Bethesda Game Studios released one bad game (Fallout 76) and it wasn't even a mainline project. Starfield will probably be good and everyone will forget Fallout 76 even happened.
Federation of Sleepy Femboys lol. No. People still be playing even without mods. Although 20,000 steam user wont be playing skyrim daily, every day, thousand will still continue to come back to skyrim because why not? Even without mods. You still can have fun on skyrim unlike New Vegas where you need mods to let you Start New Game....
I'm a dirty console peasant, who's never even played the DLC, mainly because I don't have it. I still consider it my favorite game. Mods aren't everything.
It was going downhill since Morrowind. The game is good, great even, but it was rolling down. Shit, even Joe around 5:50 says something like "you can upgrade your character easier than ever before!" as if dumbing the game down more and more and more with every instalment is a good thing, like the fact that you can be an orc with a big axe and not know a single spell and become the magic guild master (i dont remember how its called at this point lmao), how it poses no challenge to the player. From the complex way of building your character in Daggerfall or Morrowind where you could replay those games with different builds and have a completely different experience playing the game they went to this, the most simplified RPG ever, with the idea of "even a 5yo child needs to be able to play it so we can squeeze as much money out of it as we can" as their focus. Its still a good game, don't get me wrong. But you could see their focus shifting from making great RPGs to sacrificing the gameplay in favor of more sales.
@@aw2584 it’s not about squeezing as much money out of it it’s making it a fun experience for everybody because it’s not 2004 anymore games experience change play Dues Ex 1 from 2000 and then play Deus Ex Human Revolution it’s completely different wouldn’t you want to see games be fun for everybody who plays it?
@@aw2584 Personally I don't see it as a problem. In FFXIV, your character can level any job in the game, unlike WoW where you need to roll another character to even experience another job. Streamlining is not necessarily bad, it was so awkward having to mail resources to myself in WoW. The problem with Skyrim as I see it was it was bloody broken. Replaying it in 2021, I tried to marry my follower and she ended up bugged and walking out in the middle of the ceremony to permanently disappear from the game along with most of my stuff. It was a joke, I had to restarted the marriage 4 times and troubleshoot the problem with a online guide. Or that dumb Thieves Guild quest where you put rat poison in a brewing vat and yet somehow the quest has it that the already bottled mead reserved for taste testing somehow get's poisoned from that action. It's the same problem with Fallout 76, the games from Bethesda are janky and broken, the engine needs to buried in a deep grave and covered in concrete. But the leveling system in Skyrim is still great in my opinion, it really makes it fun anything in the perk tree can be a goal and I like that you level up specifically from your actions. It's a feature missing from a lot of RPGs.
The quests mostly completely suck imo, the characters are bland and are broken records and the combat is clunky BUT the scenery is awesome, the music is beautiful and the overall 'ambience' is unmatched.
The music sounds like it was made by the choir of russian armed forces also known as the alexandrov ensemble, or....red army choir (please no talking about communism, they’re not communist) they make real masterpieces as well
I can't believe how much this game still holds up almost a whole decade later. Mods or not, it's been easy to come back to Skyrim as comfort food when I can't find something to play lol
Try a big overhaul mod, like Skyrim Redone or Requiem. SkyRe let me (and is still letting me, 250 hours later) play through Skyrim again in a way that felt almost entirely new, especially if you do some play styles that are only possible with the mod (such as Necromancer or Duelist).
IGN - 9.5 GameSpot - 9.0 AngryJoe - 10/10 For some reason I thought AngryJoe would give it a lower rating then the other's, I was wrong. Edit: Skyrim is amazing! Edit 2 (2019): 4 years later and I came back to fix a grammar error. Cheers!
9.5/10, 9/10, 10/10? dafuq overhyped scores are these? AI sucks(enemies are just standing there as you beat the shit out of them with your left mouse button), combat the same, story line the same, faction and radiant quests are joke, and list goes on. without mods i wouldn't give it more than 5/10, and with mods 7.5/10
i forgot to mention that the game had shit ton of bugs and glitches and modders fixed those before Bethesda did. modders did way better job that the game developers. hahahaha. can't stop laughing when thinking about this. even now the game has few bugs that haven't get fixed. for example the crosshair bug
Federation of Sleepy Femboys I can't deny it is a joy to play this game for a very long time , modding community mostly kept this game alive . People buying semesters is fine no problem with that but people buying Skyrim in every single fucking hardware is beyond me ... Either those people have a problem or something or I don't know
Even in the base game there are invisible walls around some areas close to the base of mountains and sometimes when traveling across areas with lots of hills, even the edge of the map is a huge invisible wall.
Greedy Gamer Can confirm, I got the super special Remaster/Definitive/Complete/Wemadethe graphicsslightlybetterwhilebarelyfixinganyofthehundredsofbugssoyoucouldgiveussixtymorebucksforagameyoualreadyplayed Edition and I have encountered at least two invisible walls, both of which were on completely normal looking roads.
