie was amazing because they couldn't compare it with anything. So most of the hate for the movie really comes from the nostalgia goggles.
winnetouch I really liked this movie. I watched the first two but never saw the third one (never really tried honestly). Jurassic World is definitely the second best right after the original to me. I don't know what people who are complaining expected. It's "unnecessary" because it's "just like the first film"? It's a Jurassic Park movie, what did they expect? People would complain way more if they seriously deviated from Jurassic Park's format. A lot of people seemed to dislike the third one and I say this movie definitely made up for it. I suppose it wasn't necessary in whatever way people mean that, but was it entertaining as hell and a fun movie to watch on its own? Absolutely, yes!

winnetouch I'll agree with you that the 'unnecessary' argument is a weak one due to the fact that, like you said, no movie is really necessary because they're entertainment. Funny enough, John Hammond even says this in the original novel by Michael Crichton when talking about why entertainment is the only reason there would be to bring back dinosaurs. He says 'nobody needs entertainment'. But I have to disagree on a couple of your other points.
In the first movie, when Hammond's daughter is mentioned as getting a divorce, it's more or less a throwaway line to explain why Hammond couldn't meet with Gennaro. They certainly don't dwell on it the way Jurassic World does, so you never think of it as being central to the plot or characters or expect it to come up again. Also, my view was that the daughter they mention was the mother of Tim and Lex, which was probably why they were sent to Isla Nublar, so they wouldn't be around while the divorce was being finalized.
Also, saying that someone who watched Jurassic World without seeing Jurassic Park first enjoyed it more because there was nothing to compare it to is a pretty weak argument and says nothing about the quality of the movie. This would be like taking a starving child from a third world country and feeding a week old rotting cheeseburger and, not having any good food to compare it to, the child loves it. Of course he will in that situation. That doesn't mean the cheeseburger was good. Had your friend seen Jurassic Park instead of Jurassic World, they probably would have enjoyed it more. The slow buildup and reveal to the dinosaurs and the way the suspense was handled was absolutely perfect in the first movie and you could definitely tell Spielberg was at the helm. The way the people in the car look up in the dark and the T-Rex slowly raises his head, swallows the goat with a sickening crunching sound and then turns to look at the people in the car is amazing and hasn't come close to being matched by any dinosaur reveals in the sequels.
Also, I have to ask, what cave were your friends living in that they had never seen the original Jurassic Park. That's just mind-boggling!
***** The cave is called "the land where people like to do other things more than watch movies". When the original was filmed I was 5 years old. While the film is timeles a lot of my peer s didn't see the movie afterwards because they just didn't care enough to watch 10 year old movies. I know, I know, I think it's weird too but such is life I guess :P. I admit... Your point on the divorce is valid, but the point I tried to make with the people that hadn't seen the original was that Jurasic World is a good stand alone movie. That means if you don't compare it to the original you'll basically like the new movie. I think people keep expecting too much from movies that are sequels to classic franchises. If the original Jurassic Park was filmed today (with the exact same technology it was filmed in 1993) it wouldn't really be THAT successful. We keep expecting miracles from movies and are dissapointed afterwards for no real reason. But that's just my humble opinion... Nobody has to agree with it.

Shoeless Scoundrel That's not how it works in Hollywood. A great movie, made with passion and creativity, comes out and is a big hit. Others see automatic $ in a sequal , regardless of quality. So a whole different set of people will come in to buy the rights and instead they are not working to express something creatively but to basically cash in on the success of the original movie that was a success. Sequals are rarely as genuine as the originals. Not all, of course. There are plenty of good sequals....but for the most part, especially these days, they suck. There is much more risk involved in making original material.
I'm honestly dumbfounded at them saying that they wanted to see more of the dinosaurs. the original had like 15 mins worth of dinosaur scenes. Jurassic world is filled with dino scenes. I can't think of a single jp movie that had more dino screen time than Jurassic world did.

Damn, guys. I feel sorry for you. It seems to me that being critics makes almost anyone become really jaded, rarely able to just have a fun time with things because they have to worry about forming an educated, in-depth opinion about them. I agree that this was no masterpiece, like Fury Road for example, but it wasn't trying to be. Even if it had "Jurassic" in the name, it was clearly, in my eyes, a movie made for the fans, not the critics. I half expected this movie to tank, but I had almost as much fun watching it as I did Mad Max. For me, a movie is good if it was entertaining. And this one was.

I agree, this movie did such a great job. I wouldn't let nostalgia ruin a good sequel just because it doesn't have the original cast or elements from the first. I prefer fresh new start with a plot different or slightly different from the original. A lot of people nitpicked for Nostalgia reason which I wouldn't use Nostalgia for that exact reason. I would use it for the right reason and enjoy the movie for continuing the legacy the first one brought. Overall, I would have given it an 8 or 8.5 at least instead of a terrible low score.

One thing I didn't like about this movie was that the part after the escape of the Indominus and him reaching the Pterosaur aviary part was kinda boring. The kids barely reacted to being nearly eaten by the iRex, laughing when they got away, no kid would laugh. Oh and after they see their caretaker get taken by a Pterosaur and then eaten by a Mosasaur their first reaction was to ask their aunt about her boyfriend? Wtf dudes?