Greedy Gamer one time I walked into it and it just let me walk through. I mentioned so far out I fell off the map. It's weird out there. There is a lot of untextured hills and pits
+James Kirkland I like it more than other TES games, but it was also my first one. It's fun to play still though and I'm still finding new stuff still lol
+Baron Samedi Yes and no. Yes, It has way less mechanics and freedoms for you, and it holds your hand like you're some kind of child. No, becouse Skyrim streamlined old mechanics and is more fluid and easy to enjoy(and that's what it's all about, right? enjoyment) So more correct way of describing this game is it being different to Morrowind. In the end such statements as yours(no offense), is equivelant to comparing apples and oranges...
I'm playing Skyrim now in 2021... and holy shit. I can't believe I missed out on this absolute titan of a game. This 10 year old game puts games of this day and age to shame. Hats off to the devs who created this master piece 👏 🙌 👌
They have released like 10-12 games since skyrim, all of which have been either good or respectable games. They arent turning into corporate scum, they just fucked up massively.
santiago varela who gives a shit Fallout hasn’t been good since NV and it never will be again. Elder scrolls is probably also gonna get fucked unless they keep it like it should be, Single player with no microtransaction bullshit.
@@markky3050 you're mistaking Bethesda Softworks (the publisher) with Bethesda Game Studios. Bethesda Game Studios is the developer of the fallout TES franchise. The other games like Doom(2016), Wolfenstein games, Dishonored series and Prey were made by different subsidiaries of Bethesda Softworks
Elder Scrolls 6 and Starfield are in development and they aren't rushing either of those games. Just because they made one bad cash grab (Fallout 76), it doesn't mean they don't care anymore. You're an ignorant liar.
Unidentified Being wrong. Fallout 76 isn't the only example. They are literally doing it all for business now. Like how they require you to pay real money for their skrim mods. And i have yet to hear a positive business decision from them these past 5 years.
This is an OG Angry Joe Beauty! At a time when microtransactions were on the rise and skyrim in it's original form came out and hands down won GOTY, and arguably THE game of the decade for the 2010s. (Still alot of contenders for that though so I won't say it 100% is because there's too many good games from the 2010s, but its definitely up there). Little did we all know that 11 plus years later and still going strong, we would be coming back here to remind ourselves how much perfection this game truly was at its release, before we go back to loading back into our 110th playthrough as it's still the latest game in the franchise 😂. Todd- please. Just give us a gameplay showcase or a rough release date. Anything. I beg you.
TheFreePantheist WTF are you talking about it's $45 on steam for all 3 docs and the game and that's when it's not on sale. Also I know of games that suck ass and are still $60 after many years, price doesn't equal quality. Play TES 2 or 3 and you'll learn how shit this game is Toad Howard ruined TES and Fallout.
Henrey Eraser you’re telling me that you like when your character misses when you hit something directly in the face? And don’t say “get a mod” because most people play vanilla elder scrolls.
+Gewdvibes The pain-in-the-ass nature of Archery in Skyrim is to provide an incentive for the slow time aiming perk. Getting that perk trivializes aiming, and attempting to make a new character really makes things screwy if you get too used to having that perk.
Gewdvibes Yes I do prefer that combat, this is because it's based on my character's stats and not my skill. In other words a RPG not an action game. And I don't mind Skyrim however I don't think it should have been a main game rather a spin off or a new francise.
The little firsts that blow you away. The first time you fight a dragon. The first time you see a crazy waterfall. The first time you see a dragon and a giant fighting and think "oh that giant is wounded now my level 4 can take him" and promptly get put into orbit. This game has so many first moments like that
I've recently just completed the main storyline within 50 hours of gameplay and still feel like I barely touched the surface. Dark Brotherhood, Theive's Guild, just killing bunnies. So much to do.
Every RPG review now - "Not as good as skyrim" - "Open world like Skyrim" - "Should have been more like Skyrim" Elder Scrolls 6 will take the throne, but not my nostalgia
@@riotrecker8978 I wonder how many play the 'bad' side of the game? I'm probably the only White Knighter around here, never touched the DarkBrotherhood and Daedric stuff or even grazed a 'good' NPC on a save run for 10 years believe it for not xDD Thing is, I was about to do a DB run but then I heard Windshear got nerfed and so is total crap now, is this true sry?
@@netweed09 false unless you have the unofficial patch might have something to do with it btw I do all good and evil quests every dam time it's fine honestly you should play them all seriously so much content that you dont dive into
And when that line was first spoken, i didn't think it was true. Really makes 15-minutes of fame seem honorable these days (Looking at you, Insomniac. Ya done good.)
Skyrim will always have a place in my heart, my first ever Elder Scrolls game and I got it when I was 11. I literally can't explain how much the world means to me on a nostalgia level, going to Riverwood for the first time, Bleak Falls Barrow and walking over the hill to see Whiterun. The Special Edition has only made it better...
I wouldn’t say it made it better, I would just say it allowed you to experience that game on the new generation consoles. But everything else I totally agree.
Exactly the same feeling as most of the people crying the game was trash and adore Morrowind. Nostalgia and a love for harder rpgs that have less accessibility to more audiences
Impaleification Hard? No. Accessible to a wider scale of people? Definitely not. They've held off remastering Morrowind while spamming out every copy of Skyrim for any platform because Skyrim is more pick up and play as opposed to Morrowind. Not everyone is going to want to be thrust into something where they have to read constantly and try to figure out things via compass and map. Thats what hardcore RPG players want and cry about when they dumb it down.
I remember sneaking into a dwarven museum to steal items to craft dwarven arrows. I was being over confident and became overburdened. I snuck outside and a random dragon encounter happened. I struggled over to a corner to dump some of the weight and battled the dragon killing it. I regathered my stolen items and safely made it out. It was one of those immersive events I cherish to this day. It’s like one of those stories you tell by a fire within the game of Skyrim!
I'm trying to stop hating on COD because quite frankly it's become more overhated than overrated in my opinion, but yeeeeah no. Don't trade in Skyrim for COD XD
@@martinivanov1319 well younger people look at it as old but its rlly isnt but i can see why people could think is old cuz the graphics imoporved so much over the years a big jump
All I want is a skyrim remastered for the ps4. Same exact games, same vibe, same lighting, just different graphics. I remember how fun it was every Friday playing skyrim after school.
+Devin Black If you really want to, and have enough money to spend on your hobby, i would recommend buying a PC and mod skyrim to make a remastered customizable version of the game.
+Devin Black If you have a PC with a decent, middle-class graphics card (mostly anything with GTX in the title from NVIDIA, AMD you'll have to look up), just download Skyrim on the PC, grab the official HQ textures pack off Steam and/or grab some HQ texture mods off the Nexus, install a lighting overhaul (Enhanced Lights and FX is a good one, same with Realistic Lighting Overhaul and Climates of Tamriel, just be aware that you can only have one lighting overhaul installed at a time unless a patch is available), and install an ENB. Graphics that are better than any game on the PS4 with 60 FPS, can't go wrong with that.
Do i really have to play other elder scrolls games to understand something about this one because i m new to this franchise i was more in dragon age games and how is the combat and everything specially the 3rd camera view thank you
***** skyrim with mods is overrated. Hey look at this I can make a Dragon look like randy savage! That will adds tons of hours of gamplay. hey look 60 different types retextured armor and weapons! I can render nipples on my character! Hey a new house that basically looks like all the other ones but has new textures! Hey I can ride glitched out chocobos!
owen west or, extremely extensive questing mods, make those extremely easy to kill dragons actually fun and challenging to kill, endless companion mods, retextures that make the game look up to date and all kinds of game play mods that can make the game more interesting. You're clearly just another butthurt console fan boy trying to tell yourself that not having modding support is not so bad. Or at least, you never bothered to actually look around at all the mods there are and how well done a lot of them are.
owen west you for sure don't even know how to mod the game the right way, and you only mentioned the most shitty mods, I got now in my skyrim more than 254 mods by using merge patch, and my skyrim it just a whole new level I just never get bored of it, also I just want a new pc to add ENB to it so I can play with stunning graphics, I can usit now but I get like 15 fps so no... XD
danriu I spend more time getting all the mods to work together then actually playing them and when I finally do get it to work like you said I get the frame rate of a ps2. I could do that or I could play counter-strike or gmod and have just as much or more fun.
IcarusAblaze It may seem a bit complicated at first. But has any game ever hooked me that much like The Witcher 3 did. It'll be worth your while, trust me. Give it a try.
Rock Steel Right, but not the sequel. Skyrim was the sequel to oblivion, set 200 years later. Fallout 4 is the sequel to Fallout 3, set 10 years later.
I spent over 2 days setting up a badass mod list for Skyrim. I've been diving into it again and absolutely loving it. Quarantine baby, so much time to play. It amazes me how after over 9 years the game is still so much more enjoyable than 95% of the game that were released since then. Truly a masterpiece without equal.
64-bit :O no more 3.1gb vram limitation. Man, so much more mods can be run at the same time and more efficiently too. Although you have to give time for mod community to catch up and port stuff. As far as I know SKSE for SE is just being developed. So no point in "upgrading".
But what about the people who can't afford a pc you have a good point I have a pc but its no gaming pc I use for school It would never be able to run skyrim
***** i have a 500 euro laptop, its prob $750 converted, i can run skyrim all settings have to be the lowest quality or my laptop will have a s**t attack again and die lol, but honestly my laptop lags its d**k off even on those settings, aswell as the pc practically burns the table after 30 mins due to the heat it generates. so i can't actually play skyrim on my laptop so i only mod it and convert the save to either xbox or playstation and play it on them and build my own gaming pc in time.