Was Jurassic World as good as JP1? No, it never will be as good as JP1.
However, was Jurassic World the closet we've gotten to reclaiming the magic of JP1 that was lost in its two sequels? I would say yes.
As for it being the, "Sequel no one asked for..." I call baloney. I know quite a few people who desired to see dinosaur movies once again return to the big screen, especially Jurassic Park. It's statements like that that really turn me off reviewers like AJ.

Like AJ's review of Dying Light in which he went on and on about being sick of zombie games, I'm extremely tired of Super Hero movies. Avengers 2 didn't bring out any of the excitement I felt watching Jurassic World or Mad Max Fury Road. Maybe I'd feel better disposed to Super Hero movies if they were spaced out a lot more, but man they just keep coming and coming...

You know the dinosaur battle between the Spinosauros(whatever its called,the thing with the weird spine) and the Tyrannosaur in the the third one.
If you look closely at the Tyrannosaur in this one you see a scratch on its neck.
If you paid attention to the battle you would`ve realized that the Spinosauros scratched the Tyrannosaur`s neck.
That`s the Tyrannosaur from the the first and third Jurassic Park.
The Jimmy Fallon cameo is a reference to the tram tours at Universal Studios Hollywood, which Fallon serves a similar role on.
Its not fucking titanic 2. the film was good, i deem it to be the best film this summer. slow start yes, some corporate bullshit yes. But Most of the Film was good and some parts even excellent. The film is not about dont fuck with nature, its about Dont fuck with nature the wrong way. it shows that you can learn from your mistakes but also when you are trying to push things to into totally unknown territory before you have done proper testing and dont tell people what you have done thats when shit hits the fan.

I'm a really big fan of jurassic park, and i really liked this movie and i have the feeling that if you watch only this movie as the first one or the only one, you were bitching far less, and the other joe, and the other guy i feel like they just go with joe for no reason, just because he's Joe, I can bet they liked the movie more then a 6/10. Me and my best friend Ethan connect great, as in we are awesome friends and team mates. Our friendship has lasted a long time. To show how long is we met when Saints Row 3 came out. And we are still friends to this day. I would like a movie about people working together, without romance. Just two guys working together on things and getting along, no girls falling in love with them or tearing them apart. Just two guys, stuff to do, and a friendship that lasts forever. If there are movies like that, tell me. One movie I have in mind is Gone Fishing. That's what i'm thinking of right now. It's one of my favorites. I'm going to have to agree with a lot of your points. I started counting the clichés and tropes about 1/3rd through out the movie. Then I ran out of fingers. I contemplated taking my socks off and continuing on my toes, but towards the end realized that wouldn't have been enough.
Still, I count it as a strong 7. A lot of things are great about this movie. But it keeps on getting interrupted by the most groanworthy of things. It's a fantastic rollercoaster ride that suddenly stops every ten minutes.
Apparently jeff did cameo in the movie with his face on a magazine cover.
Also it doesnt ignore JP 2 + 3 it just takes place on Isla Nublar the original island rather then Isla Sorna from.the other sequels
I have to disagree with Joe for once.
This is the only good sequel to Jurrasic Park, no one can tell me otherwise, and by the ratings on rotten tomatoes and the reaction of other people watching it, you can see that. But then again, joe has his opinion so..cant blame him if he dosn't like it PERSONALLY. But I at least got to comment on what he said, that if we wanted a close to the original jurrasic park movie, we would be disappointed? I was literally sweating when I came out of the cinema from all the suspense and action. The movie did something right for me, it feels really close to the original, but not as SPECTACULAR as the original. Its a good movie.
6? 6 out of 10, a great movie like this, of all the SHIT, the absolute boring, annoying stupid crap that I constantly see get pumped through the damn air waves, and this, this gets a 6? Jackass always gets 10's out of 10 no matter how dumb and schlocky they are, oh gee I always see unneeded shit like magic mike get decent reviews, but nope, a long awaited sequel that might very well revitalized a well beloved franchise, NOPE, 6 out of ten, barely above average! This movie was so better than 2 or three, and I actually rate those movies fairly high! I gave this an 8, the first movie obviously gets a 9 and occasionally a 10, The lost world always was a 7, and 3 well, that got a 6, not horrible, but not great, just a tad above average.
I didn't watch it... Because _nothing_ will be as good as the original...
And I still will never watch it,.... Because it _is_ going to suck...
No, it honestly isn't bad, it isn't bad at all, pretentious at some points yes, that I won't deny, but its a damn good movie!

Thomas Vincent Kennedy I found it to be a very boring predictable movie myself.
I'm just saying, the film is at least a 7 upon reflection in my opinion, its much better than 3 and it is a little better than The Lost World, which was something I grew up with.
I thought the Jimmy Fallon part while a clever idea (sort of as a way to relate it to today's Universal Studious Hollywood with the Studio Tour tide) I thought that seen was sorta weird and out of place in the bubble and maybe not say in the background somewhere sort of as more if an Easter egg than right in your face. Fun and interesting cameo still.
Jimmy Falon does the guides at Universal Studios... So that's why he's in jurassic world.