CinemaPoker You can get your armor skill up pretty fast though. I was playing a warrior in steel plate and did a rotation which was get hit twice, then cast healing. In around ten minutes it got me to 35 heavy armor at only lvl four because each time a giant hit me, the skill was raised
What makes them better than Skyrim? Dont get me wrong, I love all three games but people who bitch that Skyrim isn't like Oblivion are just being kinda bitchy...games change over the course of a series. Final Fantasy 14 was NOTHING like Final Fantasy 3...because 3 was actually good...and everything after 3 was just garbage imho...Skyrim is a fantastic game. Its far superior as a Elder Scrolls game than that god awful Online attempt.
Arild Furf I need somebody to hold my sides, I can't breath, dude you should do stand-up. skyrim a masterpiece xD, dunno how you come up with this stuff, takes a special kind of mind.
GoAwayGoogle It's his opinion. He enjoys the game where you apparently have great animosity for it. Either way, no point in flaming someone for expressing their opinion. As for remastering the game, mods do a damn good job at updating the textures and effects to make it look more current. Just have to find the right combination of mods.
I love Skyrim for the soundtrack and atmosphere. Going from a big Field of grass to snowy biomes with glaciers with the music changing throughout locations is just amazing.
People find ways to get it for free. I myself just started this Gaming thing few months ago, I got the game for free because I'm poor and Bethesda probably already don't care about the game not to mention it already has reached it's quota earning few years ago. Give it a few years and TESVI would be more of a Modder's game than Bethesda's.
One thing I was upset about with Skyrim, the Witcher, and many other great RPGs is the stupid enemy AI. "Oh you went two feet up a rock? Let me circle you for 5 minutes so you can cheese me"
+basic204 I'm 50/50 on it. I hated the gunplay on Fallout New Vegas. It was stiff and the hit boxes felt innocent. That and I haven't upgraded to a 970 yet...
Been playing off and on since 2012. When I get immersed in Skyrim , I have a very special AMAZING feeling that I only get from Skyrim. I truly feel as though I'm living another life in a big, beautiful, mysterious, and magical fantasy world.
Federation of Sleepy Femboys piss off you literally go around the entire comment section and insult people just because they have a different opinion than yours. Shut the fuck up and let people enjoy things.
How the fuck have you gone through 2000 copy pasted tombs that respawn exactly the same where every SINGLE boss in the game besides like 3 is a draugr with 4000 health? Especially since there is no replay value as you can join every guild in 1 playthrough (Except both sides of the war, but they have the same quests so it doesn't matter). And don't even tell me about the world stuff. Become a vampire, master assassin and thief, and guards know about this and don't do anything. Especially because you can literally kill everyone in the game, pay like 100,000 gold, and be let of the hook. And Pickpocketing is the worst possible system, but lets you level up a ton, along with like 2-3 schools of magic that are completely useless, and the fact the game makes you make 0 choices at all. I mean you technically can make choices (except you cant, because everything is handed to you on a silver platter, whether you want it or not, so even if you don't want to be a thief, the message YOU MUST BE A THIEF is on the top of your quests afterwards), but a good game needs you to make choices, and forces you to, especially if the game claims to be an RPG. Honestly, the game is a recycled dungeons, casual combat, do anything you want anytime, kind of game that has a couple of good segments but is overall disappointing. Beat the whole game at level five using mostly healing spells, spend 40 hours on mostly the same quests next using spammed firebolts, and spend several hundred hours doing the same quest over and over afterward after switching to weapons because they fucked up magic progression and made it go the wrong way! Is not the kind of game I imagine people playing for hundreds of hours.
There are plenty of quests outside of Nordic tombs. Also, the game doesn't force you to join the thieves guild or any guild for that matter, are you incapable of ignoring it if it's in your journal? Also, a good RPG that forces you to make decisions in a linear fashion does not make it a better RPG, it's just different. A good RPG doesn't have to force you to do make decisions, especially not in TES series that capitalizes on allowing the player to create their own story with their "do anything at anytime" structure. This is what many players and Elder Scrolls fans value over a concrete and linear plot line where set pieces and decisions are thrusted upon you in a linear order.
But not necessarily a linear order. A journal implies a to-do list. Look at Baldurs Gate, where ignoring the main quest you can go anywhere anytime, but every quest has more than 1 outcome where some are really satisfying. In Skyrim, you get one choice: join the thieves guild. No options, just do it. And it doesnt even make you have to want to be a member of the guild, or use the lore to figure out about its existence. You just walk into town and get the quest: Steal and frame someone, and you cant decline the quest nor get an end result besides "yay youre in the thieves guild." You shouldnt have to ignore part of the game to play a certain type of character, the game should let you play a certain type of character and give you cool ways to do it. And 90% of the long dungeons are draugr, and the short ones are all bandits.
Magnus Anderson The journal is there to keep track of what you can do, there is NOTHING forcing you to do it. You don't have to join the thieves guild and you can absolutely decline the quest by pretty much just telling him to piss off, but it's still there waiting for you if you change your mind. If you're playing the type of character that has no interest in being a thief, I don't see why ignoring that part of the game is a big deal. And no they're not. There are plenty of dwemer dungeons, falmer ruins and a few forsworn dungeons. Half of the short caves that are filled with creatures rather than bandits.
There is nothing forcing you to do it, but thats beside the point. There are two main reasons I dislike this part of the game. 1: There is only 1 outcome. If you want to play as a thief, great! If you want to play a thief on another character, boring as shit. If you dont want to play a thief, screw you! If there is more than 1 outcome to the quest, it becomes more satisfying because it lets you play something other than a lawful evil character. Lets say you want to join with the one guy and change the guild to a more loosely accociated group of chaotic evil characters. Or you want to actually destroy the thieves guild because you are playing some type of good or neutral character. Skyrim does not let you do this. A roleplaying game should give you different roleplay options that all have conclusions rather than forcing you into one path you can choose not to walk along. 2: There are no logical reasons not to choose to join (in any guild). If you want to be a thief, the guards should treat you as one and try to kill/arrest you on sight, not give you easier bribes! Granted, this makes some sense in Riften which has corruption, but in Solitude? Guard: Your the leader of the thieves guild and the Dark Brotherhood? Dont hurt me. I used to be an adventurer like you. If there are no repurcussions in the game people wont even realize they are actually thieves, because they are treated like normal people who happen to be thieves. Thats not to say this is a bad part of the game if you actually want to be a lawful evil thief. But when the game gives you no other options(and I am not considering not doing things to be an option because that doesnt make sense, an option is something the game lets you do, not something it lets you not do.)
Skyrim is still a masterpiece RPG game of its time even though Bethesda have fallen recently, 9 years after there are very few game can reach Skyrim overall performance in game. We are living in a good time on gaming history.
Yeah. Skyrim had its issues. But its still one of the best action RPGs ever. And while Witcher 3 has taken the crown, its pretty fair to say Skyrim walked so that The Witcher could run
It's always going to be good, especially now after the Re-mastered version brought up it's visual fidelity to really make the 'HD' details stand out in 1080p now. It's going to be the full 3D version of those Hall of Fame games like Tetris and Chrono-trigger. But much better obviously
@@monkeykingdew744 I can't agree or disagree. It depends on YOUR definition of RPG imo. It is not a typical old school RPG but you could RP in the game if you decide to. Have you ever try to 'live' as in character inside of Skyrim? Like waking up, cooking up some food, talk with your spouse then decide what to do for the day? You see? It really depends on how you approach the game. Same situation apply to Fallout series as well.
Yes and fighting for the empire no less. If I were him I would be fighting for my homeland against the evil Thalmor or dragons..actually as it so happens my cousin is out fighting dragons and what do I get? Guard duty..
Darth Vader Well long story short, I went on an adventure (before I was a guard) I heard the screams of a women so I went to investigate. Apparently she had been kidnapped. I ended up fighting around 100 forsworn, took out about 90 of them and than I took an arrow in the knee. Safe to say, that ended my adventures. Now I’m a Whiterun guard, but by the nine it’s the most boring job in all of Tamriel. Would not recommend.
Live up to the hype. Hah That's quite funny given that Skyrim is more of a modding engine than an actual compelling RPG...and it's state on release was abysmal too...boi do we, gamers have short memory span. The game lived only due to its hype and further modding support. The last good thing Bethesda gave the world was Oblivion and that too was poor in RPG quality compared to Morrowind. So fucking sad that Cyberpunk blew it while knowing that Bethesda's rpgs will be shit and most other rpg franchises are in the gutter too.
@@WaywardHex Nah disagree. I had the most epic of times when I got Skyrim. I played for MONTHS/Years even in total. I've played Cyberpunk less than a month. And I never did mods for Skyrim, so your perspective is obviously from a very geeky POV. But I think more people agree with Skyrim living up to the hype, than Cyberpunk ;) Which is my point.
@@WaywardHex Dude. Been playing games for my whole life and Skyrim was AWESOME when it came out. I played on Xbox and LOVED it. Even now I can say that game was a masterpiece. When it came out it was the talk and it lived up to the hype 100%.
@@Christian-el2bz The core rpg mechanics and combat system in Skyrim sucks balls. I had to download 14 different mods to make the combat and levelling more palatable. Also the main questline is a super-fucking generic hero's journey, it pales in comparison to Dragon Age Origins or Witcher 3. The main selling point of Skyrim is that its more immersive.
@@WaywardHex You barely even played it, did you? Skyrim was fun for both RPG spergs like myself who played KOTOR and Mass Effect for years, as well as the average rando who hasn't even finished Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I had such a blast playing it that I went ahead and played other Elder Scrolls games just because I had such fun with Skyrim.
Just recently, my friend bought me Skyrim remastered for my Xbox one. I went into this franchise with little knowing about the elder scrolls series, and not very big of an RPG player only playing Mass Effect. So I was a little worried that I wouldn't enjoy Skyrim as much only to leave it behind after a month. But after the first 2 days of playing the story, I was already having so much fun playing the game enjoying so many moments I had even when screwing around. When my first dragon encounter came, I was worried, but I was so happy when I killed it and saw it's corpse burning, absorbing it's soul to use more amazing powers I have yet to discover! And the mods made it more exciting to play using only improved graphics mods respectfully to make the world look more beautiful than before. I think it's safe for me to say I am already a fan of Skyrim and I can't wait to see what the world of Skyrim has for me as I continue my journey!
+1234zcrom Dude, you won't regret it. I would have just preferred some kind of Coop Skyrim mode by the developers than a generic MMO with TES written on the cover
+filipinowhiteboy I was and still am fully against ESO ever since it was announced. When I heard about it my eyes widened and I went "nonononononono!!" Oh Joe, if only you knew...

@@aw2584 it’s not going downhill it never was
@@aw2584 Personally I don't see it as a problem.
4 years and its still really fucking good and immersive game. 11/10

The music... The music... The ambience, the scenery...

Pedro Ferreira Not the gameplay, I agree.
Pedro Ferreira the modding community for me
The quests mostly completely suck imo, the characters are bland and are broken records and the combat is clunky
BUT the scenery is awesome, the music is beautiful and the overall 'ambience' is unmatched.

The music sounds like it was made by the choir of russian armed forces also known as the alexandrov ensemble, or....red army choir (please no talking about communism, they’re not communist) they make real masterpieces as well

Cheesycurve 54 yeah. Well, I was actually born in late 2002, but whatever. Close enough, I guess.

It's simply one of those games that lived up to the hype, another example of this is Half Life 2, truly one of, if not the greatest game of all time.
Disco Inferno I haven't played any games from the Half Life series. Should I play the 3 games?

All I want is a skyrim remastered for the ps4. Same exact games, same vibe, same lighting, just different graphics. I remember how fun it was every Friday playing skyrim after school.
Yea some good times! spent a whole summer playing that game lol.
+Devin Black If you really want to, and have enough money to spend on your hobby, i would recommend buying a PC and mod skyrim to make a remastered customizable version of the game.
+Devin Black
There's a free DLC on steam for a texture pack upgrade.
Ps4 sucks ass
This game will always have a special place in my memories. I'm proud to say this was the first game I had ever played 20 hours straight.

The story was AMAZING in my opinion. It only took me a few years... But I got all my skills to 100 then to legendary then to 100 again!
Congrats! I have to get back into the game and figure out when I left off for last couple of years. So many games and so little time.

This game is crazy good. I think the PC version adds tons more to it, with all the addons. Easily one of the best games i've played in my life
With mods, it's one of the best games ever. O.O

I spent over 2 days setting up a badass mod list for Skyrim. I've been diving into it again and absolutely loving it.
Quarantine baby, so much time to play. It amazes me how after over 9 years the game is still so much more enjoyable than 95% of the game that were released since then. Truly a masterpiece without equal.

my reason was Osex but yeah, I can see what you just said happening.
They should make a remastered version of this for xbox one and ps4
just buy pc and mod it
But what about the people who can't afford a pc you have a good point I have a pc but its no gaming pc I use for school It would never be able to run skyrim
Im not into pc gaming

I just started playing this game yesterday. I went up to a giant and got sent 100 feet in the air! I was like "WTF"
Basic Rule of Skyrim: Don't fuck with Giants. xD
At least, not till you've got some good gear ;)
Ah, the infamous up up and away bug. It's definitely hilarious.
I Sir Laughsalot I think you mean the Tamriel Space Program. :3
I made the same mistake. First time I saw a giant I was curious if they were friendly. Soon enough I found out I was not faster than them.
CinemaPoker You can get your armor skill up pretty fast though. I was playing a warrior in steel plate and did a rotation which was get hit twice, then cast healing. In around ten minutes it got me to 35 heavy armor at only lvl four because each time a giant hit me, the skill was raised
2014 and I still play this. Can we get another great Elder Scrolls?
Yeah there's been two others which are better than Skyrim.
Jampandagaming
what are they ??
I'm wondering too @odai halaseh
odai halaseh Oblivion and Morrowind.
They should remaster skyrim for next-gen with better graphics
YES!
I WANT THIS TO HAPPEN!
@Arild Furf
Remaster a game from 2011? Were you high or something?
Skyrim is an masterpiece and better than most "next-gen" games
Arild Furf I need somebody to hold my sides, I can't breath, dude you should do stand-up. skyrim a masterpiece xD, dunno how you come up with this stuff, takes a special kind of mind.

It's his opinion.
I really hope that ES 6 dosnt have microtransactions...
They’ll put them in, even if it’s not at release.
TES V has the creation club where they get idiot's to pay even more real world money for shit that should have been in the game from the start
What would they use them for? Save states? Gold?
There will be.
Watching this just before Bethesda remaster it for E3 2016!!!

well yeah, because it'll be awesome. skyrim is still amazing, then again, i mod that shit so much. it never aged.
One thing I was upset about with Skyrim, the Witcher, and many other great RPGs is the stupid enemy AI. "Oh you went two feet up a rock? Let me circle you for 5 minutes so you can cheese me"
That's just the case with most games. I mean.. it takes actual time and effort to make a perfect AI. To even make a good AI.
I guess they took inspiration from the storm troopers in Star Wars.
Is it weird that I put over 2500 hours into this game?

700 hours in and i am not even remotely bored yet lol
"YOU BUY YOU BUY NOW YES?!?!"
Skyrim is not a rpg but I still respect your opinion
@@monkeykingdew744 I can't agree or disagree. It depends on YOUR definition of RPG imo.
It is not a typical old school RPG but you could RP in the game if you decide to. Have you ever try to 'live' as in character inside of Skyrim? Like waking up, cooking up some food, talk with your spouse then decide what to do for the day?
You see? It really depends on how you approach the game. Same situation apply to Fallout series as well.
@@MingWLee yes but every rpg needs a rpg system but Skyrim just has a perk tree

Yes and fighting for the empire no less. If I were him I would be fighting for my homeland against the evil Thalmor or dragons..actually as it so happens my cousin is out fighting dragons and what do I get? Guard duty..
@@dislikes2724 Agreed, I was going to ask you sir, what happened to your knee?
Darth Vader Well long story short, I went on an adventure (before I was a guard) I heard the screams of a women so I went to investigate. Apparently she had been kidnapped. I ended up fighting around 100 forsworn, took out about 90 of them and than I took an arrow in the knee. Safe to say, that ended my adventures. Now I’m a Whiterun guard, but by the nine it’s the most boring job in all of Tamriel. Would not recommend.
@@dislikes2724 Man.. really sucks. I hope things improve for you soon
i only fear that elder scrolls 6 will suck.
I just hope they MAKE an Elder Scrolls 6..
***** They have already announced that they are working on TES 6.
arjenbij Well that's good. Let's face it, ESO is no ES game..
***** ESO sucks ass. Indeed it's nothing like an elder scrolls game indeed.
You are the only one. Bethesda knows what they are doing. The have proven it time and time again.
I had to come back here, to relive how an overhyped game feels, when it actually lived up to its hype.. Yeah Im looking at you Cyberpunk 2077...
TheSpartan117, How's the journey? Btw. I'm still playing it Lol!
@@jamesescondo708 To this day, he awaits the answer to his fabled question...
@@ckdanny Lol
this vid makes me wanna drop eso and start playing skyrim again.
JUST DO IT!!!
***** I did. No regrets.
+1234zcrom Dude, you won't regret it. I would have just preferred some kind of Coop Skyrim mode by the developers than a generic MMO with TES written on the cover
+1234zcrom Ah jeez man, I am a fan of Elders Scrolls and I didn't even give that game a thought.
+filipinowhiteboy I was and still am fully against ESO ever since it was announced. When I heard about it my eyes widened and I went "nonononononono!!" I'm just scared that Zenimax will set their sights on Fallout next. ESO is just a generic MMO with the ES brand name slapped on it to try and sucker traditional ES players into buying it.
